This happened to my sister when she was in high school. She was riding with her friends in a car one day, and they took her out to a farm property a few miles outside of our hometown. Her friends then told her something about the property being used by witches, and that there was a ritual site where the witches sacrificed cats.
My sister started laughing when her friends finished telling the rumors, because said property belonged to our family. The “ritual site” was a circle of poles around a fire pit, that were only used to hang sheets between the poles, in an attempt to keep the wind from blowing smoke all over the place when the family was having an outdoor cookout. She explained such to her friends, and now the property is being used by a family friend to house their horses.

I watched a small documentary about Finnish off-duty firefighter, who just happened on his kids car crash scene (kid was a passenger), being the first one there. He saw immediately its really bad and kept having nightmares about the sights, but after he had some time to think about it, he was super grateful he had the change to be there for his kid & kids friend when they died. It comforted this dad, knowing his kid and the other passenger (also known to him, small town) werent alone in their last moments, but with someone who loved them and that he could help save the two survivors, it meant the world to him. I think thats pretty beautiful way of thinking about it, maybe the only way to handle it without going crazy or turning to booze/drugs. He also said the hardest moment wasnt at the scene, training kicked in & helped him thru, his first responder family took care of him too, but later, when he got home and had to tell his wife and other kids what had happened, how their lives wouldnt be the same ever again. He had sat in his car on his driveway for a while, thinking “Im going to crush their world when I go in, Ill give them these few last minutes to be oblivious, enjoy life as they know it”.

so i live on a farm and we have this really big ditch that we use to throw away stuff that wouldn't fit in a normal trash can (chairs, broken engines, freezers, etc) but there was this local rumor that the former owner of the land used that ditch to hide some corpses, (he had been arrested for murder so it makes sense) and one day we were bored and decided to move the stuff from the ditch to a better place, and out of curiosity we dug a bit into the ground just to see if the rumor was actually true, we found 3 corpses and instantly told the police about what we found, we have since filled up that ditch with dirt

I once knew a kid that the school nicknamed “doll”. He was visually very striking, with pale skin, pitch black hair, and blue eyes. He was always chatty and kind until grade 7 ish, when he slowly started becoming snappy and standoffish. Rumours flew around that an English teacher that hung around him a little too much had touched him. He dropped out of school, and about a week later a news report came out on tv saying that the teacher had been arrested because he had numerous videos of him blackmailing, threatening, and assaulting this kid, and they even played an audio clip where you could hear him begging the teacher to stop, which was way too far. Wherever that kid is, I hope he’s ok now.

So, these rumours, or more so suspicions have been happening in my area for years. My little cluster of near ghost towns has a huge drug and illegal weapons problem. People use the cheap houses, abandoned buildings even churches, as meth labs or places to hide assault rifles. There were rumours that this one house was a meth lab and we found out it was true when it exploded. This has happened multiple times. Also, funnier story but during my law class in grade 10 we were discussing warrants and what gives police a reason to search a place. Our teacher said “if the gas station in [next town over] explodes we know where the meth lab is.” Five days later the gas station exploded.

My grandma used to travel the world with my grandpa before he died. Grandma always told me when she entered an area with a history of hundreds or even thousands of deaths, she’d get a strange feeling that something was off. Even if she didn’t know where she was, she’d feel that feeling and later find out it was the site of a huge battle during a war or something. I think there is some human feeing or sense that you get around death, so I think that’s what OP was talking about in the Native American story.

Number 13 hit home hard. I was an EMT in the early 1990's. I responded to a crash where a drunk driver in a stolen beer truck ran a red light crushing a compact car with 2 occupants inside. I got to the scene to find my wife dead and had my 17 day old daughter die in my arms in the 30 feet from the car to the ambulance. This was my last day as an EMT. The drunk ended up facing over 40 criminal charges varying from minor consumption of alcohol to grand theft auto to fleeing and eluding to 2nd debree murder. His earliest possible release date from prison is in 2033 which probably won't happen as he keeps getting in trouble for assault and contraband in prison so they keep adding time to his sentence.

