Some people complain about those magazines, but Savage has been making them like that for almost 100 years!!! I've never had any issues with them, but do feel like the older ones were made better than the newer ones you get today.
Just have to love that thin tiny rear sight. They're not made for aging eyes. She's accurate & purtier than my A22 polymer sporter & I'm betting that one isn't from Canada. Keep that snow plow handy for Friday & Saturday. 🙏👍🎯
@FukuYTmark6 If that storm hits Friday & Saturday you can still break Pinky out for short range fun. Saying now we may get 4in plus so we're expecting around a foot 😂☃️❄️.
I'm a big fan of wooden stocks and steel guns .. they just have so much more class and character than polymer stocks and I always wonder how long the plastic will last before it dries out and becomes brittle .. I get a kick out of buying a gun that I know is still going to be around and functioning in 100 years like the pistol in my avatar (a .32-30 Colt made in 1915) .. thanks for sharing
I don't think I saw you shoot this one before. Funny you made this because I've been thinking about one recently that has a mossberg peep and front sight on it. I really like the look of them for some reason.
Nice to see Savage has saved on engineering and development costs of the present day MKII by using a mag designed in the 1920’s 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 Does the MK2 mag fit?

@billdye3530 I guess I'm gonna have to venture out from my cave. I gotta run down and pickup bonds and certificates from the insurance company.

@Boomstick. Good video and nice open sight shooting.
Cool little plinker
Thanks Jeff
When I was younger I used open sights a ton. Not so much anymore haha.
You and me both lol
You can hear the steel very well this time.
Its a shooter for sure.
Reminds me that I need to work on my Savage 30-30 bolt gun!
Was that the Savage 340?

Does the MK2 mag fit?
That's a good question. I'll have to check one of these days.
Good afternoon Boom
Afternoon Chris

Afternoon CW
That's a Savage Model 23AA. They can be quite accurate.
Yes they can
I like the old hardware much better.
Me too.
Do the mags from the MK2 work in it? They look similar. 🤔
Unfortunately not, it is only compatible with the savage 19 nra rifle.

That's too bad!
