  • This is it, the last dance... In today's video, I recap the last 3 years restoring my 1992 Sea Ray 380 Sun Sport. This boat is what helped my RUclips channel take off and is a huge part of my boating career. It is time for the next project BUT WOW what a great boat this was. I look forward to sharing with you everything we did to get the boat where it is today... AND I look forward to passing her off to her next owner! (hopefully this video helps her sell...) Enjoy!
Welcome to Boat Restoration by Ben! This is a channel based around all things boat and yacht restoration related. I work full time in the marine industry and when I'm not at work, I'm currently restoring my one of a kind 1992 Sea Ray 380 Sun Sport. This is my 12th boat project! From $100 boats to 60 year old relics, I started small and worked my way up. Despite my best judgement, I buy boats that need A LOT of work and fix them up myself. I grew up boating at the Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri, went to school to become an engineer, worked at John Deere for 5 years, and then decided to give it all up to pursue my dream to work in the recreational boat industry. Now having since moved to the Chesapeake Bay area, my mission is to share with the world my love and passion for mechanics and wrenching through my marine projects all while teaching you how to enjoy boats on a budget. I hope you Like these videos and please don't forget to Subscribe! Cheers, Ben.

Too many wannabes in the comments. This guy has the balls to show real numbers most guys are way to sensitive to post real prices. I love this build and look forward to more from him

I was so confused at first, i was like… i could’ve swore this dudes channel was “makin motor moves” or something with like the triple M logo thing. I watched the entire build series (i recent got myself a formula F20, found your formula videos) & watched basically all your content. Glad to see the boat is practically finished. Kinda wild that you’re selling it but I do the same thing lol. Keep up the content. If you’re bored, check out my light restoration. Floors, stringers & bulkhead replacement. 305 SBC rebuild. Can’t wait to get it on the water

I like your enthusiasm and passion for boat. You will never get back the cash you put in boata to make them how you want it. I hope you learn that by the time you move on to another project.

I love watching your videos. I've been Boating for over 50 years. Owning one of these Sea Ray Cruisers, has always been a dream of mine.
Looks like you've got this boat about 95% finished. It's the cosmetic things that add up, and nickel and dime you on Boat's like this. Your price isn't unreasonable. I would suggest you focus on a different market. Boat buyers on the Great Lakes are definitely looking for these Sea Ray's. The fact you've got a trailer makes selling it to them easier, especially if you're willing to deliver it.
If it was me, I'd keep her, but I get the reasons why you're trying to sell it.

Love your passion, your a honest young man, I once owned a marina on lake Gaston NC and VA borders, I know about the love for boats, it seems to me you have did everything you said you would do and have taken care of all concerns the next owner will have, if something has slipped by you and I highly doubt it wasn't done on on purpose I believe, I just can't understand the negative comments but they do turn into a positive when RUclips counts views and comments for their logarithms process, remember keep being the honest person you are
