I was so confused at first, i was like… i could’ve swore this dudes channel was “makin motor moves” or something with like the triple M logo thing. I watched the entire build series (i recent got myself a formula F20, found your formula videos) & watched basically all your content. Glad to see the boat is practically finished. Kinda wild that you’re selling it but I do the same thing lol. Keep up the content. If you’re bored, check out my light restoration. Floors, stringers & bulkhead replacement. 305 SBC rebuild. Can’t wait to get it on the water
Too many wannabes in the comments. This guy has the balls to show real numbers most guys are way to sensitive to post real prices. I love this build and look forward to more from him
I love watching your videos. I've been Boating for over 50 years. Owning one of these Sea Ray Cruisers, has always been a dream of mine. Looks like you've got this boat about 95% finished. It's the cosmetic things that add up, and nickel and dime you on Boat's like this. Your price isn't unreasonable. I would suggest you focus on a different market. Boat buyers on the Great Lakes are definitely looking for these Sea Ray's. The fact you've got a trailer makes selling it to them easier, especially if you're willing to deliver it. If it was me, I'd keep her, but I get the reasons why you're trying to sell it.
I like your enthusiasm and passion for boat. You will never get back the cash you put in boata to make them how you want it. I hope you learn that by the time you move on to another project.
What a valiant effort brother! Life is awesome if you're daring enough to chase after it. That boat wasn't going to come to you, you had to work your ass off for it. Well done.
Love your passion, your a honest young man, I once owned a marina on lake Gaston NC and VA borders, I know about the love for boats, it seems to me you have did everything you said you would do and have taken care of all concerns the next owner will have, if something has slipped by you and I highly doubt it wasn't done on on purpose I believe, I just can't understand the negative comments but they do turn into a positive when RUclips counts views and comments for their logarithms process, remember keep being the honest person you are
Ben if you go to online you can get a rust remover for the upolstry called erusticator carpet and upholstery cleaners use it it works amazing you squirt it on and the put neutralizer on it it puffs a little cloud of smoke and the rust is gone
Hi Ben..great video..an long!..but watched it all..well done matey! I noticed the Bayliner Advani just down from you..ive got the same one..1988..in the process right now doing a refit on her..OAL..32 feet..subed
I've been watching your channel for while. Love the content. You helped inspire me to get a project boat for my son and I. Also, heads up there is a great looking 1995 Baja 420 that I think would be perfect for your channel that just popped up on the marketplace. It's cheap too!
Great sunday morning. Just watched all your videos today on this boat. Amazing job. Hope it goes to a good home. You start off with 2 iowa men buy a boat but you live in Maryland. Just curious. Thanks. From another boat owner in Long Island new york 😊
Starbright makes a couple good products there hull cleaner will get rid of the rust they also have a good vinyl cleaner to get rid of the mold that gets stuck down in the pours and won't harm it like bleach does both work great didn't have a cover for my boat so constant fighting the mold and water was dirty at times in 😮cheasapeake bay and would stain the hull when didn't have good wax on er so hull cleaner was awsome could watch it go from dingy tea color to clean off white
There are plenty of forgotten yachts, why don't you give it a shot on Ben's budget and see where you get. I'd love to watch more content like this and hopefully you can humble yourself in the process.
Old boats are such a waste of time and money. And I say that as I am about to waste a lot of time and money on an old boat. It's my Dad's old boat and I got it free thouugh, so that is my excuse.

Thats what B.O.A.T stands for.... Bring Out Another Thounsand....lol.. Great job. The restoration looks amazing.
Dot 3 brake fluid removed rust stains from carpet for me. Recommended by a family member in carpet biz for 40 years plus!
Sea ray sun sport is such a great look! It still keeps up with the modern boats I think
What a beautiful project. Great job!
Really appreciate the honest info on what it take to restore a boat

That means a lot to me! Thank you for tuning in. I could be a lot better at posting but I still have a full time job. Would love to do this full time!
Well done with the costs, I hope to see this boat on the bay sometime. I too just started with a 16 footer scarab, definitely still learning!
It’s going to be sad seeing the old girl go. That’s a lot of value for the price.
It was a great time working on her with you guys.

Awesome looking boat. Y’all done, fine job beautiful. ….Tiny Houston MS
Hope she sells quick, onward and upwards

LMAO🤣🤣🤣
15K???? They laughed all the way to the bank!!
We purchased our Sea Ray 390 EC, with a dinghy, all turn key ready in pristine condition for 38K
What year is your boat and what year did you purchase it?
amazing work 👍

Was nice to see your content learned alot !
I use bleach and water to remove stains in v berth. But you could also put some wood trim around that place where the rust is
bleach is very hard on stitches.
In a perfect world, we get out what we put into a boat or car. It isn't a perfect world
This is perfection great boat!
Damn about time we love the content

That’s really awesome thank you very much. What project did you get?
West marine sells a rust stain remover I’ve found it works great I’d give it a try on the inside of the cabin
for the rust stains, try a product called iron out
Great job love the boat
Try garment dye to mask the pulled, rusted staples on the interior
Muriatic acid removes rust stain from fiber glass very well just don't let it touch your skin

I moved from Iowa to MD.

CLR removes rust. I’d test it in a inconspicuous space first tho
@@WOKEMINDVIRUSMAGA I was thinking the same thing.
My favorite party of Scotty is that his car channel is secretly disguised as a finance channel, and no one is the wiser.
Who the heck is Scotty?
Restoring a Whaler would be a much better investment.
No kidding!
That boat was so ahead of its time ! My buddy’s uncle owned one new .. had to be a doctor or a drug dealer to afford one new ..
Nice boat youve fone alot of work to it but those aren't HEI distributors
Misspoke. You are correct.
Use oxalic acid to take off the rust stains
Get some oxalic acid to get rid of the rust stains
After all that hard work why are you selling it!
Finger crossed for something from this century next.
For sale ?
You need to show complete restoration it’s half assed restored

Try vinyl paint for rusty
That’s Martys’ boat? 😂
You said the cover was detrimental in keeping your work intact. In other words it made it worse. I think you mean instrumental.

I paid 1500 for boat little nicer then that. 1 good motor other just need head fixed. Bigger cabin
🤣🤣🤣
Just cover the rust stains and ugliness with fresh marine vinyl. Glue it down to the stains.
It’s 2 cold 2 go 4 a Boat-ride.?.?.?. Besides 4 that NOT being a thing. . . . Just put on the heat . . .

500 hours is about time for a rebuild with inboard gas engines
Thats not true.
@@BoatRestorationByBen has been for every inboard bbc engine I've had. Rebuilding one now that had 440 hours on it.
@@brandon1566 lol sucker
Not true.
I really do not understand why you would have done a temporary repair that way. Atleast you could have put a layer of glass over the top of that….
Oxalic acid from Amazon. Great rust remover. Bad to breathe or touch.
There is a youtube channel called Boat life is best and his 18ft boat is called 1/4 life crisis what are the oods lol
Seriously, how many adds can you have on one video? Seriously
Pay the money to lose them
I don’t usually subscribe to channel that have that many adds
To much talking less work bullish
Wow. Didn't even show it driving. Narcissist.
There are a few shots of it driving.
Best days for a boat owner. When you buy it, and when you sell it.
Unless your a fisherman

Sorry! It’s not me it’s RUclips. Hour long videos get peppered with ads!
