This video and announcement was put together to support the Fallout For Hope Initiative. Fallout London is holding a panel during one of their events and we hope to see you there and support this absolutely amazing cause.
For those unaware, the Fallout For Hope Initiative was born in 2020 after the Fallout Community mobilised to help individuals in the community struggling through tragedy and hardship. The idea was that if they could help one person, what if a global community of Fallout gamers, streamers and content creators mobilised for one cause. Since it's inception, Fallout For Hope has garnered the support of gamers all over the world for St. Jude and other worthy causes to make a difference in the world.

Join Ken from CHAD: A Fallout 76 Podcast and Jessica Star from the Fallout Feed podcast for a deep dive with the Fallout London Leadership Team! We'll get an exclusive look into their ambitious new DLC sized mod: Fallout London. This project boldly envisions a new worldspace with new faction, threats, rich writing and celebrity guest voice actors.

Fallout: London is a DLC-sized mod for Bethesda’s Fallout 4. As a continuation of the base game, the mod will allow the player to visit the previously unexplored post-apocalyptic environment of London.
As a divergence from previous official titles in the series, Fallout: London is not set in America. Visiting a totally new setting allows for us to explore totally new cultures which have not homogenized with their American counterparts. It also allows us to explore pre-war European history, and the effects the Resource Wars had on the class structured society of pre-war Britain.
Team FOLON® operates as an independent entity responsible for the development of the Fallout: London mod for Bethesda's Fallout 4™ game. We want to emphasize that Team FOLON® is a separate legal entity from Bethesda™, the publisher of Fallout 4™.

I love how this mod despite taking place in the fallout universe still feels like it has a unique aesthetic and doesn't feel like its trying to hinge on iconography from the series to be recognized as a fallout game
This is ehat fallout could be if bethesda still gave a shit, theres so much opportunity for fresh spins on the series in different locations, a fallout china would be interesting to give the opposite POV of post great war from the other primary country involved
Obsidian pitched a New Orleans game years ago and I think k it would be the perfect setting. Bourbon Street with a wall around it with live old time music being played everywhere, creepy graveyards, voodoo type people and bogswith mutated cross and giant snakes. Have most of the city be flooded but levies surrounding Bourbon and The French Quarter. Fairies that you can take up and down the Mississipi to bogs and allergic communities. Theyre assholes for not letting Obsidion make it. Probably worried that their own work would get outshines again just like New Vegas became fan favorite
I really clicked on this thinking I missed a massive announcement for a new fallout and honestly the quality of this mod didn’t help dissuade me from that assumption. It looks beyond impressive, can’t wait to play!

So my dad isn't a gamer he's a Londoner and he saw the trailer and instantly turned into a teenage girl fan girling over this asking 50000 questions the man is 60yrs old and never gamed in his life yet here he goes spending a small fortune for a prebuild gaming PC just for this. Thankyou so much guys for putting a ton of joy into my dad's life even tho it's not out yet. And yes I will get his reactions on video when he finally gets his hands on it

LOL I am 62 and just got back into gaming a little over a year ago with Fallout 4 mods. The decisions you have to make in Fallout 4 can cause a serious moral crisis if you think about them. It tells you a lot about what the decisions you make and their consequences. I absolutely love it.
I am playing Tale of Two Wastelands now, which runs Fallout 3 on the New Vegas engine. By all means encourage him. It took me a long time to get into New Vegas. Now I kind of live there.
I am gonna play the hell out of this when it gets released. We have never seen a mod that lets you play Fallout outside of the United States (not on this scale at least). In fact this is the first time. This is a milestone in Fallout modding and I’m extremely excited.

The fact it was up to modders to make something exciting and beautiful like this, and not Bethesda, is outstanding to me.

It shouldnt. Bethesda is one of the worst game houses maybe since ever. They had just one idea (by coincidence if you know the story): Elder scrolls. Initially, it sucked very hard, but copy-pasting some ideas from the fallout series (designed by a now-known-as Obsidian), they obtained the more success through Daggerfall and then Morrowind. Then, after earning a very big bunch of money, Bethesda "Acquired" in a very dirt way the rights on Fallout for the first time, and that was the beginning of the decline.

A) Didn't make Fallout Franchise.
B) Bethesda Games requires modders too fix their games.
C) Modders are aswome!

It's amazing and kinda surreal to see a mod of this scope have a tangible release window. This doesn't usually happen. I am so impressed and inspired by this team's dedication to start a such a project and stick with it to this point. You rock!

Oh boy, I’m so excited. They did mention that they would announce the realease date having something to do with Fallout For Hope and in the description they did mention Fallout For Hope. Now I’m really getting hyped up.

It feels so distinctly different while still having that undeniable Fallout flavor to it. I'm really looking forward to this.
i've talked to people about this and some said that it isn't the fallout vibe if it isn't america, which baffles me considering much of fallout just completely ignores that it is america because it's old world gibberish. point being they don't understand what makes fallout, fallout.

