That is the holy grail of RS Cosworths right there. I am so glad to hear that the new custodian is going to race and display it for others to enjoy as it is to amazing to be locked away in a collection.
The last of a rare breed, The mighty RS500. Dominated BTCC races in the late eighties. Well done Paul and team beautiful job. Thanks Adam for a top vid.
I wouldn't dare take it out 😮...I know you can't treat a race car like a garage queen but I think this is an exception. I don't even really like a Sierra on the whole, aesthetically, but this is no 'ordinary' Sierra is it. Kudos to Paul for his attention to detail, as always. It looks amazing. Nice one fellas 👍
Brings me back to a poster on my bedroom wall of an Eggenberger RS500 in the rain flat out and the spray going up from the front wheel hitting the sideskirt and going back on to the track - Great the car is going to be seen and enjoyed- Took right back to my late teens there !!
I love cars and motorsport and I have three iconic liveries/cars that even if I had a gun to my head I wouldn’t be able to choose between. The Texaco Sierra the John Player Special Lotus and the 555 Subaru. I wasn’t even ten years old when the JPS and the Texaco cars were racing, but they were burned into my brain from the first time I saw them.
Oh.... my .... God.. 😮 😍 Absolutely beautiful! Its just like an RS that my sis's ex ex ex bf's car... "Bodybulider Bob" .... he was MASSIVE and looked like a bulldog. I'll never lose my love for Cossies.. and I still apologise to the universe for crashing one. 😢
I can remember adverts in the motoring news with brand new 909 shells for sale when ford were clearing out . A full page advertisement saying even shells are going quick ( something like that anyway) . 5k ish springs to mind .

The best man for the job, by far. Brilliant

It’s the most amazing tool set up I’ve ever seen.

currently playing a drinking game with a mate, every time Paul says Eggenberger.....I'm pissed already

You could be drinking a drink with 2% alcohol in it and you still wouldn’t be able to walk at the end of the night😂😂
Paul is looking really trim too! Well done 👏
Paul always builds beautiful cars. Thanks Adam
Paul story's & knowledge on these rettro cars is amazing! 🏁

Amazing work from Paul and his team.
"Hes a good friend and only bought it so i could build it.."
Now THAT is a good friend 😂.. and tbh, if I had that sort of money, I'd give it him.
An absolute piece of art 👌
Perfect example of "you get, what you pay for" . Beautiful car 👌
mega.... its mad that its nearly all new parts praise the lord for people like Paul ❤
Great attention to detail. A roof aerial with a light would be a nice period touch!

Fords from around this time always make a very satisfying sound when you close the doors 😄 I don’t know what it is, but it sounds so nice 🙂
Thank you so much for bringing that unreal car and garage to our screens 👍🙂
Grew up watching these fly around British circuits back in the day,,epic car.

Iconic car
Which race series will it be in ? I'm keen to tune in. I grew up watching the sierras in the Australian champs and of course at Bathurst
Better make sure Soper takes better care of it than the E36 Touring Car he 'modifed' earlier this year at Brands Hatch.
Adam he’s got a few new bikes we need to take a peak at aswell soon please my man
Honestly I can’t even imagine how much people would pay for the new parts Paul has.
I wonder if Paul is tempted to put his back to Texaco? Takes some beating.
Lovely build , would have been more spectacular if it was a road going version imo
But take no credit away from it it’s wonderful ❤️
I hope to God it's driven
I would Waxoyl everything on the car.
💪🏽🇬🇧👍🏽
I think the texaco and Dick Johnson Shell sierra's were the best looking ones in the world
Did Paul make the quarter panels illegal?
Amazing hopefully gets driven hard like its made for 😅
also the best scalextric car ever made :)
Is it all brand new, from a bag?
Imagine the price
Hi
Vauxhall Carlton would leave it standing all day long.
Who cares 🥱
Never knew the carlton was a group A race car and left the most successful racing car in history standing ?
Please enlighten us 😂
Stunning piece of classic history there….. & I’m not a Ford fan at all!!