Story 13. reminded me of a 3rd great uncle of mine...started a huge cattle ranch with two of his brothers that they sold to Scottish investors for $650k. IN 1886 BEFORE INCOME TAX. I figured out that in todays money, not considering taxes it would be like $14 million. Well one of the brother was a life long bachelor who was notoriously cheap. It was in a book that he was picked up for vagrancy once in TX and the sheriff telegraphed the sheriff in the misers' home town to see if he had any means. The sheriff responded "let him go he's the richest man in the county!" Also a great uncle would visit the old guy as a boy, with his mother (who was his niece) and upon arriving the old guy would give him a nickel. However, when he would go to leave, the old man would take the nickel back ha ha.

Somethong happened to me kinda similarly to story 4. We had just gotten a new Chinese teacher, and he seemed to be more interested in some students rather than others, especially girls. This was in ELEMENTARY school btw. Me, being a little sucl up and wanting to be a teachers "favourite" would hang out with the teacher at recess sometimes. He would approach me and watches play and take pictures. Sometimes he would ask, and not thinking much of it, said yes. My mentally unstable and really low self esteem brain at the time never even consider that he might be a creep. This continued all through out 4th to 6th grade. It was a relief, and I realised how creepy it was afterwards. I forgot about that teacher, until my younger (8) sister mentioned him, and he was also getting pictures of her, in short dresses. Now in high school, understanding what this creep was doing, immediately stepped in and contacted the school administration and board. A week later, my sister said they had a new Chinese teacher. Heard on the news later that he was arrested, and found with hundreds of pictures of little girls on his phone and home computer.

I was the one the rumor was about. In middle school, a girl who hated me started a rumor that I was on drugs and would go out partying with high schoolers. It went around the school for a while, but most people didn't believe it, because I went to church on Sundays, youth group, did Christian puppets, and did martial arts. So, the ones who didn't think it was false, because I was a "good Christian" thought I just didn't have the time. Well, I WAS on drugs. I started smoking weed when I was 12 and by the time I was 14 I was doing shrooms, LSD, PCP, and ecstasy. I would go out whenever I had a free night and go to raves or party with the older friends I met at them. I was regularly high at school, but my grades didn't fall, because it was easy for me. My life was going to shit around that time, but between my family lying about everything and me not correcting them to anybody because I didn't want people in my business, nobody knew.

When I was in middle school we heard a rumor that someone had brought a gun to the high school, which was why they evacuated and sent us all home early. I remember running all the way from school back to my house, not knowing if it was true or not. Later, in high school, I found out that not only was it true, but someone had brought bullets as well. By that point it had turned into something of a local legend that none of the teachers wanted to confirm, but I was able to coax the truth out of one of them. Another rumor from around that time was that a freshman over at the high school got assaulted by a senior, and while I don't know if that one is true or not I highly suspect it is, for a while there we had to have escorts from class to class.

11:46 I got that one from teachers too. My family was pretty poor growing up; we didn't even have a car until I was in high school. I took the city bus to school, but the bus arrived just in time to get me to class three minutes late (or 27 minutes early), and since I had no intention of wasting more time at school than I needed to, I was basically late every day. Teacher told me it was my 'job' to get myself there on time, even if I had to take the earlier bus. I said no, I'm not going to waste my time like that. She gave me detention. I told her that's fine but it won't change anything. I'm not going to waste half an hour every day to be on time for a class I don't even want to be in. (Insulting, yes, but I was insulted by how little value she placed on my time. Time is the only thing you can lose, and can't ever get back. Wasting someone's time is the greatest insult you can give.)

    2:29 I have a story that’s a lot like this.
My French immersion teacher and my 7th/8th grade teacher (I’m Canadian) definitely had a crush on each other, they used to flirt allll the time and even would go away with just the two of them on field trips. Thing is, the 7th/8th grade teacher was married. I graduated in 8th grade and moved on with my life but would come back to my elementary school from time to time to say hey to the teachers and talk about my high school and how that’s going, during one of those trips, I found out that him and his wife got divorced because she caught him cheating on her with the French immersion teacher.. 😬

