McDonald's doesn't allow its employees to drink on the job so every Big Mac will have two pickle slices. Sam doesn't have that restriction.
My husband’s a chef and this is his absolute fav cooking show.....he’s like “what’s not to like , there’s plenty of cursing , great food , and jokes” ?
Hi Sam. You missed one important detail when grinding your expensive wagyu. After you drop the last pice of meat inside, add some white bread and continue grinding until the bread starts coming out. The bread pushes the remaining wagyu through the grinder without wasting it. Easier to clean later too.

I did to in another life long long ago, back before there were even clam shells(on the stoves) and what sam seems to be continuously failing at is the fact thae he IS LYING about what he is trying to actually make. He was not making a big mac, he never intended to make a big mac, he was not even close to what a big mac is. All of it intentional and all of it a LIE so that more people would watch. He’s making his own version of a Big Mac, which he made clear he was going to try and do bigger and better. No one’s forcing you to watch his video by the way. Pretty sure from the thumbnail you could see that it wasn’t an exact replica of the McDonald’s Big Mac.

Worked at McD's as a cook for 5 years. Ran a 6-12 grill all day. All buns steamed. Burgers have salt mix & hydrated (from dehydrated) onions put on after they are flipped. Big Mac build--bottom bun: sauce, lettuce, cheese, burger. Middle bun: sauce, lettuce, 2 pickles, burger, top crown. You're welcome and YES - yours is 100X better!! More pickles!!

As a former McD’s employee way back in the day in high school and college, we were told that the cheese went over the lettuce and onions in an effort to hold the lettuce on. I was there when the burgers sat in the hearing bin for at least fifteen minutes. Haha I worked there through hs and college and have never eaten a Big Mac or filet o fish.

Wagyu (和牛) literally means "Japanese beef." The Wagyu cattle in America are descendants of imported Japanese cattle. Kobe is a city in Japan and "Kobe beef" is a specific Wagyu strain.

Wagyu isn't the American version of anything. Wagyu is a Japanese style of beef IN Japan. Kobe beef is from a specific town in Japan. Wagyu cows have just begun to be bred in America.

The patties McDonalds use for the Big Mac is called "reg meat" same meat used for hamburgers, cheese burgers, doubles, Mc doubles, etc.
It is actually 1.6 oz pre cook weight.
The meat is referred to in the box as "10/1" bc it takes 10 patties to make 1 pound in pre weight.

I made some homemade Big Mac sandwiches for my family and they loved them! I saw the guy from McDonald’s on RUclips explaining the recipe for the special sauce. It was delicious and exactly what it should be.

a bit of a late realization but welcome to the club
I made my own buns (just find an enriched white dough recipe and use 110-120 grams per bun) People here at YT show how to make the buns using foil to aid in the height of the bun.
I followed Sams recipe closely and they turned out perfect. Not kidding. Tasted just like a Big Mac but better....fresher. I had tasted mine before I gave my wife hers and I didn't tell her so I could gauge her true reaction - She said exactly what I was thinking - They are legit. This is my first success at trying to recreate a fast food item. TY!

Made my first ever Wagyu burgers yesterday. I made homemade burger sauce too which was similar to yours. I used sweet pickles because we didn't have any dills and I added a pinch of minced garlic. Melted jalapeno jack cheese on the burgers, sweet heat BBQ sauce, fresh iceberg lettuce, grilled onions with buttered and toasted brioche sesame seed buns. It was tremendous!
