That's how they do it i was playing huntress while this exploit was happening all the time and they always went in there when they were about to close had nothing to do with camping or tunneling, however survivors think they are so good so they try to go between the lockers like they did in this video and i just loaded a hatchet needle threaded between and got them gone so many times hahaha!
It’s a getaway excuse. These are the type of survivors who never touched killers once in their lives and yet they talk about game balance. There opinion matters very little because their whole life they only seen one perspective of the game. Using a exploit to gain an advantage or waste time is worst then face camping, slugging and any of that. Because at the end of the day you get match up with new killers even if you get tunnel to death whereas exploit like this you just waste everybody’s time, when you can literally move on to the next match. The things I never get about the complaint from survivors is that there whole idea is that “we can do it but you can’t”. Survivors can bully new killers to a point where they just become a survivor main but when they face good killers oh now game balancing gets talked about but not for the overall game just for survivors.

Doesn't really matter what the devs say when they made the meta to be most efficient about tunneling one player out of the match asap. They can say whatever they want, but if they don't act on it, their words are meaningless.
@@user-pe6ct7ut8t I'll say it again, buff DS's stun timer back up to 5 seconds and if the devs want it to possibly be shorter, allow Enduring to work on it again (lowering it to the current 3 seconds). The anti-tunneling perks need to be strong at punishing the killer to make them think twice if tunneling is the best play right now. Until they do, it can always generate significant snowball as having one less player to keep track of is always a great option if its available. Note: The current base kit changes are all good and dandy, but BT is no longer really a good perk to prevent tunneling since now everyone has it. Killers know to either immediately eat the BT effect (rendering the perk useless) or they prefer to not tunnel in general. As they keep looking and hopefully shrinking the large maps, anti-tunneling mechanics will need to be stronger IMO as one of the largest issues for most killers (map traversal) will be less of a barrier to finding chases or other survivors quickly.
@@ynglink You already mentioned the snowball for Killer, and this is exactly what the balancing has to be about. A Killer has almost an impossible task trying to gain time vs 4 Survivors as in pretty much any scenario, you'll always have 1 survivor progressing the game forward. With 3 players however, there has to be a balance of survival and progress which gains the Killer significantly more time which is by coincidence, the only thing a Killer needs in order to perform. Also I believe one of the biggest problems here in terms of balancing is the obvious difference between soloQ and SwF which to be fair, is just hard to balance as giving soloQ hefty buffs will most likely also impact SwF, which is already stronger than Killer.

I play a lot of both sides and DS while super annoying, was at least a deterrent for tunneling. I do want it to be deactivated in End Game still no matter what though. Having 0-option to get a hook on someone at end game is not healthy either. The overall issue with balancing is that the game inherently isn't ever going to be balanced because of the ebb and flow of the game. 4-v-1's just really can't be perfectly balanced. So we should look at how unhealthy things are rather than if it's balanced, especially when looking at what the core gameplay issues are. They don't have anything to do with balancing things and are more akin to player behavior. Camping, Tunneling, Bullying, GenRushing, etc. I'd rather have a fun healthy game than a trying to balance a mess of a game like DBD. Address outlier perks, heavily shake the meta up at least twice a year, and focus on the core issues instead.
The MMR system apparently rewards 0-1 kill as a "loss" (MMR down), 2 kills as a "draw" (MMR stays the same), and 3-4 kills as a "win" (boosts your MMR). Until we get a more clear win condition, seems like a 3 or 4k is a "win" to me XD
It’s because solo Q survivors see the game as 1v1. They want to get max blood points and escape regularly. Meanwhile, the killer is managing 4 separate 1v1s and will feel like they lost the game even if they got 8 hooks but no kills.