I was a teacher at this school myself, also this happened during the pandemic when schools were online. There was a rumor started by students that this new chem teacher was drinking alcohol during class. We didn't think much of it, since the chapter they were on was about alcohol. We believed the teacher had just shown some bottles to show where you would find alcohol to make it more of a real thing for the students and the students made it in to a cool story.
Then, since this was a new teacher, an other teacher logged in to her lesson at 10 in the morning. They saw that teacher being so drunk words just came out in a jumbled mess. The teacher was holding a bottle of jack daniels and just drinking from the bottle. Class was dismissed by the other teacher and the drunk teacher was fired. Since this happened 3 months in, we had to find out how much the students had missed that school year. They missed everything they were supposed to learn. The teacher was drunk from day one, only staying sober when they had a meeting with an other teacher. I had to teach one of the classes next and try to get them to learn the stuff the students missed, whilst also staying on track with what the other classes. They had to retake all tests, because the tests had all disappeared and we didn't know how she had grated the tests.

Retired navy vet (now) over the years you often hear people talk about how our food was sub par, "rejected by californian school systems" "rejected by texas prison systems" "grade D meat, not suitable for human consumption"
We often had to hand carry the food in a daisy chain from the pier to the mess decks, in my first four years did I see all 3 stickers on boxes of meat or food and every one in the line passing things down would comment on it.
After the 4th year, we stopped seeing those stickers all together, big navy supposedly switched contracts and we were supposedly getting better grade food... honestly? think they just got smarter and went out of their way to remove the stickers.
P.S. Ironically, despite the questionable "quality" of the ingredient on my first ship, some how the best cooks (mess specialists, then culinary specialists) I ever encountered during my naval service.

They don’t live locally anymore but maybe this doesn’t count as a rumour more a fact some people knew was true and others just assumed it was too silly to be) and my friend had the photo because his brother was at a party with the family(I’m not sure of the relation to Ewan but my friend was smug because when he flipped the photo over Ewan Mcgreggor’s autograph was on the back).

When I was a kid, there was a rumor and passing notion that there were secret tunnels beneath a small mountainous area of my hometown. It had a park near its peak, built around the grounds of this giant, conical burial mound of the Adena, native American people. But just up the road are these giant, seemingly sparcely used buildings.
It turns out that this site was the Mound Laboratories, a nuclear research site used during the Cold War, where they had developed nuclear warheads, and beneath its buildings was a giant nuclear fallout and laboratory bunker. What's even cooler is the way we (my classmates and friends of the same age) found out it was true, which was when we were taken there as a field trip in middle school, studying the Cold War. We took a tour of the mostly decommissioned and repurposed buildings and walked through the bunker itself. It was amazing and a bit frightening of an experience, having such a solidified, real piece of horrible multi-national history, right down the road, just a few miles away from where I grew up. As someone who has loved Fallout since.. well not too long before that field trip, it was pretty harrowing seeing a very real example of that kind of thing, something we all took as a silly rumor, but really just likely veiled as such by the adults until we're ready to learn about it I guess.

my 6th grade homeroom teacher (also my 7th grade social studies teacher) was said to be caught...pleasuring himself...in his classroom during his planning period when 2 7th grade students of his walked in to ask him a question or something idk. everyone said that it happened during a class but i highly doubt he would do it in a room filled with minors on school property. he was suspended (or at least u hope he was suspended he just kind of disappeared) for 2ish months, when he got back the "rumor" wasn't as popular. and he kept working at my school the rest of my 6th and 7th grade years. a few months ago some of my friends and i got curious what happened to him because he stopped working at the school so we googled his name and it turns out the rumor was 100% true. dont know why he couldn't have gone to a teacher's bathroom or just waited until he got home. he was a pretty chill teacher, he threw candy at us and blamed it on "arm spasms", and he was just overall a nice guy so its a shame this all happened. everyone also thinks that he's married to the meanest most strict science teacher in the school but nobody knows for sure

My high school science teacher beat his wife with a drying pan. He served his sentence only on weekends so he could keep his job. The teachers never let us talk about it for obvious reasons. He was a terrible teacher, and nobody liked him (for unrelated reasons to the crime).

