It's right near Tate Modern, go inside and you'll see a lot more eyesores and they don't even do anything. Not to mention the National Theatre. Honestly, it's quite aesthetically pleasing compared to all the brutalism left over from the 60s.
This really does feel to Fallout 4 what New Vegas was to Fallout 3. More nuanced, better writing, more open quest design. More RPG and less linear shooter. Hopefully as updates begin releasing and the bugs/crashes reduced, more people can start enjoying the game. Obviously not as dramatic of a difference, as Obsidian's writers were something else, but even so.

Wait, what?! I've been playing for so many hours and I still haven't found a location that allows me to build a base. Can we construct buildings in FL?
@@antiasset If you mean the bug where they glitch on assigning, there are a few things you can do. First off, don't assign anyone to food. Ever. They will self-assign, and then happily farm away. If you want to assign someone to a store, barber chair, or suchlike, tell them to move to where they would be standing first. For some reason they seem to have a hard time understanding what you want them to do if they're not in that spot. Then, assign them to the store. Then, tell them to move *to the settlement they're already at*. This keeps them from wandering off, for the most part. By doing all of this, I've got my London Bridge settlement up to 20 settlers, with an 86% happiness, and more than enough resources. Unfortunately, I'm currently capped at 20 settlers because the usual mod I have used for ages to increase settler max caused CTDs whenever I got near my settlements. I had to disable it and load from an earlier save to be able to keep playing. Also of note when it comes to London Bridge... even if you're not building under the bridge, build some stairs going from the railing gap down to the ground below. Settlers seem to have a habit (as they did in vanilla FO4) of falling through things when the settlement is loading, so a bunch of them end up on the island below milling about.
People keep saying guns and ammo are rare, but I've been playing on very hard and have been running guns reliably since well before before level 10. I had 1k+ .32 ammo by then. It helps that I'm an exploration addict.
I was able to find a luger pistol in a safe at the metro station when I first started playing, so yeah I don't know why people are saying guns and ammo are so rare in most areas of the mod. Though I guess it varies with each playthrough.
I'm drowning in guns and ammo. Pick scrounger perks, do some exploration and loot as much as you can. Really not hard to build up an arsenal worthy of Enfield.
As someone who has over 5000 hours in Fallout 4, this is a lot of fun and how I wish I could mod F4 to be. I usually have to run over 400 mods to get the OG where I like it. This game is more quality-of-life mods as opposed to replacer mods. Great job and Todd needs to be paying attention. This is what the fans want.
He hired one of the devs and considering his history I doubt we will get any good ones from him. He has a history of hurting studios when they make better product than him.
Speaking of the Voice cast, I still find it surreal that they got THE FORMOR SPEAKER OF THE HOUSE OF PARLAMENT to do a voice role. That is just one of those things that is just "only in a fan project" moments.
If Bethesda worked with the mod team before releasing the “Next Gen” update and included this or America Rising 2 instead of those lackluster ones maaann it would have been great
why do you people want "next gen" update so much, just mod in reshades and graphics mod ffs. modders even made better performance friendly lighting but you still beg and beg
@nomad_boreal the guys at GSC really have to be cursed in some way. All the Stalker games had weird delays and issues for their releases, but this one really takes the cake.
I think this really goes to show the pure passion of the fan base and modders creating something truly unique. The passion of this team making a beatiful expansion based on the original Fallout narrative. It's not perfect, but this is far more flushed out and rich in content compared to any DLC or core release Bethesda game release in years. This is one of the best examples of taking an OG game and maxing it to 11. Well Fucking done!
You know how good this mod is? I initially installed it manually so that I could at least in theory easily switch between it and my normal modded Fallout 4 without having to uninstall and reinstall the whole game. But now the thought of going back to even my heavily modded Fallout 4 feels like going back to a schoolyard playground after visiting Six Flags. Now I'm seriously considering getting Fallout 4 on GoG just so that I can have Fallout London permanently without any hassle. At this point, there's a single future mod release for Fallout 4 that I do want to play and I've thought about modding it into a sandbox zombie survival game after seeing a lets play of just that but after those two adventures, it's back to Ole Blighty for the foreseeable future.
@@iarejessee I just made a new profile in my mod manager. I can quickly switch between it and my normal modded Fallout 4 though I do need to move some files manually.
I just wish my computer could handle the sheer size of this mod. I could play fo4 with over a hundred mods enabled but this one is really that game changing.
I so wish we can play this on console someday, either by bethesda increasing the mod size capability on console or working some deal with the fallout london team to actually have it published and put onto the microsoft store etc. It’s so good in my eyes, they could even make it canon with the fallout story.