I dont see how any1 camps and tunnels with a built in borrow time. Camping is usually only viable when every survivor is in the hook area and end game. Tunneling waste time with 2 hits + chase & letting 3 others fly through gens. I don't see hardly any benefit unless the survivors don't finish gens... kinda like these no life exploiting losers. The moment they said the game's killer sided I immediately thought oh god it's one of these idiots. these people can't understand that there are a lot of factors that play into each team having an advantage. Such as maps builds the killer the survivors. I've seen teams absolutely bully killers cause luck was on their side and they got the map they wanted and it worked extremely well with their build. I've seen killers absolutely destroy SWFs with their zero healing wesker build cause luck was on their side and they got a small map. I'm not agreeing with these two at all, but the sad thing is that survivors don't win the game if they get killed. Because despite being a team-based role, the game's scoring system only cares about your individual performance. If one survivor gets tunneled out but the other 3 escape, then the game has two losers: the killer and the survivor who died. It doesn't matter if that one survivor bought enough time for the 3-man out, the game still thinks they lose in terms of their pips and their blood points. Honestly, this exploit was worse than a Skull Merchant 3 genning for 60 minutes. This Dredge didn't deserve to go through this, especially with how the survivors argumented against him, trying to defend abusing bugs in the game to hold the killer hostage for an hour and yet he still prevailed. What an absolute trooper.
The skull merchant 3gen you could at least END it by suiciding / giving up / forcing the killer to kill you or maybe even win if team is good enough. Is it boring? sure, but at least you PLAY the game. Skull merchant cant keep you hostage. Sure you will lose but you CAN get out without DCing. This exploit they can literally just go a 2 man team and AFK in 2 lockers and that's it. Killer has to sit there for an hour.
Of course it's worse. As much as SM defending a 3 gen forever sucked, it wasn't an exploit. The survivors were knowingly taking advantage of a bug to hold the game hostage. That's very different from a stubborn boring killer playing the poorly designed SM.

Here's the thing, these clowns count anything that's not a full 4 man escape as a survivor loss and killer win. That's right, you can spend all game getting tea bagged, led into head on/Flash bangs, 4 man flash light Background Player groups that bang out gets and because one gets over confident tea bagging in the exit gate and gets killed as everyone else escapes, they'd say you won as the killer.
I was laughing when I got survivors doing this exploit while I was doing TS Myers for fun. After I got one with a Mori, suddenly they were going into the lockers properly...
What's really sad is the Mikaela complains about tunneling, camping, and slugging when there are perks designed to counter that. - Unbreakable counters slugging. - Off The Record, Decisive Strike counters tunneling. - Reassurance, Deliverance, and BASEKIT BT counters camping. Yet they run none of that despite apparently "every Killer doin' it", so who's really the one that can't learn from their own mistakes here?
The problem is you have to have the skill to utilize those abilities which clearly they have none you saw how fast the first guy went down When he came out of that locker.
I think having perks to help alleviate camping, tunneling, etc is fine but there’s a limit. It’s why they’re introducing the anti-camp mechanic. I think there needs to be more in place to reduce or highly discourage these unfun and unfair playstyles. Perks would have to help adjusted accordingly, but, it’s clearly necessary.

Unbreakable is the only one on that list that reliably does its job. OTR can be stripped off by a camping killer and DS, while still better than nothing, doesn't help that much unless you go down near resources. Camping, on the other hand, has no real satisfying counter. Hopefully the upcoming patch will fix that. But at the moment: -Reassurance is a cold comfort to the survivor who is on the hook and who is going to be left to wait, a lot of survivors find Reassurance annoying since they'd rather just go next and let themselves die if being camped. And if you're the one being camped, it doesn't help unless someone else brought it. -Deliverance doesn't help if you get hooked before you can unhook anyone. -Basekit BT realistically only keeps the survivor being unhooked from being hit by the killer immediately and going down. If the killer wants to follow them, it doesn't do much.

When the exploit was found I pulled out the ol reliable Pyramid Head to clip them through. The amount of rage from the exploiters that it didn't work was beautiful
personally I've never ran into a toxic killer (that wasn't an obvious cheater but that was like once or twice over YEARS). Now survivors... I've seen survivors tear into each other in end-game for ZERO reason. Both as a survivor and killer.

That is the reason behind the 3 gen skull merchant holding games hostage for that long, because it was a technical win. This was all pointless from the start, and they gain nothing but wasting time. They should've played normally, after all they would of either been able to escape, or go into the next match already.

