I've noticed that the upholstery repair places always have a lot of boats in their yards. I always cover the pee hole with a piece of tape when not using my boat. The bugs like to crawl in and block the passage. I stick a reminder note on the ignition so I don't forget to take it off before starting. Good video.
@@BoatRestorationByBen The one part i was unsure on how to do myself was the part where you pump the anitfreeze through. That part of the video is really dark and you didn't really show how you did it.
No. If you are planning long-term storage, by which I mean over a year, fogging is a good idea. If we are just talking for a few cold months, then fogging isn't necessary. I've been storing 4-stroke motorcycles and cars in unheated garages over the Chicago winter for decades without using oil.

I usually start adding the gas storage treatment to the tank when I think I’m getting near the end of the season. This way it’s already in the engine.
So does the motor not pee when you use the top water port for flushing??? 8:15
Correct.
Did you run the engine putting in the antifreeze or pump it in? Seems you pumped in through the muffs .?
I ended up pumping it through the engine flush port.

I have a 2024 50 hp mercury outboard on a sun tracker pontoon. I don't have to fog the engine for storage?

Gotta know how the sea ray is coming
I’ve been procrastinating. The boat is still in the water. I’ll make a video soon I promise!