The British Terminals are really nice looking. In the real world currently, everyone's computers and phones look the same, but it wasn't always that way. While we burger eaters had our Commodore 64 and our Apple II, the fish and chips eaters had their Sinclair ZX Spectrum and their Acorn Electron. :)
Honestly for China I was thinking about Beijing cause its the capital but a fallout Hong Kong would likely still be a British territory, giving it a tonne of potential for links to fallout london while also serving as a vehicle for fallout China lore.
The time played on my final savegame during the final boss fight was two and a half days played. In real world time, considering my busy schedule, that's probably one and a half weeks. I think that's how long the game has been out.
WHOAAAA they made a quest with Allistair Tennpenny 🤯 Thats so awesome. That was the first quest I did after wandering on my own through the wasteland and it was a perfect setup for the world ahead of me. I remember being soooo stoked when he gave me my own suite. I felt like a rich person in real life because of that suite 🤣 RIP Megaton
Quest markers aren't "hand holdy" It's a good feature to have for those who want to breeze through quest, maybe many don't like it but don't get rid of it fully just cause you don't like them. Also New Vegas has quest markers so lets not be inconsistent here.
@@NRuiz98 I mean the idea of quest markers in general, It would be dumb to have a marker in a box that you can see right next to you but many see quest markers itself as an issue for existing. That's like if you just removed all the guns from fallout 4 because some players liked Malee more.
Wanting to breeze through a quest is by definition wanting to be hand held. This is an RPG you literally shouldn't be able to do that. Play a different genre if you want to just breeze through a game.
Tbf the dev process being fairly transparent prevented me from being too worried about, but no this is anything but the frontier. This isn't like, "better" than fallout new vegas but it could easily stand shoulder to shoulder with it
Oh man this is awesome. I'm a fallout newbie. Started FO3 2 weeks ago. Finished most main mission, now exploring DLCs before I do brotherhood DLC and then finish game. After that New Vegas I will do same. And then FO4 Probably won't touch London for a while but I know the wait is gonna be soooo worth it
Quests in open world games MUST be made so that you can find your objective with only clues. Then there should be an option in the settings to turn on/off the compass/quest marker. AAA companies still treat gamers like they are the R word and that everything needs to be simple to prevent frustration, which is actually the thing that frustrates us
What Fallout London did great that Watch Dogs legion didn't was that the places were so easily recognisable. As someone who grew up in London and knows it really well, whenever a rare London based game comes out, I am often seeking the nostalgia of it and I have to say, when I got to Camden high street/market, the amount of detail really had me impressed, right down to the Cyberfox interior.
I can’t wait to play this. Genuinely this should be a wake up call to Bethesda I would love to see a fallout game in China and see how they are doing after the great war
This is an AMAZING mod! I have put some 40+ hours into this game so far, not bothering too much with the story (I've not even found Archie yet!) been running around, doing some stuff for the Vagabonds and finding all the settlements you can found Like I said, amazing and so much work has gone into it! Buffout 4 is a game saver though! after roughly 3 or 4 hours play the game started crashing constantly. Installed Buffout and long loading times fix and not had a single crash other than handful of loading screens just freezing and having to exit and restart but has saved just before so no biggie. Settlements are a bit buggy, supply lines are difficult to set up and settlers don't always want to work, I found it can take 3 or 4 tries to get them to grow crops rather than it