Nothing good for survivors... - It baits altruism still... - It's like Face camping with less steps in my occasions. Sure survivors might have someone be able to do gens dependent on where the slug is, how wide the camp is, the map itself, and gen locations. I don't fault players that use Unbreakable or No Mither because of it. I plan on trying Unbreakable, Flip Flop, Powerstruggle, and Tenacity, when I prestige 3 Tapp.

Might I point out about the flashlight bug... weskers invisibility bug was found late afternoon on a friday and was killswitched immediately. The flashlight bug with lockers was found on a friday morning and didnt get killswitched until the next monday.
They just do not use their killswitch nearly as much as they should. They have a system to immediately stop people from abusing bugs and yet refuse to use it for some reason
i get what you're saying that it feels biased, but also there's been an exploit for alien since release [well before the flashlight bug] that allows alien to completely block unhooks with her hitbox. getting hooked is a guaranteed death unless you can unhook yourself, turrets don't change the hitbox to allow unhooks and these aliens usually run lightborn. alien hasn't been killswitched a single time, and at most the devs have added that anti camping stuff to ptb, which will take a long fuckin time

sad thing is there is only a temporary ban for this from what I have read and been told by support. I have reported around 6 of them with video evidence and got the "We'll take a look at this and take additional action if it is needed, but please note that we will not be able to inform you of the outcome of this report." And on the page where it describes bans for certain actions, exploits are temporary.

Coconut I would like to say thank you! When I saw the video that you showed where you were on a cheater list were you would “waste 2 hours of your life” I was inspired. I went into that weekend not realizing this was a glitch that was going on, and I too, treated it as a battle of attrition a battle of Will and I knew I was stronger. I just finished heating up my spaghetti and sat there and was watching them do this and they got overconfident and I ended up killing one on the hook. I bled two out on the floor because they wouldn’t come out of the locker and the final one just came out of the locker themselves and gave up on their own. It was a 20 minute game, I was prepared to sit there for the entire hour to let the entity kill them. :D

Here's why I stopped playing this game. -> Subtle / blatant cheating, harassement, threats. What have you done to deserve all the above? You played killer for 2 seconds.
I stopped playing the game because of how sweaty it was and how toxic the comunity was, it's just not fun to play a game and needing to play competitive for NOTHING. you get no reward from playing like a sweat, if you don't you are going to suffer until the survivors allow the game to end, and if you do, you sweat for no reason because the prize is keeping playing the game.
I saw a Survivor doing this in a match with this Wesker. Wesker picked me up, carried me to a hook, stood there until I wiggled free, and then I helped him kill her. Then he and I went around the map, and he let me stun him over and over until we found the hatch. Funny enough, I was playing Rebecca.
BHVR could have cracked down on clowns many years ago and still don't do it harshly enough. Anyone knowingly exploiting or using 3rd party software should be permabanned alongside HWID and it really doesn't take a team of hundreds for a game such as DBD to achieve this.
When I play killer and I'm losing horribly, I still stick it out to the end and play my best. I don't punish the other 4 people playing the game because I didn't have fun. What are these people's excuses? "I'm not having fun so I'm gonna punish some random guy playing the game"

I had a solo queue match against a Xenomorph on Mother's Dwelling where a Bill used the exploit constantly. Me and the other 2 survivors, after the gates had been powered and the Xenomorph opened one, trapped the Bill in the locker in the main building until the collapse ended. It was so fun being a part of something like that

Players don't hurt each other. It's the developers. Take away the killers ability to kill? They resort to whatever tactics will get them something. Survivors can't survive? Exploits and SWFs are used to bully killers. The common theme is the developers. If killers and survivors get over-nerfed, what do you expect?
@@jimjimerson7098 There is a clear difference between inbalance and exploting/cheating on purpose. Just because the devs aren't 100% on the balancing (which is impossible for an asymmetrical game) doesn't mean either side is entitled to violate the game's ToS. The only reason people get away with it is that BHVR doesn't instantly permaban everyone that used exploits and cheats knowlingly. This is a common error with modern gaming and therefor a reason on why so many games are infested with cheats, leading to increases toxicity and distrust to development companies as a whole.

I had this exact thing happen to me while i was playing dredge too on rpd. Luckily it was only one person doing this so the game did eventually end sooner than this poor fellas game, but the way the killer approached these guys was, so inspiring almost, i wouldve lost it if i was talking to people like this, but the tenacity and mental foritude of this killer, must be recognized by more people.

