Also, another apology, it’s a long one
I’ll take a break from long ones for a while, and get some shorter product reviews done

Skoda Fabia Vrs Se Engine bay clean

Hello. Thanks for stopping by my channel. Right. Neither of the cars I’m monitoring, evaluating and testing the coatings on are dirty. The weather has been dry all week so both are relatively clean still. Plus. I am revelling in the splendour and speed of my new Mac and honestly cannot emphasise enough the difference it has made to my process pipeline. Anyway. With all that said. Despite expedi...

Too much weight has been given to thick foams i think - too many instagrammers! I couldnt care less how thick the foam is as long as it does its job.
@@tenbob1973 100%. I did the worlds most boring test with weaker and weaker bilt hamber foam. From memory even down to 1% strength (it’s on my channel somewhere). Genuinely. Even really really weak foam still did a really good job. Saves money. Product lasts for ages. Just not quite so fun to spray or watch. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment.
Good video 2 questions, how long did you let touchless dwell and what pressure washer are you using as I don’t get as great results as you with my K2. Thanks
Hello. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment. Dwell time varies dependant upon weather/temperature and thickness of product. I prefer to err on the thin side as previous tests I’ve done indicate that thin/runny is almost equally as effective. In this video. Probably 3 or 4 minutes. Maybe in the depths of winter on a really dirty car, with a thick delivery of foam I might go for the full 7 or minutes. My pressure washer is also the base model k2. The only mods I’ve made is a stubby gun from slims detailing, an extra long hose and also use the Mjjc foam cannon. The Mjjc genuinely made the world of difference in terms of foam delivery. It just seems to get the best out of whatever product you put it in. Hope that helps.
Loving the vlogs it’s like I’m there watching with you having a blether, wouldn’t worry too much about shorts as they seem to be pushed to a whole different algorithm than your normal channel 🤔 there’s AI analysis for you 😂 Looking forward to seeing how you get on with the glass coatings 😊
Thanks mate. Really appreciate your support. All the very best.
Will be good to get the Suburu back. The windscreen coatings should be interesting. Care when applying as some require a minimum temperature, and this may be difficult in the uk atm. Have you thought about giving the suzuki another layer of Synergy on the lower half?
@@pigeonpoo1823 Yes. 100% thought about another coat on the lowers. You start to doubt yourself. I’ll do that while the paint is good. Thanks re the tip on glass coatings. Hopefully be ok in the next 5/6 days. I only got cheap/easy install gear. And yes. Re Subaru. Cannot wait. Thanks mate. Must have a catch up soon. All the best.
Totally agree with this 💯 %

