In fact I know the previous owner, he works in the same place as me. I used to have to do a double check when I saw this car. I hope it serves you well.
@@martinbowyer5749 Ha ha. Great. Small world eh? You can tell the previous owner it is being fastidiously well cared for. Loving it so far. Sure she will serve me for many years to come.
That area that the antenna hits when the boot opens is supposed to be covered with a small piece of transparent plastic. Like PPF film but a bit thicker. I expect someone removed it...
Wicked. Thanks for the info. I had thought that once it’s repaired I’ll get some ppf on it or something. Pity they don’t do colour matched ppf. I could just pop a blue patch on top and you’d never know. Thanks for the insight.
@@renukrmx Thank you. Genuinely was a little harder to find a good one than I expected. I’m also really impatient. Hadn’t been looking overly long in fairness. I think I got pretty lucky.
Thanks mate. I have the wheel nut. And am sure the seller gave me the little puller thing too. I’ll have a search tomorrow. Thank you. Really appreciate it.
I don’t know if you mentioned it but how much did you pay for it? I’ve just bought one a few weeks ago with 67,000 SE same as yours, untouched. Intrigued to know if I got a good deal or not as the prices of these are hard to pin point as the rest for reference are all modded to the nines and over 100,000 miles
And you’re right. Most are high mileage and highly modded. I looked at a modded one in poor condition which was 3k. So I felt happier spending 5 on a good example.
I spent £5850! I was happy with that price honestly as I thought I wouldn’t be seeing another SE that’s standard so I’m confident it will hold its money
Luckily there’s no locking issues or mechanical, the underneath has been sealed and colour coded , my fuel cap is snapped like yours and the rear windscreen is lifting annoyingly. Body looks fine as it should for a 17yr old car, no peeling. Wheels need a referb, not curbed just tired and the callipers need painting.
Similar here. 3 or 4 dinks in paint. Lacquer peel in bonnet. Fuel cap I’ve fixed, the cable had just popped out (you can see the fix in another video of mine). Wheels are great. Presentable but not great. I’ll probably spend a little bit of cash on it getting it perfect. Underneath is ok. I’ll lanoguard that before the winter.
The last thing i want to do is make it sound like i'm telling you how to drive I have a early one with the long ratio gearbox so mine will be slightly higher geared than yours but generally over the years owners have said when putting your foot down it's all good from 2000rpm When owners start booting them below 2000 revs it puts a lot more stress on the dual mass flywheel shortening it's life They are good when pottering around using the torque but it's also good for them to be booted regularly.
@@40022laconia Totally get you. I’ve gone from 323bhp petrol (no boost until over 3k) to derv. Haven’t had a diesel for 10 years. I totally get what you’re saying.
No way I saw the advertisement on Facebook a few weeks ago was going to pick this up with it being lowest mileage one I’ve seen I have now got an se sat on 91k not as impressive as yours tho mate
Great choice. It looks pretty fantastic for a 17yr old. And what an engine! Definitely the star of the show!

The locking wheel nut adapter and the u shaped thing that you use to pull the black wheel bolt covers off are missing in the boot.
