    Emma, I have done many a blanket with C2C but never in moss stitch which as plain as it is, it’s so beautiful in its simplicity. I struggle with my eye sight and found it a bit hard to see stitches and spaces, where you enter your hook etc. Do you think you can re do this video using a bigger hook (perhaps chunky yarn) so that the stitches and spaces are more obvious. It would be so much appreciated by all that struggle with this simple pattern but yet so easy to go wrong at the start. 🧶🇬🇧🧶 Maria

      Have you tried putting a marker around the chain space? I found that it helps me for the first handful of rounds and from there it should be more clear!

      @@emmacmakes Hi again - well I spent last weekend learning how to do this c2c moss stitch using some of my dk stash. I'm absolutely hooked! I worked quite a large triangle, attached a lining and turned it into a bag. I love this stitch so much I'm now working on a neckwarmer/cowl using the c2c method again.

    Such a clear tutorial! If I wanted to make this blanket rectangular rather than square, I know that I would first need to increase as per your tutorial until I got to the width I want. To then work straight to create the rectangle shape would I need to continue increasing on one side but decrease on the other? I've been trying to figure it out but my brain just keeps giving in! I'm starting this lovely blanket today with my advent leftovers.

    • @emmacmakes

    Thanks so much Emma - this is a fantastic tutorial. I am hoping to do one of these - but have a question (a general scrap yarn crochet question..).. does it matter if some of my yarn is acrylic, some cotton, some combination of both... if it's of the same weight, does the composition of the yarn make a difference? I have a lot of acrylic, but also some really lovely small left overs of cotton and the colours would go so well! But when I wash the blanket - will the cotton parts wash differently and change shape or anything?? Long question, sorry, but thank you also!

    • @emmacmakes
      @emmacmakes  8 месяцев назад +1

      Thank you! 🥰 Personally I would be happy to combine different yarns as long as they were the same weight; for me that’s one of the plus points of scrappy blankets ☺️ As long as you are careful with it (handwash, dry flat etc) it will be fine I think ☺️