Please update us on if they got banned or not. I really wanna see if BHVR actually takes reports seriously WITH VIDEO PROOF. Cause if they don't ban for THIS then there's no hope for them as a company and I can't respect them anymore. This is not OK and should be punished and shown as an example. I saw in 2 days literally 50+ matches with people doing this to streamers. Them not taking this seriously and not banning for it just means people will think its ok to exploit cause there are no consequences.
As a survivor main and killer player, the game is much more survivor sided. If your team is good you will be getting 3-4 out somewhat consistently. 5% is pure insanity.
Its gotten to the point that you cant play certain lower tiered killers unless you are best of the best at it and unless you have the meta. Playing a lesser played, weaker niche killer with a fun memey build is impossible if you wanna have fun.
a full SWF of locker exploiters was in one of my matches playing trickster. I used his blades to hit them when self caring, as a part of their body would pop out of the locker. I killed all of them but it was like 30 minutes of my time wasted.

Survivors can bully new killers to a point where they just become a survivor main but when they face good killers oh now game balancing gets talked about but not for the overall game just for survivors.
I like how quiet the Ripley got when he said they'll be losing their 600 hour account and just left their brain damaged friend to try defend themselves for being shit at the game.

@@user-pe6ct7ut8t I'll say it again, buff DS's stun timer back up to 5 seconds and if the devs want it to possibly be shorter, allow Enduring to work on it again (lowering it to the current 3 seconds).
The anti-tunneling perks need to be strong at punishing the killer to make them think twice if tunneling is the best play right now. Until they do, it can always generate significant snowball as having one less player to keep track of is always a great option if its available.
Note: The current base kit changes are all good and dandy, but BT is no longer really a good perk to prevent tunneling since now everyone has it. Killers know to either immediately eat the BT effect (rendering the perk useless) or they prefer to not tunnel in general. As they keep looking and hopefully shrinking the large maps, anti-tunneling mechanics will need to be stronger IMO as one of the largest issues for most killers (map traversal) will be less of a barrier to finding chases or other survivors quickly.
@@ynglink You already mentioned the snowball for Killer, and this is exactly what the balancing has to be about. A Killer has almost an impossible task trying to gain time vs 4 Survivors as in pretty much any scenario, you'll always have 1 survivor progressing the game forward. With 3 players however, there has to be a balance of survival and progress which gains the Killer significantly more time which is by coincidence, the only thing a Killer needs in order to perform.
Also I believe one of the biggest problems here in terms of balancing is the obvious difference between soloQ and SwF which to be fair, is just hard to balance as giving soloQ hefty buffs will most likely also impact SwF, which is already stronger than Killer.

I play a lot of both sides and DS while super annoying, was at least a deterrent for tunneling. I do want it to be deactivated in End Game still no matter what though.
Having 0-option to get a hook on someone at end game is not healthy either.
The overall issue with balancing is that the game inherently isn't ever going to be balanced because of the ebb and flow of the game. 4-v-1's just really can't be perfectly balanced. So we should look at how unhealthy things are rather than if it's balanced, especially when looking at what the core gameplay issues are.
They don't have anything to do with balancing things and are more akin to player behavior. Camping, Tunneling, Bullying, GenRushing, etc.
I'd rather have a fun healthy game than a trying to balance a mess of a game like DBD. Address outlier perks, heavily shake the meta up at least twice a year, and focus on the core issues instead.

The MMR system apparently rewards 0-1 kill as a "loss" (MMR down), 2 kills as a "draw" (MMR stays the same), and 3-4 kills as a "win" (boosts your MMR). Until we get a more clear win condition, seems like a 3 or 4k is a "win" to me XD
It’s because solo Q survivors see the game as 1v1. They want to get max blood points and escape regularly.
Meanwhile, the killer is managing 4 separate 1v1s and will feel like they lost the game even if they got 8 hooks but no kills.

