We will be go over the top 5 trends, I believe we will be seeing in 2025. We have seen a strong push to more conservative fashion and that has trickled down into the jewelry space. We are seeing diamond solitaires, done in more modest way, very little accent stones, the center diamonds also being set very low, as apposed to previous years, where the rings where much more ornate with very high mountings.

Pandora Lab Diamonds are SEVERAL THOUSANDS lol. I think it's because, like Natural diamonds, theres Different quality Lab Diamonds. I don't believe that a Flawless, Colorless Lab diamond will NEVER cost less than a several thousand dollars 😅
Black opal is much better 😏
Things that become more common and affordable always go out of fashion. I started following your channel 2 years ago when I researched into engagement rings and ended up buying an unheated royal blue sapphire over either lab or natural diamonds.
Expecially...🙄
Depending on season, i can do cool Summer in Summer and cool or neutral Winter in Winter. Im naturally mousey brown hair, light grey eyes and fair cool skin with pink undertones in Winter. The pink goes more reddish in Summer. Im definitely prone to dying ny hair an ashy chestnut. Im a huge fan if black, turquoise, cream, burgandy, bronze, (cannot where true white or primary colours) . I love aquamarine stone, rhodolite garnet colour and stone, emerald, smoky quartz, tiger eye, amythest, white and blue topaz stone, strangely im starting to like pearls, especially pink. Starting to like rose gold, jade and titanium (black) metals. Turquoise stone of corse. Love tourmaline. My dream is tanzanite, that blue violet is my fave colour
I love all the stones in this family. Im definitely pro small, clear and deep green. Because they are more fragile ik more inclined to small oval and protecter stones like white sapphire ot lab grown diamond
Ive still never understand the hype around diamonds, i actually personally find white sapphire or topaz prettier. Im also growing to really like a good, deep, emerald emerald. Agree ive always liked light sapphire
That's why I stick with Australian opal, but I do love all opals
Yes, it can be really disappointing if your originally white sapphire turns yellow, hopefully this helps
I love both! The more the better!💕
I have not been impressed by lab grown diamonds. I know they are just like the real thing but in my experiencing the companies that sell lab growndiamonds are not cut or set as well as natural diamonds. Just my experience
Ehhh…round stones will never be out. They are the most classic. Lab diamonds will also never be out because they are real diamonds. The market may fluctuate to address the mark up concern you shared, which is 100% valid! But I think they are here to stay. Trends come and go. Something’s are timeless. Solitaires with a plain band, 3 stone with plain band, round, emerald, and oval cuts. I would hate to get a bezel setting marquises and look back at it like a lot of people are looking at their -double halos and everything else paved engagement rings- now.
@tracib.7725 I don't think rounds are out, just that more people at larger sizes are requesting other cuts then round.
It’s funny that all you’re doing is advising people to be more aware of vendors and people just cant understand that
Great content! wish for more close up shots but very educational, thank you!
Those articles that are trying to say lab diamonds are worse than natural could be paid by Debeers and Co, how are loosing their money nowadays. So they will do anything to get their profits back and make people believe that natural mined diamonds are worth their price. 😂
@elenam848 you are speaking as someone who has no idea about this market. You do understand that debeers sold lab diamonds right? People sell lab because we have better margins, listen before you comment
It sounds to me your markups for lab diamonds are way higher than other jewelers and does not make any sense. I already have a natural one, however, I will be purchasing a lab diamond next year.
"In my opinion nicer than Amethyst"😅 awesome hot take, especially the way you stated by bringing your palm into the mouth. 😅😅 you are awesome.
lab diamonds are NOT out
Obviously she says that cause she makes more if she sells you a natural diamond. That being said my engagement ring is a 2ct natural diamond. I do cherish it of course. However I got married before the lab grown diamond era and if I had to get married now I would most definitely get a lab grown
I think that Lab Diamond engagement rings are not going anywhere in fact I think that they are going to eventually replace the demand for mined diamonds. These lab diamonds will not plunge to $150 a carat because there is a cost to growing and cutting that will not go below a certain range. Ethics aside, lab diamonds allow your average consumer to buy a 2 carat diamond that would otherwise be beyond their reach and more and more the younger generation is not interested in spending $20K+ when they get engaged. They want that money to go to a down payment on a house, or perhaps spend more on the wedding. Resale is not as much of an issue, especially when you consider how much a mined diamond loses it's value. Only the very rare and large diamonds can hold or appreciate in value. In the end, just like cultured pearls, lab diamonds are here to stay.
