Real talk, the way Donte describes Vader popping up is too accurate. You've been upgrading this boy Cal throughout the whole damn game. Getting some nice moves, powerful Force abilities, a dope lightsaber, and you feeling mad proud watching this former padawan grow into his own Jedi warrior. When Cal beats Trilla, you feeling all times of good emotions.....
Then Big Bad Anakin pops up and finesses Cal, like a red head stepchild. All that development, all that growth, all those moments of feeling like a Jedi badass thrown completely out the window. They don't even give Vader a fucking health bar. His literal description in the game tells you that you need to run. Run! Darth Vader is another level dangerous.

Cal is such a well developed character, they did very good with him.
He’s slowly becoming one of my favorites. They did so well in FO by making him not really strong, but enough to get the job done. Like needing help taking down Taron and stuff. Then in Survivor he’s shown to much older and skilled, like we actually get to see him grow stronger. Where as others tend to be OP right at the start.

You mentioned in the beginning how people are going to correct you on stuff, so here I go (although it's just a little side note): red kyber crystals aren't natural. They don't chose their Sith like the crystals usually chose their Jedi. The red colour of a Sith lightsaber comes from them corrupting a kyber crystal through a process called "bleeding", where they force a normal crystal to absorb all the hate and other negative emotions of the Sith to subdue it and make it their own, turning them red in the process. They basically enslave the crystal. It's quite fitting that, unlike Jedi, Sith are forcing a crystal to "obey" them by corrupting it instead of waiting for one to accept them.

Skazor, decide yourself: red kyber krystal are not natural? Sure they are. They're one way dark side users to use red colored plasma beams on the lightsabers they use - is also considered a rite of passage for dark siders, the bleeding of the crystal. The other way, and much more usual and less ritual is using synthetic crystals, with the same result - even jedi which also have in the temple a cache of real kyber crystals in case any jedi knight, master... loses (anakin is a master on messing up his ligthtsabers while still a jedi) or get their own destroyed, sometimes, not often use symthetic crystals to use in their lightsabers. If you want to correct stuff, correct it "correctly" not jotting half the story, which could make some believe you have poor knowlodge regarding the lightsaber blade origins. Sometimes you correct and get corrected... It can happen to anyone, myself included oc.

That's true. Ahsoka went into an ascension after the end of the Clone Wars. She left the last gift of her former master into the winter planet, created new duo lightsabers and "cleansed" to white, which is also involved the strong light energy from the Light Sister who gave her life to resurrect her during the Clone Wars series (Season 4?).

Cal did the right thing in destroying the holocron in my opinion. He saved the force sensitive children who in time will come to learn to use their powers.

I thought Cal destroying the Holocron was both the best and smartest idea he had. Think about, he would have to take these children from there homes and families just to train them and how would he train them all and where would he get the supplies for them too, they would need clothes, food, and parts for their own lightsabers and the best part the Sith wouldn't know who or where the children are now too so those kids will be safe from being capture, tortured to join the dark side and/or killed.
Agreed. They're outnumbered by the Empire so it would make no sense to risk all those kids getting captured

Now that I think about it when comparing Cal and Ratchet, their origin stories are practically the same. I hope I’m not the only one who’s thought of this.
What he did with the holocron was the best option. Either they go on some big adventure gathering force sensitive kids to try and revive the Jedi forces and risk Darth Vader showing up a second time to slay all of them in one big bunch or simply destroy the holocron so no one could ever find the kids.
If you read Star wars book, read "Shatterpoint".

The scene where cow cuts off his light saber while fighting second sister, is actually pretty impressive as far as the Lord goes. That move is specifically attributed to the final form of light saber combat and it’s more or less forbidden/taboo for both sides of the force.
I think Cal made the best choice, by destroying the Holocron.

Whoever wrote the story for Fallen Order needs to write the scripts for the movies. This story line is waaaay better than the trash they produced with TLJ, and the other two dumb ass movies. Do away with the old characters and bring in a set of fresh characters like what they did with The Mandalorian.

