Isn't it crazy how many people have boats that just get neglected? In our area people just don't realize the work it takes to maintain a boat in salt water! Salt water can destroy a boat quickly if you don't stay on top of the maintenance. First to go is the bilge area if its wet with salt water!
Looks like a nice 320
Not that nice … couldn’t get it started! It was neglected.
Great video. Please tell us the make model and year of the boat. This will help understand all the information you are sharing
Thanks so much 😊
Searay Sundancer 2005
Sure it will start but that boat needs to be pulled to clean and paint bottom. Major clean up for interior. Cha ching time.
So far it hasn’t started 🥴 but definitely needs some clean up!
I was looking forward to the will it start then it changed to an air conditioning job
We finished up had to get new batteries and didn’t go back for a couple weeks! Still hasn’t started!
No it won't start. The plugs to the EST distributor and other connectors are corroded
Among other things … 👍 after 3 years of sitting!
Matt just said one won't even turn over!
It doesn't surprise me after seeing how people treat their cars. 50k cars and up never get washed or maintained like they will run forever. It's worth taking care of things says the guy who has been driving a Jeep CJ 7 for 35 years!
Agree with you! We still drive a 1997 & 2003 original owners we bought both cars brand new and we take care of them! Our mechanic tells us to keep driving them. Boats are definitely neglected!
Sea Ray has a 12 volt plug on the helm that you can plug into and as long as the battery charger is OFF it will power that engine hatch. Hard to believe people let a boat go like that. Sad.
Yes very sad …. Boats take maintenance.
That’s a great project for someone. Sea-Ray’s are good boats if it’s V-Drives. 350’s are a bit under powered though….
Yup if you like gas engines!
You should park wherever you want if you're fixing boats. Otherwise why not use a golf cart like everyone else in Florida?. :-)
We do ride a golf cart sometimes but it just doesn't hold the amount of tools that are sometimes needed for our jobs. Since we don't always know what we are getting ourselves into.
SeaRay in their infinite wisdom has placed the circuit breaker for the engine hatch lift in the engine room of a 310 I am working on. So if the breaker trips there is no way to lift the hatch to reset the breaker!
Isn’t that crazy?
If you add enough started fluid directly in the carb lol
I have to say I was disappointed in this video. The title suggested that I would see your process on the steps taken to troubleshoot what was required to start engines that had been sitting dormant for a long period. All I learned was that the batteries were dead. Duh! You left me hanging and I don’t even know what type engines you were trying to start. I’ll never trust the video title again.
No problem Wayne … you can move along and don’t need to watch.
Business must be good, a new hat . Electric hatches, yghhh, take too long to open and sometimes just don’t.
Yay a new hat 🤣 that he’s not crazy about! The sides mess with him seeing good enough from hitting his head! Yes took a bit to get that hatch open.
I would love to get one of those boats and repair one for my family and I. How do I get a chance to get one similar to what you testing?
These can be an expensive headache so make sure you check them out good and hire professionals to test!
I thought I left this on Sunday, but I don't see it now. Anyway...leave a little time at the end of the videos so we can have time to leave a thumbs up. I often forget until you remind me.
Best thing to do is give the Thumbs up right at the beginning so you don't forget at the end! We had asking for the thumbs up but I guess people need to hear it sometimes.
gunna cost about 5 k to bring her back to her former glory maybe more if there's no hidden surprises but if your into tugboats that kool too.😊
Might be a bit more then 5k we still didn’t get an engine started so we know there are problems with one for sure.
More 25k
@@mechanic4744yup just depends on the findings!
5 grand for the haul out, bottom paint, wax, interior...
👍👍 did you get the boat to start?
Not yet had to get new batteries & install a battery charger.
I want that boat who do I get in touch with to discuss?
Let us find out if the owner wants to sell it!
I really like your channel but Ya may want to get some floor protection under all those tools laying on those nice wood floors.
Great idea 👍
Should start no problem still after 3 years its not that long
Hasn’t started yet … we will see!
Anyone interested in a 1986 hydra sport with a 1997 Johnson V62 stroke the only problem is it stalls when I put in forward a brand new 2023 trailer asking $6,000 for it just want the money for the trailer
Do you live in KWest?
@@WillFixThat no New York pawling
Cool I grew up in Rochester. I’d put your boat on marketplace. We just bought another boat a few weeks ago.
@@WillFixThat I did all I got was scam people
@@artyweaver7093wow that’s different then what we’ve experienced.
of course it will start. It's mechanical or electrical.
Well hasn’t started yet … we will see.
Whatever happened to this boat theres not an update video of it
We didn’t go back … needed much more than the client wanted to spend. Recently noticed the boat has been moved.
@@WillFixThat oh ok