They are already at 150$ a stone....that's what I can buy them at
@@DominiqueFlux Are you buying them wholesale? What quality and size stone are you buying at that price?
Lab diamonds have pushed the trend towards bigger diamonds so now everyone wants big natural diamonds. If smaller diamonds don’t come back in trend I don’t think labs will go out of style for engagement rings because who is gonna buy .5 carat diamond when they could get a 2 carat round for the same price? Wealthy people will always spend more no problem but that’s because they can get a natural stone that is big
Several times you referenced the "negatives" of lab grown diamonds but I didn't didn't hear you list any besides the possible decline of value. I personally don't know anyone who bought an engagement ring as a financial investment. I thought it was supposed to be about love? When we got engaged, I didn't want my husband to have to take out a loan to spend $8k on a ring with a big stone. I still wouldn't want him to spend that on a ring even though we have a lot more money now than we did 16 years ago, because I don't see the value in it. But if we decide to upgrade my ring to a 1.8 ct lab diamond and that stone would cost an average of $1,085 vs $10,200 for natural for the exact same specs. I went to a local jeweler's website diamond listings and searched with the exact same specs, only difference being lab or natural. Literally 1/10th the price. I checked several other sizes /specs and that seems to be the going rate. The spending of the money isn't the issue for us. We just spent more than thay natural diamond on a brand new snowmobile for me. If I am just looking for a sparkly and pretty bigger rock to put on my finger, do you think I really care about the possible reduction in resale value when the price I paid was 90% less?? Not a chance. It's not like I'm going to go around telling people what we paid for the stone either way because that would be wierd. Some people just want a bigger stone that looks the exact same for waaayyy less and won't value their relationship any less just because he didn't spend $6k on the ring. I am willing to bet I'm not alone in that thought process. For those reasons, I think lab grown diamonds have a very strong market future.
I'm happy to hear you think natural diamonds will be back. I'm a huge fan of natural stones. These young brides wearing 3+ carat lab diamonds look ridiculous and they come across as fake.
I do feel the same. For me an engagement ring is something to aspire to and work towards. These really inexpensive diamonds don't feel like an achievement to me.
My only lab diamond is my oris aquis watch… I was mesmerised by it… and bought it… didn’t ask if diamonds are natural… when i saw the diamond certificate its lab… Well the watch is really pretty and sparkles like fire…
Interesting, I don't know the brand but I will check them out :)
Lab diamonds is really a no no for me… It feels like wearing fake stones… Made by nature diamonds still the best for me…
Same
Why there is a German subtitle if nobodys talking German or even giving a German subtitle???
Oh I'm not sure why they are there, maybe it's a glitch from RUclips
You forgot about tanzanite?!
We have a video in my channel if you want to learn more about Tanzanite
There is a great documentary by the name "NOTHING LAST FOREVER". One of the contributors speaks about lab grown diamonds and how they have been around for many years but kept quiet by De Beers. What makes anyone think lab grown diamonds were not passed off as "mined diamonds" long ago.
Good that someone understands the stone's "colour" changes in hue from the Southern and Northern Hemisohere.
has anyone ever try to resell their mined diamond after a divorce? you're lucky if you're offered 20% of what you paid for originally. Don't buy the BS on "good resale value". It's a lie. Do your bank account a favour and buy dividend paying stocks than paying U$4k per carat for a mined diamond. Go for lab diamonds. It's the same composite.
There’s nothing negative to say about lab diamonds. People prepared to pay significantly money for exactly the same thing made in the earth is just weird. If it’s a case of “I only want an expensive stone to prove you love me” is nuts ….
That's fine, you buy what your comfortable with
You seem to be presuming that people only buy diamonds for engagement rings.
@@Wagyubaby not just that. Mined carbon crystals (diamond) can destroy the environment. Has everyone seen the strip mines they often cause? Doesn’t make sense to me for the end product being 100% the same as mined. You can only tell the difference by the layers of carbon crystals within the stone with special machines to differentiate them.
