Fallout: London is a DLC-sized mod for Bethesda’s Fallout 4. As a continuation of the base game, the mod will allow the player to visit the previously unexplored post-apocalyptic environment of London.
As a divergence from previous official titles in the series, Fallout: London is not set in America. Visiting a totally new setting allows for us to explore totally new cultures which have not homogenized with their American counterparts. It also allows us to explore pre-war European history, and the effects the Resource Wars had on the class structured society of pre-war Britain.
Team FOLON® operates as an independent entity responsible for the development of the Fallout: London mod for Bethesda's Fallout 4™ game. We want to emphasize that Team FOLON® is a separate legal entity from Bethesda™, the publisher of Fallout 4™.

Im so angry at Bethesda for releasing an update out of nowhere
@@amazingabby25 To fix many bugs on the game, You cannot even play the Game on Ps5 nowadays if you install Automatron dlc here in Spain. The game just crashes and exits to the main menu of Playstation

Oh my gosh! Is the player character blowing into the cartridge before putting it in at 4:46 ? NES moment!
The issue with the NES is the way the cartridge slot is designed as a double-lever. Not only do the contacts flex where it interfaces with the cartridge, but the entire slot mechanism flexes at the main board as well, which means half the time it's THOSE contacts that are giving the problem. The solution is to disassemble the NES, and use a dental pick to pull up each contact at both ends, so they make firmer contact with their respective card edges. Straight insertion slots aren't nearly as finicky.

I'm so sorry Bethesda dropped a bomb on you guys literally next to your release date. You all are an absolutely epic team of people and you deserved to have your mod drop on St. George's Day. I hope the patch for the game can be analyzed and mitigated easily and does not cause too much extra stress on you all for your release.
This is truly an amazing news (just got back to play Fallout4 last month after 2years). The graphic and city layouts look incredible, and more importantly all the effort your team has put into bits of details for quests, new weapons and etc. Dying to explore the post apocalypse London!! If the team is planning to do more MODs, would be grateful to see any of the Asian city, personally Bangkok (my hometown) will be super awesome 😬

@@Gremlin4771 In this aspect you got a good point, I must admit, I don't really have a good answer for you. The idea actually came through my mind because Hitman has a quest that did the Bangkok map. But after what i saw what the team did with London, it would be a phenominal event for me (as far as I'm aware there are no other games with open world Asian map that really goes into the depth of details). To answer your question, maybe a storyline with quest that would take a plane to a city in Asia. Wouldn't it be great to roam around the map that has a different mood and tone alltogether??

I have so much faith that people with this level of dedication and love of Fallout will treat it with the love and respect it so richly deserves and sadly often lacks when the heartless games industry needs to churn out another entry. Genuinely more excited about this than any “official” entry since New Vegas. I loved the way you included the boroughs me being from bromley/croydon (which a lot of people I know from more central don't know exist or don't consider proper london) will be fun to play through and see certain areas, never been this excited for a mod

@@Remssterit *would* be funny if it wasn't so sad. F1, 2, and NV are all so well done. NV was rushed as shit because of Bethesda & Obsidian still managed to create a fleshed out world with believable and impactful choices, important places to explore, philosophical/political undertones, etc. I have a slight hair of faith that ES6 may turn out alright, but that's only because they've done the ES series right. While Skyrim is my least favorite between Morrowind, Oblivion, and Skyrim, I can at least recognize what it did well. If ES6 can at least be on par with Skyrim, I'll be content. The rest of my faith in Bethesda was smashed on the rocks long ago.

Thats the difference between doing it for money and doing it for themselves. Sometimes the two cross and you get a few rare people who are hired, but often you see C & D orders. I'd love to see Bethesda hire this team on. It would send a strong message in the industry about what we value in human art now in the rise of AI and the inflation of all currency.

Kind of crazy that this independent team (who i assume have jobs outside of the mod) can set reasonable release schedules without crunch, where full studios cannot.

It actually makes perfect sense. Studios make games to pay their bills, wildly different than a group of people making something as a hobby.
Because they aren't trying to bend over to make shareholders rich after over-promising to get funding.
It's all about pleasing the stakeholders

I want the team to know there were multiple points in this video where I said "wow that should be good enough". And you just kept adding. We needed this mod more than you know. I just found out about this yesterday. And damn it looks good. Just reinstalled fallout 4 on my PC cause I missed it.
This looks insanely high quality, I know teasers are usually built very specifically to look high quality, but you can very clearly see how much love you guys have for this project, and I’m very excited to see how you guys brought London to life in the Fallout universe!
(Also extra excited to explore that big mushroom forest, I think that was a fantastic idea)
If it is good enough and popular enough? Would NOT be surprised if Microsoft snaps up Team Folon and makes Fallout: London an official Fallout.
@@Volvagia1927 I would be VERY surprised if they did that, Bethesda have said and showed multiple times in the past that they like to have very tight control of their IP's, it's why they barely ever acknowledge New Vegas throughout the rest of the cannon despite how much everyone loves that game (New vegas was developed by a separate studio that Bethesda hired, for those that are not aware already). I could still see the team being brought on or otherwise endorsed in some way, but Fallout London will never be cannon because Bethesda didn't get to have full creative control of it.
@@throg4657 it's crazy we could of gotten multiple off shoot games like this built off the FO4 engine, but Bethesda can't have anyone one upping them again (like New Vegas). Instead we had to wait 8 years to get Starfield lol
@@Volvagia1927 Sadly that could never and would never happen, as others have said Bethesda is very protective of their IP’s, New Vegas has been a PR nightmare for them ever since it released, all of their games get negatively compared to it and it’s seen as the pinnacle of a series they own.
They are absolutely not letting that happen again, because no one would ever buy their original games anymore lol

One of the lead guys at obsidian (think it was Chris Avellone) posted on twitter a while back talking about how he had pitched doing something similar to FNV for the elder scrolls franchise, "for the players to play in between major releases" as he put it, but it was turned down by Bethesda.

Modders are the backbone of the gaming community. You guys keep up the good work, even as a non-Fallout fan, I can appreciate the effort put into this and would love to be part of that kind of community.
Won't be anymore if the monetarising of modding continues the way it has in Skyrim.
@@B-A-L they've been trying to take away modders autonomy since the end of Fallout 4 with the mod shop, but modders are still fighting. I don't think they'll lose to Bethesda. Bethesda needs them.

it mentioned steel and glass buildings in central london, im thinking they must have been repaired or built after otherwise the bombs would have blown the glass out all over the city like knives, its why you dont see much glass in the games in general

It shows when the team REALLY loves the lore and content and understands it. Bethesda NEVER really understood Fallout and didn't really make an effort to do so either.

This is honestly the most excited I've been hearing the name Fallout since the announcement of Fallout 4. I can't wait to see how everything you guys have done comes together in the end.

Wow.... I've been following this for 2 years now but damn guys, this is far more than I ever anticipated. Those initial shots of London are for more dense than I ever expected. I'm seriously impressed and in return infinitely more excited to get my hands on this. The modding community continues to hold BGS up in arguably some of their lowest lows since pre morrowind. Hate to tell ya but it won't. They had to push it back until after Bethesda rolls out their new Fallout 4 update on 4/25 to make sure whatever changes the studio made didn't break what would've been their final build.
This is beyond impressive. To me it's not a mod, its a full new Fallout game and I hope it is recognised as such and gets the appreciation it deserves.