I dont see how any1 camps and tunnels with a built in borrow time. Camping is usually only viable when every survivor is in the hook area and end game. The moment they said the game's killer sided I immediately thought oh god it's one of these idiots. these people can't understand that there are a lot of factors that play into each team having an advantage. Such as maps builds the killer the survivors. I've seen teams absolutely bully killers cause luck was on their side and they got the map they wanted and it worked extremely well with their build. I've seen killers absolutely destroy SWFs with their zero healing wesker build cause luck was on their side and they got a small map.
So him saying survivors only have a 1 percent chance of escape doesn't factor in the skill of the survivors or are they a swf or solo? What builds are they running what is the killer and what is the map? Is the killer any good? What build is the killer running?
I'm not agreeing with these two at all, but the sad thing is that survivors don't win the game if they get killed. Because despite being a team-based role, the game's scoring system only cares about your individual performance. If one survivor gets tunneled out but the other 3 escape, then the game has two losers: the killer and the survivor who died. It doesn't matter if that one survivor bought enough time for the 3-man out, the game still thinks they lose in terms of their pips and their blood points. Also their MMR, but who cares about their MMR

Honestly, this exploit was worse than a Skull Merchant 3 genning for 60 minutes. This Dredge didn't deserve to go through this, especially with how the survivors argumented against him, trying to defend abusing bugs in the game to hold the killer hostage for an hour and yet he still prevailed. What an absolute trooper.
The skull merchant 3gen you could at least END it by suiciding / giving up / forcing the killer to kill you or maybe even win if team is good enough. Is it boring? sure, but at least you PLAY the game. Skull merchant cant keep you hostage. Sure you will lose but you CAN get out without DCing.
This exploit they can literally just go a 2 man team and AFK in 2 lockers and that's it. Killer has to sit there for an hour.
Of course it's worse. As much as SM defending a 3 gen forever sucked, it wasn't an exploit. The survivors were knowingly taking advantage of a bug to hold the game hostage. That's very different from a stubborn boring killer playing the poorly designed SM.

What's really sad is the Mikaela complains about tunneling, camping, and slugging when there are perks designed to counter that.
- Unbreakable counters slugging.
- Off The Record, Decisive Strike counters tunneling.
- Reassurance, Deliverance, and BASEKIT BT counters camping.
Yet they run none of that despite apparently "every Killer doin' it", so who's really the one that can't learn from their own mistakes here?
The problem is you have to have the skill to utilize those abilities which clearly they have none you saw how fast the first guy went down When he came out of that locker.
I think having perks to help alleviate camping, tunneling, etc is fine but there’s a limit. It’s why they’re introducing the anti-camp mechanic. I think there needs to be more in place to reduce or highly discourage these unfun and unfair playstyles. Perks would have to help adjusted accordingly, but, it’s clearly necessary.

Instead you get dumbass survivors who intentionally body block with OTR and then complain that you tunneled.
Unbreakable is the only one on that list that reliably does its job. OTR can be stripped off by a camping killer and DS, while still better than nothing, doesn't help that much unless you go down near resources.
Camping, on the other hand, has no real satisfying counter. Hopefully the upcoming patch will fix that. But at the moment:
-Reassurance is a cold comfort to the survivor who is on the hook and who is going to be left to wait, a lot of survivors find Reassurance annoying since they'd rather just go next and let themselves die if being camped. And if you're the one being camped, it doesn't help unless someone else brought it.
-Deliverance doesn't help if you get hooked before you can unhook anyone.
-Basekit BT realistically only keeps the survivor being unhooked from being hit by the killer immediately and going down. If the killer wants to follow them, it doesn't do much.

Might I point out about the flashlight bug... weskers invisibility bug was found late afternoon on a friday and was killswitched immediately. The flashlight bug with lockers was found on a friday morning and didnt get killswitched until the next monday.
They just do not use their killswitch nearly as much as they should. They have a system to immediately stop people from abusing bugs and yet refuse to use it for some reason
i get what you're saying that it feels biased, but also there's been an exploit for alien since release [well before the flashlight bug] that allows alien to completely block unhooks with her hitbox. getting hooked is a guaranteed death unless you can unhook yourself, turrets don't change the hitbox to allow unhooks and these aliens usually run lightborn. alien hasn't been killswitched a single time, and at most the devs have added that anti camping stuff to ptb, which will take a long fuckin time

sad thing is there is only a temporary ban for this from what I have read and been told by support. I have reported around 6 of them with video evidence and got the "We'll take a look at this and take additional action if it is needed, but please note that we will not be able to inform you of the outcome of this report." And on the page where it describes bans for certain actions, exploits are temporary.