@@Alicia-ij6gt you are on a video talking about engagement rings...
I've check out the Pandora lab diamond jewelry I think it's overpriced and the styles are definitely Pandora so everyone knows where you got it...nothing special . I do however like sepia color gemstones it has a nice old-fashioned classic style. Some brightly colored stones look cheap and fake (when they're not) like pink and yellow. Overall color perfection is green in my opinion.🍏
I do love a green stone!
WHO CARES about mined diamond trade-in "value," when you can upgrade with a bigger lab and KEEP BOTH for less $? You could have a collection to pass on for generations.
More diamonds!
Congo is not a dangerous country but is the system of west countries
So the only con of a lab diamond is that it isn’t exorbitantly priced? I don’t see that as a negative. If I could get a 1 carat diamond for $150 I think that would be awesome. I don’t see engagement ring shoppers preferring to spend $5000 for a natural diamond that is chemically and visually identical.
Every client buys differently and values different things. None of my clients would spend under 5k for a ring, so it really depends on what's important to you. But if you are looking for something cheap, do check out Pandora as they have the best and most realistic prices for lab and do offer solid gold now.
II do agree that for an engagement ring you want to spend as much you can. My husband spent $15k for a 2 carat diamond 10 years ago. If he were to spend that much on a lab Diamond today I would love to get a 6 carat diamond! The market is changing and I don’t think people will ever go back. The trend toward labs will only grow in my opinion. Despite Debeers and Signet spending millions on a new ad campaign to dissuade young people from buying lab.
It’s the same thing with synthetic sapphires and rubies. They’ve been around for more than a century. But while they make great, high quality fashion jewellery, they’re worth less than $5/carat.
@@sofiabacani8760 lab diamonds will not be more expensive per carat as the size of the stone increases. It will be a linear rather than exponential price increase. Your six carat lab diamond will be very very cheap in the future. By all means get it, but keep your engagement ring.
@@Alicia-ij6gt Who says they are under $5 a carat? Show me links as I would love to buy lab corundum that cheap!
Lab diamonds will never be on the way out. They are 100% real diamonds- simply put they are Carbon Crystals. Just like mined diamonds- also carbon crystals. People looking for investments should be buying stocks and other commodities and things that can increase in value over time. Diamonds are Extremely Common. End of story
Diamond isn’t rare, but natural gem quality diamond of a decent size is rare. As for lab diamonds, they will likely end up being like synthetic sapphires and synthetic rubies used primarily for high quality costume jewellery. Synthetic sapphires have been available for over a century. They have their place, but they have not supplanted natural stones. They only cost about $5/carat, after all.
@bill648 Totally agree with you. Also, with diamonds created in the lab there will be more abundance of them and now we can really focus on the design and craft of the ring. Diamonds (lab or natural), the whole point is that it lasts for ever and are very durable for jewelry that it can be passed down from generations. I hated how natural diamonds are so focused on cutting the stones to keep more of the diamond and create sparkle for profit than actually focusing on cutting the diamond to fit a design or style of a ring. So maybe now people can actually focus on the art and design of jewelry making rather than be limited on how big the diamond should be.
De Beers wishes lab grown diamonds were on the way out. Diamonds are a scam.
