- This is how I fit knife guards so there is no gap.
The price went up a little bit, but here is a link to the rotary bits I used in this video: www.amazon.com...

I don’t think this channel gets nearly enough attention. I followed the tongs video and made a pair myself. Work great. Thank you for sharing the knowledge
..Thanks Jason for taking the time to do it right. When the guard and blade look like they are one piece, even if they are different materials, it's done right...
I love it nice work. I love it when people ask me how it cost me to make a knife and I chuckle a bit and say about $6 thousand to $8 thousand to make a Damascus knife to sell for $200. to $285. and the same for all the others. It's all the extra tools ya need to get a good knife to what the people will pay for and come back for more.
Keep up the great work.
All the hand fitting and hand sanding is tedious, for sure and certain, but there's just no getting around the fact that done correctly it adds value and beauty to the knife. Wish there were faster ways, but knife making teaches me patience.
Tungsten carbide
Take a small ball peen hammer and peen around the tank hole in the guard. Then press fit the guard back onto the tang. The flared out metal will close up any gaps!
$150 for a quality knife is cheap. Let alone for a mirror finish.
✌👍
Do you need to solder? Thats my weak point