To be fair, if you compare the laser weapons between star wars fictions, the fact that you can actually see the bolts coming kind of slowly might be a representation of the way Force Users have heightened reflexes.
I tend to think that during the scene where you're helping Jaro Tapal escape, you are subtly being shown the advantage that Jedi training gives as well as how difficult it was to bring down a fully trained Jedi Knight.
I just saw the Forrest Whittaker character, and I was like “Wait, wasn’t he already in Star Wars?” And, yes, he played the same character in Rogue One and Rebels.
I personally think it was a good idea for Cal to destroy the hollow cron because if he did go through and try to get all of those force sensitive children, then the Empire would still go after them and that vision he had would come to pass. Also this game better get a sequel because man is the story so good. Cal's growth was amazing, having a black Jedi being alive was a nice touch especially what happened to Samuel L. Jackson in revenge of the sith and the good news is this is canon. And I can easily see this connecting the gaps between the end of revenge of the sith and a little bit of the beginning of a new hope although now it's kind of silly that order 66 didn't kill all of the jedi because apparently some of them were still in hiding aside from the obvious ones that needed to be alive so a new hope and the Empire strikes back and return of the jedi could still happen. Kind of defeats the purpose of your convoluted evil plan to get rid of all the jedi despite the fact that apparently they're still more of them aside from yoda and Obi wan kenobi. That is the minor nit pick as the game story is perfectly align with how it is in the main timeline and it actually works. And again Cal's progress was so good. Great job with the video as always Donte!

You would enjoy the Mace Windu story like bro his connection to the force and light saber skills was LEAGUES above Yoda. my man MASTERED every form of lightsaber combat with every type of lightsaber as well as mastered Light AND Dark side force powers because he had alot of anger issues. This man was so powerful in his prime he had not only at one point or another fought Grevus, Duku, Ventus, Vader and Palpatine...He beat and nearly killed every single one of them while holding back. Plus
1. He is the reason that Grevus wheezes.
2. He is the reason Duku limped
3. He is the reason Palpatine is but ass ugly.
I just beat Fallen Order recently and I loved every minute of it. It has tiny elements of The Force Unleashed in it’s gameplay, which was pretty surprising to me, while charting a new path for future single player adventures in the new Star Wars canon. Bring on Fallen Order 2!
Also, can we all agree that the Purge Troopers are a pain in the ass to fight on higher difficulties?

Just because he has the list doesn’t mean he has to track down students ASAP. It would make much more sense to first attain more knowledge for the purpose of teaching and more importantly secure a location to use as a school or headquarters. Preferably a location outside the Empire’s dominance. Space is vast. In a setting like starwars you can find freedom and solitude anytime if you search long enough. Jedi’s tend to do that anyway just to be alone. It shouldn’t be that complicated to do so to start an academy in secret.

I feel like this game shouldn’t have been cannon since we know what’s going to happen, like we know Cal isn’t going to build a new generation of Jedi because Luke is the one who does it. But I do hope there is a sequel because there is a lot u could improve upon, like instead of the split saber just Being a move, make it like the double bladed lightsaber where u can duel wield it. And y not add some Jedi stances for the nerds like me, like have all of the seven Jedi stances with them being for certain types of enemies ( like the 3rd stance is best against blasters) like how Ghost Of Tsushima did it. And don’t make the only bosses be inquisitors and creatures I mean I love a good old fashioned fight of dark vs light but just add some variety, almost all of the bosses were u fighting Trilla/The Second Sister. So those were my thoughts about how they could improve but feel free to tell me urs.

okay at first, I felt betrayed by the game when Cal destroyed the holocron...but I can see how it works over a little time of thought.
but I mean now that the empire knows we have it...I would've use that to our advantage.
always making the empire think we had it while in reality, we let them cone to us and shut the empire down one by one. the holocron is hidden again but in a place not we or the empire would ever think of , thus the list is always there if its needed but only one person knows where it is. (this would make it difficult for any mind minipulation to work)

Did she actually give up her padawan. Im not 100% confident in that. Her problems surrounded around losing herself to the dark side. She, if im not mistaken, never admitted to giving up her padawan. Instead trilla was simply caught, then corrupted and turned to the dark side.
