So many people got salty on this ptb it's not even funny. Claiming that "The ptb is supposed to be fun an chill stop sweating" whenever someone tries to test out changes.
Not even just "technically," he's doing what the *spirit* of the PTB is about. He's showing how a proposed fix to a known issue still has problems, which is exactly what a PTB is for.

that's exactly what i thought watching this! if i ran into a pinhead like this, i wouldn't complain - i'd have a banger time trying to catch him off guard to yoink the box haha😂 it breaks up the usual gameflow and makes games memorable to me.

Now I give it a thought about it in the game there are three spots that survivors can't access if you are blocking it, the stairs where you go up on a small platform and you can only vault that drops you down, inside the surveillance room that has a window with two strong loops and a hole that leads to the bathroom with a gen in it (the basement spawns there) and near the exitgates there is a small path with a vault in it. Also I think you can do this in the Haddonfiel and Garden of joy main building there are rooms that can only be entered one way
Add in merciless storm instead of insidious just to slow down the game just by weeee bit. If they are constantly screaming or getting chained will mostly likely cause it to activate and miss the skill check being blocked for 20 seconds.
@@a4b20xc6 I thought that too and it would slightly slow it down, but players tends to spend run totems faster if ruin is in play. Either is an option but with totem perks the more on play the more chances it spawns in front of a Gen or survivor before you can pull off this evil plan
Pretty sure you need insidious because they only scream when outside of the terror radius, without it they could just get close to you and heal, breaking the build

This build is so much fun on rpd. The box is easy to find. Just switch the iridescent add on to the one where survivors can’t see the aura of the box until the chain hunt is active
In light of a broken killer, we have made it so it teleports when in 16 meters for 10 seconds or when in line of sight. ...also surprise 100% increase in windup time for huntress
Better idea: 1. Replace Thril with Franklins 2. Play Midwich 3. Use double Gateway Casting distance add-ons 4. Allow a survivor to pick up the cube 5. Scare them into the middle of the courtyard 6. Hit so now the box is by the middle 7. Sit around it, so if anyone tries to pick it up you franklin it down 8. Use the huge Gateway Casting distance to stop anyone trying to cleanse the Hex
I think they made that change due to the pinheads that would get into a snowman suit and stand directly on top of the box the whole game (making it so the survivors can't pick it up and making the game last a year)
This build is beatable but all survivors must work in sync. While pinhead camps the box, you find the hex, one cleaners while the other 3 body block so the chains can't hit the survivor. Then you have one survivor work on gen while the other 3 body block the chains from hitting him. Theyframedme (RUclipsr) was the 1st to develope this counter plan to beat this build. And has had pinhead killers DC from it lol. So shout out to theyframedme.
Faced this build today with my friends. We’ve been doing Dowsey’s hardcore so we were essentially with bad perks and no items, yet still this was something evil. But it’s evil in a bad, totally unfun way. The guy did ONE hit, then went to the box and stood on it so that we couldn’t grab it, and we had to deal with that and the hexes. Being a 4-man, we at some point found a way to heal the teammate and power through several gens in the most stupidly unfun way possible, which point pinhead became more active… to just camp the box again. At the end we did a +2 with a decent chance at +3, failed in coordination. But this is the most unfun thing in the game since AFK pig.
Honestly, Hex face the darkness, Hex thrill of the hunt, Hex pentimento, Hex undying, with the Iri tape and the purple extra trap add on pig is pure torture on RPD. The play-style is weird but so much fun.

Insidious is such a pointless perk for this. I'm pretty sure the best way to implement this build is to drop Insidious for Ruin, so that every time a chain interrupts them, they have to watch the gen regress while they snap the chains. Obviously Face the Darkness and Thrill of the Hunt will make it impossible to cleanse totems, so that's that.
Next patchnote: Due to resurfacing messages of undesired tampering between PunHead's power and Hex: Darkness revealed, we've decided to ban Coconut RTS.
In order to be sus like the Feng. When you get picked up as a survivor just mash the skill check button(space bar/Left bumper) and your survivor will moan in the killers ear!
it appears this recent update that cenobite has been deleted from the game and is being replaced with pin head from billy and mandy. no longer dose he use change he throws pin once in the range of his box his power becomes decatived ,and box disappears
i can "forseen... now!" behaveior will change either the add on or the perk or maybe even the base kit of the box even more to stop this happening, or simply make the box cant spawn into a solo door way room to speed things up.
If the devs want to fix this, just make Pinhead automatically pick up the box after a couple seconds when standing on it rather than it teleporting. Problem Solved.
Exactly,by being mostly a killer main and knowing how this power works that's how I managed to counter the tactic when playing solo and it happened that a pinhead was doing this. Whoever went on the forums complaining about this needs to play more killer. Ironically,now it's even worse because the box teleports,can't say if it was a troll move by the developers or an unintended feature 🤣. The way you beat this is just run Counterforce and have the other 3 survivors crowd around you blocking chains. Just make sure the totem cleanser begins cleansing after they scream. Can be done with one other survivor as long as they can block chains.
Actaully as long as thrill of the hunt and ftd stands they physically cannot cleanse totems They scream every 25 seconds and it takes 28 to clense with full thrill
Instead of insidious, why not run huntress’s lullaby or Thanatophobia? I think that since you body block with him and don’t need to really hide, you can slow healing and gens down more with one of those. No need to go undetectable is there?
The only way this build would be stopped is if hex face the darkness no longer interrupts totem cleansing. Otherwise I see no way to actually stop this build from being an absolute menace to society.

They simply need to get hit, get the box (cause they have no hitbox when hit) and even if they go down, the chain hunt simply resets.. The one who is hurt by you and activates the face the darkness hex is immune from screams, so he is the one who has to cleanse the totem. Simple as that

You could also use franklins as that just drops the box instead of automatically making pinhead pick it up.
Franklins would make the build less effective as the only perk you could swap it for would be Insidious.
But it will also reset the chain hunt so it’s kinda counter effective

U can add Hex ruin and guard the hex with the ability plus adding the addon that make them in deep wound if the chains hit them in injured state
That add-on only works with the chains you personally summon. Chain hunts don't work with it

I did this, i held the box for 5 gens, plus merciless storm, ruin, corrupt intervention and face the darkness
this is how you know they are in over their own head in designing this game at this point.
