I own 3 Zircons. One a beautiful clear sea foam blue from Cambodia, another is a honey red tear drop which I adore, the jeweller who set it into a ring for me, wanted to buy it the first moment he saw it, he was reluctant to give it up, told me he loved working on it. I also have a totally clear one. All beautiful stones in their own right. Very underrated, truly, I wish CZ’s had been given another name, do not confuse the two.
Zircon is absolutely gorgeous and it's also the oldest dated mineral on Earth! And yes, people notoriously confuse it with cubic zirconia. It doesn't help, that in some languages (like my native Polish), there is no "cubic" component in the cubic zirconia name. In Polish it's just cyrkon vs cyrkonia, so obviously people will mix them up.
Sorry, off topic, but I've watched a video on your channel related to gold plating. In my case 1984 Cartier Vermeil Tank, that Cartier refuses to replate despite the oxidization. Any suggestions?
one of my favorites!! thanks for the video. great selection. i have noticed the pink brown ones are highly dispersive. and there is a new source of blue zircon from malawi that does not grow super deep so it faces up bigger than the same carat size of the cambodian material.
I learned something new today I just thought that Zircons were all CZ. Whats the Hardness of them? I would name them (color) Star Myst I still prefer my Black Opals. : P

Oh no way, all the way from Polland, very cool. Yes the names are too similar it's very confusing
Yeah! I love seeing educational videos on zircon! The most underrated and misunderstood gem.

those light brown with the light peach ones would make a nice combination in a ring. Also the wine color and gold ones.
Yes I love those ones thw most, I haven't really seen those colors in other stones

Zircon is 6.5 to 7.5 on the Mohs scale. And I've heard some reports (impossible to verify), that in practice it is a really durable stone.
Love you America ❤️
I really like circon I'thnink that it's not inough appreciated stone and this stone has a market's future
It definitely deserves more appreciation, especially for how much fire it has!
Dear, kindly talk about topazes in a video. 🎀