Looking to get the Polar set for my car, looks awesome. Ive seen mentioned elsewhere not to use Polar Seal on the windscreen but noticed you did. Any problems you have noticed doing it your way?
@@tenbob1973 Hello. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment. I’ve not experienced any problems from putting it on the windscreen. It functions a little like a windscreen coating. In that water just beads off and there’s no need to use the wipers. I’m one of those people that try to avoid using them anyway so it suits me. I would say under some conditions. Light drizzle for example. 5% of usage time you might experience wiper squeal but that depends on wiper condition, weight of rain etc. For me. I’m all for it. Give it a try. If it doesn’t work for you don’t do it again. Thanks again. Hope it works well for you. All the best.
I know we all like to dress the engine bay plastics, so I'm currently testing 6 different lsp's / interior / exterior dressings to see which i prefer. So far, a spray sealant is in the lead. Except i see Perl and envy sets in😂
@@pigeonpoo1823 Which spray sealant? 303? Be interested to see how your tests progress.
TW ceramic spray, though any that says it can be used on plastic and rubber would be fine. I'm just using it up. The long and short is, dressings darken but can attract dust and don't last long. Sealants haven't made any aesthetic changes but will last a long time and make cleaning easier. So I'm going to try TW ceramic over 303 Aerospace Protectant to see if I can get long lasting shine. maybe you could add that Megs spray to the air box and see if it aids longevity?
I normally use Muc Off bicycle de greaser/shine in my engine bays.. they usually come as a multipack.. bilt hamber surfex for the dirty diesel cover however🤣
@@foxsake_ Good point. I’ve probably got one of those eco sachets of muc off in my bike box. Rarely get my bikes overly dirty these days so haven’t had the need to use it. I’ll pop it in my valeting box and remember to use it up next time I’m degreasing. Hopefully that’ll be fiesta next. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment. All the best.
I swear you're gonna be able to sell this car for a profit the amount of 'value adding' you're doing.
Do you know what. Whilst going through the Fabia bit by bit. It’s got me to thinking that I’d like to buy cars in need of love. Detail them to death. Then punt them on. Would give me loads of content potential. Plus I enjoy it. Have always fancied an old TT. I don’t really have the room but it’s 100% something I’d consider for the future. Who knows. If something comes up 🤔. However. I have my late mother’s car to restore so maybe that’d be a good little starter project.
@rev-you1975 great idea. Quick oil and filter change, clean and machine polish and shovel on.
@@pigeonpoo1823 Yes. That sort of thing. Nothing majorly complex (If I had a workshop I might tackle more complex stuff but that’s future state).
Can you recommend where to get the ramps you used under your back wheels
@ Sure thing. Just a moment.
The more i see of Synergy lite, the more i like it. And just think, in the colder months the drying process will be so much easier for cold hands. On a production value note, the mic volume is much more in line with the intro / outro music. Nice one
Yes. It is really good. I’m impressed with it. Certainly a good first foray in to ceramic coatings. I’d hoped the lowers would have been immediately hydrophobic but maybe I’m expecting too much. At the end of the day. At least 85% of the car was immediately clean after foam stage. I’ll do another test next week with just a hose pipe to see how it reacts to that. Both cars were significantly easier than if they had no coatings so the effort is totally worth it. Obviously the synergy lite is significantly better than hydroslick. Thanks for the feedback on the mic. I really should sit down and make some test content during the week but life and work get in the way. I’m glad it was better though. Always aspiring for perfection. So much better with cameraman. Made my life so much easier. Hope all’s well. Have a good week. Thanks for your input as always. All the best.
Looks good. British ingenuity at work!
2 things that save your life Brakes and tyres. Spend well! There's a reason Landsails are so called. Yeah, you sail off the land in the wet. Clue is in the name!
@@pigeonpoo1823 100%. The difference is night and day. Got actual grip now. Pukka.
Good that it's adhered well. Will it last a year?
Well. According to David McBay it’ll make a year. Only time will tell.
That hydro slick looks a good product
It’s not bad at all. Not quite as good as synergy lite as you will see in the long play video once I’ve uploaded, edited and then uploaded. The synergy lite is absolutely awesome. Easy to clean as you previously mentioned. Really really easy to dry. Still looking great.
Big fan of your work.. keep up the reviews