If you're referring to classic dressing, it's been around forever, hence why it's classic and it hasn't just shown up or arrived. It doesn't follow ' trends' , old money normally means a passed down jewelery or ring kept in the family as an heirloom, think Grandmas pearls or the inherited diamonds. Bezels as a setting are also not new, yes we have been seeing more of them, but they are the oldest setting for jewels. The trend has been switching from thin flimsy and pave bands or halos ( thank God as they are not meant for the daily wear and usually lose stones as well as are uncomfortable to wear). Yellow gold was big in the 80s, it's making a comeback huge, as well as the chunky thicker bands. Emerald and asscher cuts are classic, but also possibly due to fact that with lab diamond coming more into forefront and giving people choices ( due to lab vs natural) Given a step cut needs to be at least a vs1, and usually larger for you to truly appreciate the faceting because it is subtle and is not as in your face as a brilliant stone, same with Asschers, the stone is so deep and holds much of its weight underneath, this asscher and emerald cut have usually been only purchased and enjoyed in larger sizes for decades only by monied people who are able to afford the price tag that comes with higher quality stone. The introduction of lab diamond these last few years levels the purchase field for those who always dreamed of a step cut or even a larger stone without sacrificing size, color or clarity. I doubt labs are going out of style. If anything I sense that people will continue to enjoy and purchase them. Husband and I were looking at upgrading my ring for our tenth anniversary. A local jeweler had a 3 CT natural stone, emerald cut, had visible flaws vS2 , was G color, VG cut and symmetry and they wanted 100K. They were willing to sell it for 80k if we bought it right then. Another jeweler stated they sell so much more of lab diamond than natural. They also had some amazing colored stones. The jeweler was making a special ring for his anniversary for his wife as a surprise. The stone he picked was gorgeous and it was lab. I think labs open up choice for the consumer whereas decades before the options were limited more for financial reasons. There is a reason why Debeers decided to open up their lightbox line and offer different, larger sized stones as well as colored stones and different shapes, because they realized that even with their monopoly on natural stones, the consumer was driving the bus, and they were going to lose if they didn't get into lab stones as well.
Very good explanation, i hope people will really understand and appreciate what you are trying to explain
@rickyrickman5458 thank you! I hope so too :)
Are people buying lab diamonds for its resell value? Easier to lose "100% of a 2k" lab ring than loosing "50% of a 20k" real diamond ring. No?
@zot2698 Compare apples and apples. You would lose 95% of a 20k lab diamond and 40% of a natural at the same price. What would you choose? That's not taking into consideration that if you hold your diamond for even 5 years, you could sell it for more. There has been a temporary lull in natural diamond because of lab, but it will bounce back. Natural diamonds, year to year, are always increasing in price.
I agree ppl who are purchasing are most likely doing it to save money and want a bigger stone , also being in this space for years , diamonds don’t hold value unless you have a giant stone or a colored diamond so resale value doesn’t really apply to those with smaller stones.
Have you ever tried to sell a natural diamond? I have and have done it many times. The Truth is you will never sell a natural diamond for its retail value anywhere unless it belonged to someone famous or it’s a rare color diamond. All other diamonds…its just like buying an expensive car…as soon as you drive it off the lot it’s lost 40% or more of its value.
@TJ-gm2uy ok but you do understand that no matter what you will loose the jewelers markup, the actual percent of the diamond lost is very little. Especially if you have the diamond properly appraised and sold to a diamond dealer and not back to a jeweler...
The author has a fascinating investment strategy. I always thought diamonds were about love and sentiment, not resale value. But hey, if someone is already planning to sell the 'token of forever' in five years, maybe they should reconsider what they're really buying-and why. If you’re buying a diamond, it should be because it feels right to you and carries emotional value-not because someone told you it’s a good 'investment.'
Love a bezel set ring
@@jamieburak1126 yesss 😎
Finally someone else had that same idea, the band seemed a bit too wide because of the diamonds but I think he chose it to possibly “show off”
@jixxvimmii Maybe, I haven't seen other videos but I got the same impression as you
Nice :D
Thanks! 😄
Referencing the ascendence of authoritarian leadership as a fashion trend is extremely distasteful
Go sit in your safe space and drink your juice from your sippy cup honey.
Agreed
I think the stones will find their natural level price level. What I have seen is that synthetic sapphires have existed for over a century and they have found their price level, which is very cheap ($5/carat). People use them in jewellery now but generally just use them in high quality costume jewellery. Which is perfectly okay.
@@Alicia-ij6gt please show me where I can find lab corundum for $5 a carat as that’s a crazy deal!
$ 4800
I got a ring at a sliver and it said it was amethyst real gemstone but swore It was too light purple ish blue and then. I look at model number and then it said it was Tanzinte cluster ring. By the way it a stauer ring size 7 I got it for 35 dollars.
Very cool find!
I love the simplicity of gold and love your channel! I thought chlorine, especially in combination with heat such as in a hot tub can do a number on gold and cause micro pitting that can be tough to repair.
That looks amazing. Very cool process.
Thank you 😊 so happy with how it turned out

I’m interested in sapphires but I don’t have much knowledge about them so this video was extremely helpful. Will you consider doing a video explaining the price for lab grown gemstones?
No, we don't deal in lab as they hold no value