happening pretty much automatically in the main game. I have just found the Tennis Museum, not started building on there yet, but the size is immense! The buildable area seems much bigger than anything in the main game! One problem with it though is the fences around the courts are un-scrapable. That is unless you have something like Scrap Everything! I'm going to be building a small bleedin' town on here! The beer mats and cigarette cards are great, gives you a reason to go into the many *many* pubs in London and I don't mean for a quick bevvy! one minor gripe (and maybe this is just a glitch with me, I don't know) but a number of items you pick up have been renamed but not reskinned. things like Fancy Lads Snack Cakes and Abraxo cleaner appear, but called something else (I can't remember the name, I think Abraxo has a couple of different names in 'London?) why rename then if not reskin? it's less immersion breaking to see an American product we're used to seeing than seeing something we know and clearly has that name on it, but the game calls is something else? Another one in the magazines, I've found quite a few, and they all seem to have covers from magazines in Fallout 4, I found I think it was an ASBO magazine and it had the cover of a Grognak comic
True Labor of love. As a teenager i spent hours designing freeware mods for Flight Simulator that were highly detailed and accurate, i did it for free just for enjoyment and love of the game. Now people are designing stuff half as detailed and selling it for $60. To see a freeware mod group doing this sort of work in 2024 is refreshing
What makes me sad? Bethesda owns the franchise, creates the platforms but a game that feels like a true fallout always comes out of others hands. Fallout New Vegas, Fallout London. Fallout London feels like a fallout, because "the fallout feel" is not about vaults, the brotherhood or constantly dumb supermutants. It´s how the player and the world interact with each other, how the story is written, how the quests are designed. Fallout London had a rough start with lots of bugs, but it feels like a fallouts home, and that is important. Well done team folon.
Is fallout London set up like survival mode where you have to eat and drink? I find it hard to play any Bethesda game without survival mode because of how well it works. Especially with fallout
This really is an incredible thing.... I'm not ever a modder for FO games, or in general... anymore anyway. In my younger years I'd putz around more, but anymore I more or less am just happy to get a chance to play a game. But for this one, well.... I made an exception, and I'm glad I did.... I never added a mod to FO4 beyond what was easy to do via Bethesda's in game system... this however, it's been on my radar for a while, and I knew that whenever it came out, I'd be doing whatever it took to make it work, just to at least give it a shot. And it took some doing, lots of crashes in the beginning, some searching.... in the end a launcher rename after adding script extender to the mix, and then adding Buffout4 as well, and it's been working pretty well. I'm so incredibly impressed by what they've done here, all that they've accounted for in gameplay, story, and the many things people could choose to do. This is really something incredible, and I hope they realize what an accomplishment this is. They made something truly special here.
In time, I believe F: London is going to be heralded just as much as New Vegas. It’s a legitimate Fallout experience created by people who understand and love the source material overwhelmingly more than the morons at Bethesda like Todd or Emil. Tragic how the mighty have fallen, no thanks to the appeasement of casuals to cast the widest possible net.
Huh? They wouldn't have fallout and the creation kit if Bethesda did not make them and give the creation kit out free!! Bethesda should be praised! If this was any other developer or Nintendo they would never allow this and be suing them. How about be thankful for Bethesda because without them this mod list does not exist.
