Whenever I get a new to me boat I go through everything and one thing I do is get a new bilge pump that is way overkill for the size boat then the old pump I remove, put clamps on the end and keep next to batteries so if there is an electrical issue I can just clamp it the battery to use and also if another boat is having issues I can toss it to them. My first boat was a small 18ft and I put like a 3,000gph pump in it. It was blue sky’s, no storms forecasted this one day. Put the boat in the river which was a no wake area for about a mile to the lake. In the snap of ur fingers a storm came there were 8-12footers. My girlfriend and the other couple were very scared yelling for me to turn around as water came over the windshield. I yelled for them to put life jackets on and I can’t turn around we will flip over we need to pass the pier. The water got up to the floor but the bilge pump was like a fire hose. Finally had a chance to turn around and I rode a wave really far in.
The navy out sourcing repairs 😮 and the funny thing that I found out from my dad those hydraulic lift jack plates that lift vertical my dad designed for mercy and yamaha 😅 odd things I find out after he retired

Omg they should be praising you for saving them and being brave enough to get everyone out of harms way with your boat filling up with water 🤗

Worked on it for 8hrs we installed new bilge pumps. Matt was checking on one of our guys and then he went on to his own job!

Can’t use them on the docks😖
What’s all the green crap in the water and doesn’t that wreak havoc on AC, generators etc?
Yes it’s because we had storms and it stirs up the waters.