Como se llama la música
Hello. Sorry. I don’t know. If you check out my instagram you can see the artist linked to the video. Sorry I couldn’t be of more help. I did try to find out.
Well done. Now, my q. Are you going to add a monthly topper or leave as it is? Also, what did you think of Meguiars Wash Plus?
Hmmmm. Good question. It’ll be gentle clean. Weak touchless. Bathe+ shampoo. That’ll be it I think. Although would consider ceramic shampoos. And yes. The Meguiars shampoo was brilliant thanks. I’d always thought “be super gentle with coating” to protect the shine but once stripped. With good paint. The cars have looked wonderful. Who knew. I’ll admit I didn’t. 100% good for a total reset. Something I’ll certainly be doing again.
Really good idea
They’re gonna get parked super close together. Same products. Same treatments. We’ll see how the coatings do.
Nice one. Should be a doddle to keep clean now
Indeed. I’m genuinely really excited/impressed. It was so great to work with and the results are the best I’ve seen on my partners car. It looked pukka as he she headed off back to the horse yard. 🫣
Can you apply this on the windows also?
@@Dias-v I don’t know. I didn’t. I did paint. Lights. Badges. Wing mirrors (outsides). I’d imagine that dedicated glass coatings are probably better suited for glass. Although, I will admit that I’ve never tried any. Maybe one day I’ll be convinced. Typically I’ll put Gyeon wet coat on the glass and that works well for me.
Lovely day for it. Really interested in the Synergy Lite
@@pigeonpoo1823 On it. In theory sun will just be setting when I get to application. Paint surface should be just the right temperature.
You know that you revealed your license plate
@@bluecieslak1934 Yes. I used to worry about that. But I literally show everyone when I drive anywhere so gave up worrying about it.
look into a garage stool, you get more control over the machine when polishing
@@MrOrbitzHD Great point. Thanks for the tip.
Great video, thanks for the sprajer size information. Btw, i would just like to point out, having two sets of floor mats ontop of each other is a death trap waiting to happen with the pedals.
Hello. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment. I’ve never experienced any problems what so ever but take your comment on board. As soon as I get the Foz back I’ll remove the oem mat and pop it in storage and revert to just the texcarmats single mat on the drivers side. Thanks for the tip.
@rev-you1975 not a problem thanks for the video
Wow. That paint absolutely pops!
Was it carrier that let you down. Not necessarily Infinity Wax?
No idea. No one ever confesses to that part. It’s no drama. Just means I have to do the infinity wax products at a later date. Hope you enjoyed the video. All the best.
Very interesting. Lots to unpack there. 1)the polishing really has done wonders 2)have you bought Synergy Prep? I've read that Synergy lite can be fussy, and the general consensus with ceramics is to have the ceramic and prep from the same manufacturer. A great thread on Detailing World at the moment 3)you could use Synergy lite on the wheel faces which would a)be interesting and b) negate the use of strong wheel cleaners altogether But above all, well done!
@@pigeonpoo1823 Hello. Thanks mate. Yes. The polisher is great. Really enjoying it. Need to practice more obviously but starting to get some good results. I have now bought synergy prep (as you mentioned it). I don’t recall it being used in the review video I watched but I’ll review that again. None the less. It’s inbound anyway. Re the wheels. I’ve had gtechniq wheel protector in stock for ages. After the forester wheels have been refurbed I’ll protect them with that. I’m also having the Skoda wheels refurbed so will have capacity to test the synergy lite on one or other of them. Thanks for watching as always. Take care.
@@pigeonpoo1823 Looking at tomorrow’s weather forecast. It’s looking favourable for installing the synergy lite on my partners car. Problem is. The prep isn’t here yet. I think I’ll give it a whirl anyway. Fingers crossed it’ll be fine. Conditions are looking ideal and I want to maximise content output before the weather gets totally grim.
@@rev-you1975 go for it. It will provide an excellent real world example for people to see

Thank you. I’m super pleased you watched that far. Gimbal had been testing me for sure. It was a thoroughly enjoyable day thanks. Thanks for watching. Have a great day.
Oohhhhh NOICE!!!!
Thanks. She’s getting there. Just in time for winter 😂. Probably a good time to trundle her down to triton motorsport for her next phase of love. Then she’ll be 100% ready for spring.
@@rev-you1975 🚓💨💨💨💨
And they said you couldn't polish a turd 😂
@@huggybear1639 Never a truer word said.
Are you going to ceramic coat once its hardened?
It’s got ceramic top coat in the paint. But there is also a strong possibility that I will get synergy lite on. I double checked with the garage today how long I need to hold off cleaning. Few days to cure then it’s game on.
Holy smokes that looks gooood!
Yes bro. Nice and gleaming. How much did it cost overall if you don't mind me asking? Got forest sti as well and it could do with a fresh lick of paint 😁
@@noturbusiness6110 Thanks mate. Much appreciated. I genuinely don’t know yet. Ping me an email (in my bio) and I’ll tell you what I know thus far.

@@Dias-v Unfortunately not yet. Was just tinkering with CapCut having not used it for a few months. Just mixing things up a bit. Got big plans for some cinematic work with Foz once she’s back from paint.
That's a clean girl right there...
Shame. I'm still intrigued about Synergy lite. Still, the machine polishing looks to have added value to the car.
@@pigeonpoo1823 Yes. Im disappointed too. Not too worry. I’ll get that on my partners car as soon as there’s another dry day.
@@rev-you1975 and Synergy lite should make cleaning it really easy
Excellent range of testing there. Thank you. Its good to see people experimenting with products and reporting on them. From what I've seen elsewhere, both products are very effective, but the Korrosol element is just king because Korrosol is king! Thanks again Ps, nice bonnet beading
Glad you enjoyed it. I was a bit disappointed ag couldn’t quite match bh but I guess there had to be a winner. Bh slightly better results in less time. I’ll have to try diluting bh too. Maybe I’ll try that with the remains of my bottle.
