Question for the team: Are gas sealed revolvers a good idea? - Thinking a lil about the Silenced Nagant, if it was so good, why weren't more revolvers silenced? Guessing it was an engineering issue for the time and how pistols quickly evolved to become semi automatic firearms with mags and clips. Currently, with US concealed carry rules would there be any virtue in having a gas sealed 32acp thinigie in your pocket, or would you just shoot yourself in the gentlemanly parts coz the safeties aren't up to much?

I felt that the reason they named the rifle just a "service rifle" was a nod to New Vegas where the standard service rifle was also just called "service rifle".

And we have to take account the years between the war and when the game takes place. Just watched the Forgotten Weapons vid actually! Which is how I immediately noticed the Welrod's bolt rotates the wrong way, lol.
That said, the dedication the modders poured into gun realism really pays off if we're nitpicking about how far a bolt sticks out, let's face it. Stellar work.

11:32 I think it's mostly to keep in line with other fallout games where they just name them in a generic fashion, ontop of the fact that they often wouldn't even be named the same due to that design philosophy of "no real guns" in the fallout setting. In the sense that no guns are meant to be the real version, even the original games did it with the FN P90 being produced by H&K, so in game it's called the H&K P90