I've only scratch the surface of this and I have to say it's the best fallout experience I have played, fallout 3 will always have a special place in my heart, but FO london is top tier I can't wait to get home from holiday to properly dive in Hats off to the team you have made something truly great and I can't wait to see what they come up with next I'm also hoping fallout miami and other total conversions are also as good
What? I think you are confused. New Vegas fans want a good game. Just because they used the fallout 4 engine doesn’t matter in the slightest. A good game is a good game.
@@russellwestbrook462 Eh, it still falls short on the role playing aspect from what I've seen. Dialogue skill checks are still dominated by charisma and nothing else
This has been such a pleasant surprise to play & I'm so glad the team were able to release. It runs a lot smoother now Vs. launch after updates and including buffout4, and honestly it's better than the base game for me. The FOLON team deserve every accolade they've received since release
My only potential gripe is that it feels very much like WW2 in comparison to the canon universe because whilst there was a 50’s feel, it was still very much set in the future, just the styling was different. I know that not much is known about Britain in the Fallout universe so there’s a lot of creative freebies. That being said, the execution and layers to it itself is nice and executed way better than Bethesda did
I have not played it yet and don't plan on it at this time. Americana is built into the DNA of Fallout I can't see a game outside the US feel like Fallout. It might be a good mod. Ack. I get why they would want to have an ending, but I'm a settlement builder and I'd really rather be able to play on. I wonder if there'll be a mod to let you do that at some point? Regardless, not an actual complaint because it's nuts that they did this at all. Imagine how crazy it would be if Bethesda actually properly supported the game and completely fixed all their own bugs and polished it a bit? They should absolutely offer some of the people involved opportunities to create official DLC and they should probably make Creation Club viable somehow so modders could earn money. We're making progress on fusion, can rapidly create vaccines and land giant rockets on floating barges now so I don't think that's a wild goal.
And now you understand why Todd Howard tried to sabotage Fallout London. Hopefully the FOLON crew take their mod to Microsoft directly, because they will get nowhere (obviously) with Bethesda.
Whoever made this video is either delusional or high - or is being paid to make it sound so awsome. Fallout london feels like early beta and while theres a variety of weapons the game has no variety of armor whatsoever very few clothes a lot of hats unfinished area graphical bugs exploring is no rewarding at all and can actually break the game if you try to do the quests after . Also no radio stations playing 50s and 60s British music - world feels empty and most npcs have just 2 lines depending on what their faction is !
@perseojose2517 that's fine, but maybe lower the levels a bit and stop comparing it to actual games made by professionals; companies with hundreds of people. It's a fantastic achievement and is quite good, but it's a mod and while it's got it's good bits and I'd much rather play it than FO76, it's not comparable to FO4 in terms of overall quality, world, voice acting, etc etc (even though FO4 isn't a classic by any means) and nor should it be, because that's a AAA game made by a huge studio. Celebrate it for what it is, stop trying to make out like they're being oppressed by MS and BGS and have made a GOTY.
The Mend is a british station. Most of these critiques can be said about FO4, this is way better than that Frontier mod. And while its story isnt great its a bit better than FO4, and bugs aside game design is way better.
It based on Fallout 4 after all so it will be similar to it. The armor and clothes has more variety than the base game. The Radio consists mostly of original songs which is awesome imo.

