Brian, thanks for the review. I had a chat with your shop manager, and we agreed. You will actually get better results and cut with a few little changes to your technique. For best results start with a pad fresh from the pad washer, second only use one spray of polish on the pad( use a decisive string pull on the trigger). Finally for the best cut, as you mentioned, use a 21mm da, speed 3, and little to no pressure.
@@J1Z06They mention and show in their vídeos that you can even use a cheap sander and you will get decent improvements. Surely it won't cut as much as a proper 21mm DA, but if an 8mm is what you have, just go for it. I hoped it helped.
Brian, I’m glad to have found your videos on the DYI Detail products. I enjoy their videos and of course they get results but it’s nice to see your unbiased opinion giving their products high marks. I would love to see you showcase and test more of their product line.
Bri, just a follow up on your B1 and B3. This stuff is everything you claim. I put the B3 on a non coated but heavy coated seal and shine paint. The shine and slickness is amazing. Going to use it tomorrow on my DD that I treated with B1. Also the dilution ratio on the Apex wash is phenomenal. I put 1 ounce in 5 gallons of water. I still had suds in the bucket 2 to 3 hours later.
I like my LC CCS foam or Urofiber 50/50 pads! I'm not a business so wool or heavy cutting pads lately have gotten pretty expensive for my small fixed budget! However, I was looking at the DIY Detail products!
B would you mind doing a test?, i use the rupes blue and yellow da wools, with a rotary (have you tried yet). could you use them(both rupes pad) with the rotary and then da , then do the same with this diy detail pad and see how they compare.
Hi Brian. Need some advice. I have a 21 Mazda CX-5, and i am assuming it has pretty soft paint. I've already had to have some warranty paint work done. My question is, I have some pretty deep water spots, and the yellow waffle pad did not do the job. Would you recommend this wool pad or go for the euro fiber fifty fifty pad for the softer paint.
It looks like a good wool pad to me! 👍, looks a bit like sonax hybrid wool pads?. A wool pad that impressed me at the moment and the SPTA. There is a kit of three pads, purple extreme cut, beige medium cut, orange cut & finish, and the latter orange/gold is excellent. Cuts and finishes very well like rupes yellow wool pads, but of course much cheaper! . In your opinion Brian, how to recognize a wool pad with nanofoam or polyfoam technology like the lake country foamed wool pad?. The SPTA purple, beige, orange wool pads I have the impression that it is hybrid but not sure?!. Thanks in advance
Brian would you say its quite aggressive I'm surprised this compound done the job with p600 grit, personally I have no compound in my range that will do 600 grit, I use sonax alot from your videos plus I ordered some angelwax perfect polish to try @@apexdetail85
I am a little baffled by a product that can cut that good and finish well. Of course all corrections are pad dependant. Can the Gold Standard Polish finish down on soft paint with the best finishing polishes available? That would truly be amazing.
It can, we designed The Gold Standard Polishing System to be a true cutting polish, that’s very pad dependent. We have one more pad on the way, a ultra fine rotary jeweling pad.
What do you prefer for the cutting process....Microfiber, Foam, or Wool?
Microfiber if possible, other than that, Rupes coarse wool pad or foam if the cutting is light.
I prefer wool to cut. I love the lake country purple and blue hybrid.
Wool if it's gel coat. microfiber for paint.
Wool, MF creates too much heat
I like to use the Rupes coarse blue wool pads for heavy correction.

It’s nice to see a company commenting to support a content creator, not many take the time.
Would an 8mm throw be alright? I have a Flex 3401.

Yup, Thanks!
@@rjanuari1978 Thank You! I should have put two and two together on the sander/8mm throw reference. Brain fart, lol!
I wonder how it would have performed if you used only 1 misted spray as Yvan advertises in their videos

That gold standard polish is no joke!!
The entire DIY system has been a game changer for my business. Saves precious time and brings fantastic results! 👍
Thank you.
Been curious about this for a while now. Seen pictures in their fb group, and I wasn't believing what I was seeing. I have to try it now
DIYDETAIL products are top notch man, got my ceramic coating from them coming in soon… can’t wait to try it!
I had already liked this stuff but wasn't sure of it's limitations, let's just say your video crushed my expectations, this stuff is serious!!
I’m impressed with the cut and the finish of the polish and the pad. I’m going to order this pad if it is in stock. Thank you for the video.
Looks like a must-have... thanks Brian.

I remember when you were a mobile detailer lol. Back in your element Brian.
The Shop Manager was like "It's only Tuesday, get to work Pal" !!
😂👍
Dannngggg, and that’s only with the Gold Standard POLISH!!!
gold standard is no joke if you team it up with this pad. still zero dusting and awesome finish. it's the one of the best polish
Pretty impressive results right there!

600 grit is quite the test. I’ve adopted the Yvan method of cutting with a DA and finishing with a rotary, never going back.
Nice! I have huge respect for Yvan.
Awesome video and product review good friend
Awesome vid!! I actually was gonna order some wool pads this week..I'm gonna have to check them out👍🏻🤓
Brian amazing video
Ive gota say...wow!
I’ve never used a wool pad and only have used foam. Haven’t polished that much though.
Super impressive. And you guys already have that Mustang looking fantastic 🍻🍻🍻
Thanks Brian this was a great video ! I will be ordering these a.s.a.p.
Great review!
Would you mind taking a look at turtle waxs minute wax? I saw pans video but would be nice if someone went more in depth
Will do.
Excellent video Brian 👊🏼
Both pad and polish look like winners
Funny 2 cu doing trailer. Haven't seen u do boats,rv,campers since u started ur channel .lol
Right
This belongs to a senior customer of mine that lost mobility to get areas up high. I volunteered to do it for free.
Hi! Question. Why should I go for a short nap wool pad? And when should I not go for a short nap and opt for high nap
Instead
Short nap for a DA, long nap for rotary
Hi Brian, thanks for this video.
I could watch your videos all day.
What do you prefer? This combo or 3D One and 50/50 pad?
Very informative!
Hope the new rupes microfiber & waffle pads in ur reviews list!
Absolutely.

Brian. One thing I forgot to ask when I placed my order. Does BC3 come with a spray nozzle?
It does. 👍
Jw, why dont you spray the poslish like the DIY team shows on their videos
Brian. Have you or would you consider doing a review on Ewocar? Polish/Compound
Link?
Winner nice
How's this compare to a uro-fiber?
Hi Brian, do you feel the need to polish afterwards or can it be used as a one step ?
depend on your pad choice but it is a solid one step polish
You don't have too tape off moldings with the gold standard.

It's their take on the Optimum Hyper Wool Pad, which I believe Yvan came up with.
I’m convinced that Tesla uses Ford’s paint colors!
How much clear is this taking off out of interest?
Just a few microns.

@@orthodox1717 the gold waffle pad finishes perfectly on my DA.
@orthodox1717 I believe you can use their ultra fine with a DA. It won't just finish as nicely as if you used a rotary.
Bro you literally have 3 times the product you need and it's a spray onto wet pad. Disappointing considering you say to read and follow directions.
Hey take it ec (Scarface voice)
I love microfibre
You will like this wool pad even better.