Unless they redo the RPG mechanics, focus on choices, write good dialogue and tone down that settlement building stuff, it will still have a distinctive Fallout 4 flavor.
I'm not taking the piss or criticizing the devs, it looks like an amazing mod with I don't even want to know how much work put into it but I'd rather have the feeling of older Fallouts back.
Whomever likes F4, more power to you, but it's the least "Fallout" game in the series.

This looks like a lot of fun, will be cool to run about my home town and see how accurate it is. A minor concern though, one of the things I love about the series is the classic Americana vibe, it will be interesting to see how that's adapted for the UK.

I’m guessing there’ll be a lot more British weapons, more pipe guns, and probably a larger emphasis on melee being your starter weapon for some time until you find a military base or checkpoint or something. Could be interesting, with the L85, webley, SMLE and more all being more common, and as such weapons like the 10mm pistol and other iconic guns being less common if not absent entirely
@@LiquidPRIM3 It is fan made, dont propagate bs pls. Most mods are made by game professionals on their time off, it doesnt make it a bethesda release (and that also allows it to be probably much better than the turds that were F3 and F4).
Along side this and fallout Mexico fallout modding is shaping up to be incredible, I’m also praying this is ported to console since I only have fallout 4 on Xbox, either way this looks incredible!

Can we just take a moment and appreciate the fact that the team behind this mod built not one, but two moving vehicles in this trailer alone. Like Bethesda themselves were barely able to squeeze out like what? 3 trains over the 4 fallout released under their name. I have no doubt this would be a mod that deserved game of the year.

The "trains" in fallout 3 are just npcs walking underground with "train hats" on. It's hilarious actually.
Bethesda had to do voodoo magic to make a train move in fo3. And these guys made a freaking bicycle lol, so amazing!

Bethesda created the games. Bit easier to use the game as a base and then add things on. Pretty sure moving vehicles aren't particularly important to Bethesda or their games.

I am really looking forward to this, the dev's have done an AMAZING job. It looks and feels like a completely new game, which I know was the aim, and it has been accomplished from what I have seen so far.
Wow, so 18 months to finish it... That's quite a target you've set yourself!
I think all the big mod teams will be watching this with great interest, if having a release window helps move things along then maybe we'll start to see these projects getting released.

I like how people are trying to bring more of the fallout universe and expand beyond the US. I’m hoping to see in a few years a fallout in Berlin or Moscow later or maybe Eastern Europe
Moscow is in Eastern Europe and there was a time when Berlin was also considered Eastern Europe.

Being that it's London, there should be a number of very large holes in the ground where the center of the city used to be. The game should be taking place in the city's extreme outskirts.

the medieval armor makes a lot of sense though. lots of museums still have them and it would make more sense to use these over some football gear

I had never heard of this project before but now I'm incredibly hyped for it.

As someone who's only experience with Fallout is the tabletop RPG, the first two games and bits of New Vegas and 3, this definitely seems like a bit more of a step back towards far darker, hopeless storytelling than the oddly light tone that the post-Fallout 2 titles had.
Those 50's style animations are actually real animations used by the UK, neat to see them used like this!

And it was a little hard to tell, but it looks like the interiors of non-abandoned buildings don't look as crusty and dirty as the vanilla game. We literally have only bits and pieces of what the rest of the world outside the US is like so this will be an interesting take if nothing else.
They've provided essentially fuck all in terms of lore for the rest of the world with it essentially being "don't worry about it". Frankly this may as well be cannon seeing as Bethesda and writers have refused to do anything else with it.
Although this is far more a labour of love than anything the game devs have ever done.

I love that this trailer insinuates that the Globe Theater, a building with an actual THATCHED roof, would survive the nuclear apocalypse. Shakespeare will never die.

YES ! perleeeeeze.
They confirmed it would be PC only but they'll share all their custom assets and other modders may use em' on other platforms. Probably wont go further than "bike mod" and some fan made levels using their custom geo tho.
it took a while to figure out this is fan made. yes good job, good cause etc, still use a tag or something so people won't get hyped for no reason.
Way back when this project and the (original) team were just getting started, I helped cut a few early teaser trailers. It has come such a long way since then! I can't wait to finally play it!

This looks amazing… my breath is taken away. As an avid Fallout 4 fan, I am incredibly excited at the prospect of a “new dlc” to Fallout 4. I could not be more impressed with the effort and scale of this mod. Amazing work! A quick question though, will it be available for console players?
Wow, the environment looks incredible, this will certainly give the content creators something to get their teeth into. Mutant monster slaying isn’t my normal genre, so it will depend if it’s got a strong story whether I dive in or not.

Looks way more interesting than last time i saw this project! The enviroments looks gritty, and interesting..Just like i want it. But its cool to see new weapons too and a actual claymore sword! And that damn elephant, that really caught my eye. I might actually give this a go depening on the lenght of the content.