This is a weird one, also pretty recent too. In my highschool, there was a rumor that a girl was so lazy at home that instead of getting up to use the restroom, she would just pee herself in her room. Turns out when a friend of hers was over last, the girl did her thing. Then this was leaked(ironic) all over the school. Kinda harsh to the girl tbh but its a bunch of 15-17yo kids in a rural area so shit gets around.

for those who dont know: my grandpa had a windows 3.1 tablet with 80 megabytes on it and it was more than enough. Even the family's (yes one computer per family back then generally) windows 95 Sony Vio had 128 megabytes on a HDD and only 8mb of ram. held the few digital pictures we had, each being well under a MB.
Having a FEW THOUSAND megabytes of JUST pictures of kids in the 90s would be absolutely insane. The very thought of needing a gig of storage was a wild idea. I mean whole offices ran off a gig in servers in the back. lol Its crazy now, but it would be insane back then to even own more then 500mb let alone a few gigs. Must have cost the guy a lot of money.....just to be a degenerate.

When i was in 3rd-4th grade A joke among us children was that our class teacher and our geometry teacher were a couple because the two of them were somehow very close to each other. Now about 6 years later my little sister is starting school and funnily enough it says on her registration sheet that one of the teachers has the first name of my former main teacher and the last name of my Geometry Teacher. It must be her (Former main teacher) because her last class was grade 4 and the teachers then come back to grade 1.

Okay so, uh... I have a little story of my own here.
So my middle school band teacher (I never actually took band as a class but all but one of my friends did) resigned halfway through my 8th grade year. There was a rumor going around that he had been grooming and assaulting some of the high school students and was told to either resign or he would be fired. I didn't really believe it at first because middle school students suck and make up random stuff about people all the time, but I found out a few months later that the rumor was actually kind of true. In fact, he did groom and almost sexually assault one of his students, who just happens to be one of my closest friends. When I found out about this, I knew I definitely couldn't deny the rumor anymore. The only people that actually know about this (as far as I know) are the band teacher, my best friend, the kid who was groomed, me, and the school counselor. The whole endeavor was kinda messed up, honestly, and I'm now glad I chose not to take band in middle school.

    About the last one:
I think kids might have some sort of sixth sense, when it comes to death. I think there are stories about younger children being able to see ghosts or something like that. My mother said that children see death standing at someones bed, after I didn't want to see my dying grandmother for days, before going in and saying goodbye when I went to school. That was the day she died. The OP in the last story might have sensed something aswell.

There’s a guy back home who rides a bike in a full suit every day, all over town and surrounding area(s). Like, he’s a permanent fixture and memorable multi-generation wise. Mom told me about him once, a casual comment about how he’s rumored to be a total pedo, but it’s just a rumor.
My now husband and I started dating around 6 years ago and we saw him riding by on his bike while we were driving through the square, and I told him about the rumor my mom said. He told me it’s true, he’s known by authorities and a nuisance, he will sit just behind the foot limit of how far he has to be from schools which is across the street, so he’ll ride to the school and sit on a stoop or whatever right on the border of that limit and watch.

OK I might be seeing things but slot of times people at my primary school keep saying its haunted in fact the principal confirmed they weren't lying they said that one time there was a class in the ases office and they were just doing their homework. But then the door closed by itself and the lights turned off everyone in that room was gone. The police even came to do an inspection to find them but they were never found. The scariest thing is that before they disappeared there was screaming from that room I refused to go in that room since today and I don't regret it.

The guidance councilors office was right in front of our classroom at this time so if we needed something like a paperclip we can ask him.
at the end of the school year like the 3rd quarter he got fired and no one knew why. Some weeks after he got fired rumors started flying around saying that he was a predator and we all said "Thats not true" or "Noo hes just friendly". Turns out he was a predator and one of the high schooler's little sibling sat on his lap and the guidance councilor made her cry. When my friend dropped something in front of his office (the door was open) she said that when she picked it up she saw him look under her skirt. Ever since they found out they have locked his room.(this happened last year)

So like 20 something years ago my mother worked at this little gas station in town, you know nothing special, gas, car wash, snacks you know, anyway, there was this little kid about 10-12, that well the parents would send him down to the gas station with money to get alcohol and cigarettes, well he got addicted to that stuff when he got older and still is, now he does all kind of ‘things’ (not anything sexual just..drugs or well maybe not but he looks like it)with this homeless guy. It’s honestly sad, (this has nothing to do with this video I just wanted to share something)
