Making this custom Aquamarine floral bridal necklace!

This floral aquamarine pendant was one of the most complex pieces I've ever made! Follow along as I break down the steps of how we made it.

The necklace is composed of over 4.5cts of natural aquamarine and set in solid silver. We created this design from sketches the client originally sent us and went from there!
The first steps was to re-create the real life pendant and florals in play-doh. This allowed us to calculate an approximate measures to use for the 3D design.
Normally when working in gold, soldering is much easier, as you only need to heat the points of connection unlike silver where heating the entire piece is required in order to solder them together. This was not possible because in order the heat the whole piece, the prongs would have collapsed under the heat. This is why we had to rivet the flower to the post, hammer it and finish it off by laser for extra reinforcement.

I'm not sure why this video was in my recommendations, but I"m glad I gave it a chance because I really enjoyed it. The way you explained the process and the problems that came up was very interesting. I just wish you could've shown the process of making it a bit more..