Playing as a low intelligence character was extremely funny. I remember a character was trying to hide their identity and I picked all of the dialogue options where I’m like “no. I’m 100% certain I met you the other day. I’ve been sent here to help you save so and so. I’m really confused” and the mission just completely goes bust.
That's how I helped some dude solve a case by randomly picking a file from a cabinet pointing to some evidence.
My God. I've always hated that eyesore Ferris wheel and now I get to blow the thing up? Count me TOTALLY in!
It's right near Tate Modern, go inside and you'll see a lot more eyesores and they don't even do anything. Not to mention the National Theatre. Honestly, it's quite aesthetically pleasing compared to all the brutalism left over from the 60s.
Lets face it, it's unrealistic that thing would survive the apocalypse. It was a year old and already being held together with duct tape.

I have totally ironed out the game by following the "ultimate load time fix!" Reddit post. I haven't crashed to desk top in over 20 hours, my load times are under 15 sec my EnB slaps and ya it's fucking great when you understand what was causing most of the issues(people not choosing one program to manage the games memory and instead making it be a battle between baka>buffout> F4SE> and sometimes a 4 mod. Are you getting the bug with settlers? How'd you fix it?

That was the main reason I shelled out foe the gog version. It took me forever to get my mod list stable and I don't want to waste that time lol

I so wish we can play this on console someday, either by bethesda increasing the mod size capability on console or working some deal with the fallout london team to actually have it published and put onto the microsoft store etc.
It’s so good in my eyes, they could even make it canon with the fallout story.
The downgrader sketched me out with the need to give them my login details. Ended up downgrading the game manually. Glad they gave a tutorial for that

Quest markers aren't "hand holdy" It's a good feature to have for those who want to breeze through quest, maybe many don't like it but don't get rid of it fully just cause you don't like them. Also New Vegas has quest markers so lets not be inconsistent here.
There are quest markers, but if the quest that you have to find an item, then obviously they are not going to point the item to you...
Why should it be easy to breeze through content
@@basedworldbillionaire- Well you clearly didn't pay attention
@@NRuiz98 I mean the idea of quest markers in general, It would be dumb to have a marker in a box that you can see right next to you but many see quest markers itself as an issue for existing. That's like if you just removed all the guns from fallout 4 because some players liked Malee more.
Wanting to breeze through a quest is by definition wanting to be hand held. This is an RPG you literally shouldn't be able to do that. Play a different genre if you want to just breeze through a game.

Quests in open world games MUST be made so that you can find your objective with only clues. Then there should be an option in the settings to turn on/off the compass/quest marker. AAA companies still treat gamers like they are the R word and that everything needs to be simple to prevent frustration, which is actually the thing that frustrates us
I wish Mitten Squad was here to see this
What Fallout London did great that Watch Dogs legion didn't was that the places were so easily recognisable.

I have put some 40+ hours into this game so far, not bothering too much with the story (I've not even found Archie yet!) been running around, doing some stuff for the Vagabonds and finding all the settlements you can found
Like I said, amazing and so much work has gone into it!
London is easily better than Fallout4
Fallout 4 kept me engaged for nearly 5 years. I have trouble seeing Fallout London doing the same.

Survival difficulty is a feature I believe, the same way it is in fallout 4 (selected in the difficulty setting)
The bit about blowing up the London Eye is a neat reference, as it was originally planned to be demolished, but they kept it.
It's sad how they do such a good work for free and Bethesda can't do much more being paid for it.
Huh? They wouldn't have fallout and the creation kit if Bethesda did not make them and give the creation kit out free!! Bethesda should be praised! If this was any other developer or Nintendo they would never allow this and be suing them. How about be thankful for Bethesda because without them this mod list does not exist.

It's a huge shame that Bethesda hasn't given them any recognition, sure they hired a few from FOLON team but was only for their gain.
@@smirkey90 Todd Howard doesn't like to be upstaged. Especially when he already told Microsoft that it couldn't be done.
NOBODY TRIED TO SABOTAGE ANYTHING
YOU STILL HAVE TO BUY FALLOUT 4 TO PLAY THIS MOD. BETHESDA WOULD NOT BENEFIT IN ANYWAY.
THINK BEFORE YOU SPEAK.
@@misakayy1911 I think FOLON would disagree with you. This wasn't the first time Todd has done this, and it won't be the last.
@@TheBHAitken You are making up fanfiction about people you dont know. Unironically you are acting like an actual child.
The Buffout 4 and Weapon Debris Crash Fix mods have solved my crashing problems. Went from crashing every 10 minutes or less to 12 hours with 1 crash.
Its a free mod , what do you expect? they're doing the best with the resources they have.
@@leatherworkstation Finally someone with a brain. Why are like half the comments in here thinking BGS (or worse, TODD HOWARD HIMSELF) is out to get them???
The climbing ladders animation blew my mind lol 😂 climbing Ladders, IN A FALLOUT GAME?! ❤
I absolutely love that the dog is a bulldog. Not because of how I feel towards bulldogs because I'm not the biggest fan, but it's just so perfect for the mod.
Still haven’t beat it yet, I’d say maybe I’m in the beginning but maybe halfway? Been doing mostly side quests and exploring ALOT. Did some of the main quests but I don’t want to rush it and get bored after. But yet this mod AMAZES me!
10:17 - @Gopher, you sneaky devil, or should I rather say Arthur? Awesomestuff!
this team should start their own full-time game company.
