Good video guys, not a big fan of the running out of fuel. You should have topped the tanks in A.C. Those 25 year old gauges should not have been trusted. Lesson learned I guess. Good luck with the new boat.

Ok don’t sell it

If you aren’t tuning or doing any real performance mods, don’t worry about the lift pump. I would suggest replacing the fuel filter head before the seals inside start to deteriorate. 3” Downpipe will help it breathe a lot as well and aid in keeping it cooler. Also, do the Allison deep sump pan, I noticed quite a difference in transmission temp after doing it to my old truck.

With the money you have spent you couldn't have brought a new truck that has def that will give you problems.

I have a 2006 GMC 3500 crew cab 4wd long bed. I absolutely love this truck. It is pushing 655 horsepower. It pulls as well as my 2023 GMC dually.

Ben, A tad of advice, if you have to do the same hole patch again. There is a easier way just take a lath of fibergalass batten or lexan highly polish on one side and screw it on the outside with 5200. shiny side in. Upon arrival take out your interior and grind back the usual tapers and the self tapper threads with care. Gelcoat the polished batten, apply 2 ;layers of finishing cloth. Remove the Batten, prepare the inside to accept the correct spec lam schedule vacuum in correct laminate and core schedule. On the outside countersink and fill screw holes and profile repair. If you do it right there is hardly any sanding on the outside of the hull. Also if your last laminate on the inside is sized to fit between frames etc, just the normal heavy interior gelcoat will mask the repair. As a retired boatbuilder I've used this process where possible for decades. Good luck.

Threw some two new front wheel bearings on her and she's rolling...Previous owner had it deleted, straight-piped and tuned...I could not be happier. These trucks are gems.
