Your so lucky I’d love to walk round and chat to Paul he is a top bloke
I can’t explain how much I love Paul on the channel , he is the best 👍🏻
What a great guy Paul is and refreshingly free with his time and knowledge very rare in the trade believe me😆
Paul Linfoot and Adam, the team that just keep's giving fantastic Cossie video's,racing history we all love hearing about!! 100% cool content.
Thanks Micky 👍🏼
Couldn’t agree more. Tv is dead when gold like this is online. Dave airing top gear reruns with adverts every time you blink, I love this channel
Fantastic stories, it's my total go to every time I get a chance, keep them coming Adam, Paul needs to write a book to compile it all I'm straight in for a pre order 😀
So many old Group A RS500’s that you only have faint memories of from watching Grandstand or an old copy of Autosport. Very cool to see 80’s/90’s race cars now being restored and back on track.
Still have some of the races these cars were in on VHS
Watching back through all this stuff with Paul, you should help him start up his own channel (like MCM did for Alan with The Skid Factory). He’s already more natural on camera than Alan was at the start, and a weekly update about what’s going on at the shop like Retropower do would be amazing.
Thanks again to everyone who takes the time to comment on these short videos Adam and myself do .
I always think people will get a little bored with them but it seems they go down well with most ( you cant please everyone )
A recent trip to the NEC classic show was fantastic and Adam and myself got to meet and chat with a lot of people who watch the videos and they all gave great comments and told us how much they enjoy them , this again blew me away .
So to everyone who came and said hello and to all those who take the time to comment . Thank you
as Adam would say ,, See you on the next one Fellas , lol
I love these videos , me and my dad do other makes of race cars and it’s so nice to see the rare rs500 history and what you’ll do with them in the future 👍🏻
Thanks for taking the time to make videos of these very special cars from a era we would all love to go back to 🏁👍
Some of the best vids I watch and I'm not even a Ford guy!
Congratulations, the passion moves the world, all the best from Portugal.
It’s a fantastic relationship your developing with Paul, what a star he is. Hope you can film him at a race some time, would love to see that 👍🍻
“I’ve came to see”. Gets me every time lol
Looks so tough on the rs200 wheels.
Only just come across your videos and they are excellent to watch, not really into cars but always had a thing for cosworths since I was a kid, brilliant content mate 👍🏼
What a great era this was!! Going down to your local dealer and buying the car you watched race/rally 🏁🏁
Another great video from you two guys 💪💪💪
This is some of the best content on RUclips. The episodes with Paul are just awesome. I learn something every time, thank you.
A trip to Paul's on a Friday makes my weekend - the knowledge that man has on the RS500 is unparalleled- that takes me back - I remember that car racing on the scene over 30 years ago - just class ! Paul has a great way of telling a story , I am completely captivated every time !

Dopo 26 anni sono felice che la mia rs 500 karl Jones è ritornata in UK da Paul Linfoot
Thank you Mori , i will treasure this car
Another good video adam 👍
My Terry Drury Racing RS500 has same suspension, RFX wheels and power steering!!!
Typical back marker team, but still a RS500 Group A car😁
All built from parts out of the back door of a well known facility , lol , but still all great cars with great race history
Love videos with Paul
Would look good all restored, nice stang out the front.
Ideal Friday evening viewing
Nice to hear those stories....
Great vids you do with Paul 🤔
Another mint video lads. I could watch you talk about these amazing cars all day long. Unfortunately think I’ve missed the boat on a 3dr, but building a nice Mk1 Escort. Who’s is the Mex in the background?
Its a customers Andy , just here for a service and Rolling road tune tune up at Dave Boggs who is a mile down the road from me .
I think we need a video on the RS2000 in the background Adam
Love it boys great stuff 👍🏻
great video of a great car Whats the white escort in the Garage ?
Yes! Paul please have this car run at the Oulton Park Gold Cup in July
Im going to do my very best
@@paullinfoot6017 Awesome fingers crossed
What a great video ,cosworths were my era remember those touring car years unbelievable to see that the car was run on such a low spec ,would that be a rs500 or a normal Cossie 👍👍
Its an rs500 John ,
Amazing
Excellent content
Love it..👍🏻👌🏻
I had some btcc vhs videos years back 👌🏻🤣
Video on mk1 escort
As far as I know the original road car rs200 wheels were 1 piece , I believe what you have there is the rarer rs200 evo wheels
Mint video mate.
What does Paul mean by "gear it up" re the rear wheels?
Steve , if your racing at different length tracks you often need to change the rear diff , from lets say a 3.4 to a 3.6 depending on how tight and twisty a track is , or how long the straights are , many teams had big budgets so changed the rear diff , if you didnt have the funds to have many diffs an easier way is to change the rear tyres , fit a taller tyre for longer tracks , this stopped you hitting the rev limiter before your braking point on the longer tracks , its not perfect but it solves a problem cheaper .
@@paullinfoot6017 ah I get it now, thanks for explaining it. Thanks for doing all these videos with Adam too, they're brilliant I could listen all day.
Mint 👍🏻 love seeing the cars i watched as a kid!!!! I think Karl got disqualified from a win in one race for using over octane fuel 🤣 car was very obviously way faster than all he others yet had been mid field for the preceding races 😂
It wasnt Karl , it was Dave Brodie
Testament to the driver's ability to podium in a car not optimally set up for touring car.
‘tidy up’ - nut and bolt rebuild then🤣
Probably Eliot 😂
You know me well Eliot , lol
Just a question here: why would Karl Jones be racing on second hand tyres when he was sponsored by Avon ? Or were Avon just a series sponsor ?
Even if a tyre company sponsors the event you still have to buy tyres
Its the same today , Dunlop sponsor most of the historic events but you still pay full price for the tyres
The bottom half of the dash weighs f all keep it atleast for the looks 💯
You are correct , but take a little here and a little there and thats the difference between first and second place , I do have the hard choice though of , do i remove to make the car faster , or leave for originality , i think ill leave it and we will just have to try harder . lol