Coconut I would like to say thank you! When I saw the video that you showed where you were on a cheater list were you would “waste 2 hours of your life” I was inspired. I went into that weekend not realizing this was a glitch that was going on, and I too, treated it as a battle of attrition a battle of Will and I knew I was stronger. I just finished heating up my spaghetti and sat there and was watching them do this and they got overconfident and I ended up killing one on the hook. I bled two out on the floor because they wouldn’t come out of the locker and the final one just came out of the locker themselves and gave up on their own. It was a 20 minute game, I was prepared to sit there for the entire hour to let the entity kill them. :D

I stopped playing the game because of how sweaty it was and how toxic the comunity was, it's just not fun to play a game and needing to play competitive for NOTHING. you get no reward from playing like a sweat, if you don't you are going to suffer until the survivors allow the game to end, and if you do, you sweat for no reason because the prize is keeping playing the game.

I saw a Survivor doing this in a match with this Wesker. Wesker picked me up, carried me to a hook, stood there until I wiggled free, and then I helped him kill her. Then he and I went around the map, and he let me stun him over and over until we found the hatch. Funny enough, I was playing Rebecca.

Hopefully BHVR start issuing perma bans for survivors who exploited this and not just temp ones.
BHVR could have cracked down on clowns many years ago and still don't do it harshly enough. Anyone knowingly exploiting or using 3rd party software should be permabanned alongside HWID and it really doesn't take a team of hundreds for a game such as DBD to achieve this.

When I play killer and I'm losing horribly, I still stick it out to the end and play my best. I don't punish the other 4 people playing the game because I didn't have fun.

Why the censoring of the nicknames?
I had a solo queue match against a Xenomorph on Mother's Dwelling where a Bill used the exploit constantly. Me and the other 2 survivors, after the gates had been powered and the Xenomorph opened one, trapped the Bill in the locker in the main building until the collapse ended. It was so fun being a part of something like that

Players don't hurt each other. It's the developers. Take away the killers ability to kill? They resort to whatever tactics will get them something. Survivors can't survive? Exploits and SWFs are used to bully killers. The common theme is the developers. If killers and survivors get over-nerfed, what do you expect?
@@jimjimerson7098 There is a clear difference between inbalance and exploting/cheating on purpose. Just because the devs aren't 100% on the balancing (which is impossible for an asymmetrical game) doesn't mean either side is entitled to violate the game's ToS.
The only reason people get away with it is that BHVR doesn't instantly permaban everyone that used exploits and cheats knowlingly. This is a common error with modern gaming and therefor a reason on why so many games are infested with cheats, leading to increases toxicity and distrust to development companies as a whole.

I had this exact thing happen to me while i was playing dredge too on rpd. Luckily it was only one person doing this so the game did eventually end sooner than this poor fellas game, but the way the killer approached these guys was, so inspiring almost, i wouldve lost it if i was talking to people like this, but the tenacity and mental foritude of this killer, must be recognized by more people.

I saw in 2 days literally 50+ matches with people doing this to streamers.
Them not taking this seriously and not banning for it just means people will think its ok to exploit cause there are no consequences.

As a survivor main and killer player, the game is much more survivor sided. If your team is good you will be getting 3-4 out somewhat consistently. 5% is pure insanity.
If the team can actually loop half decent and do gens it’s survivor sided and if there on comms it’s easy 9/10 games.
How he got those 5% chance to win?
Its gotten to the point that you cant play certain lower tiered killers unless you are best of the best at it and unless you have the meta.
Playing a lesser played, weaker niche killer with a fun memey build is impossible if you wanna have fun.
a full SWF of locker exploiters was in one of my matches playing trickster. I used his blades to hit them when self caring, as a part of their body would pop out of the locker. I killed all of them but it was like 30 minutes of my time wasted.
That dredge did a "pretty good job so far"
