- This is the official video for The Complexions version of I Only Have Eyes For You. The Flamingos version is mixed in half way through, just as it is in the official Bronx Tale soundtrack. There were some errors made in the making of this video. The live clip is actually The Flamingos singing "Would I Be Crying" in the film Rock, Rock, Rock. Also, the still pictures of The Flamingos are not the members that recorded "I Only Have Eyes For You". Terry Johnson, not featured in any depictions of The Flamingos in this video, in fact arranged the music, vocals and sang 1st tenor.

I first caught this video on RUclips in 2023. I was AMAZED. Not to mention: MESMERIZED!!!! I did not see the movie. But I have not SEEN nor HEARD the Complexions. Where do they come from?????? However...... you can tell they have been singing for quite some time.

A Bronx Tale is probably one of the best movies ever made! Beautiful, Harsh, Realistic, Emotional and Accurate. Everytime I watch it I just feel so at home and happy but also a strong connection to the realities of life. It's a masterpiece in cinema and very underrated as a top Mob film!
It was perfect... Especially when they sing it a Capella in the high school corridors. Seriously, I prefer the cover...
I think the cover has more of that "smooth, street-corner soul" kind of sound and the original has that dreamy, ethereal, "of the stars" quality. They're both AWESOME!!

I used to play this song with my high school sweetheart in the car as we would cruise with all the windows down on a warm summer night, still remember those goosebumps on my skin, she would dress so beautiful and the smell of her perfume was breathtaking. Always said I'm gonna marry this girl one day. But as time went on, we still dated after high school n then it was time for us to experience life n to go our seperate ways. Mannnn was that one of the hardest things to experience. However; I'm 31 now and magically we have both moved back to our hometown recently, we been hangin out as friends and it feels amazing to know she still is in my life. Funny how life works out like that sometimes. I can tell her anything and she's the same way with me :-)

I’ve been with my woman for 13 years since we were 15, 2 beautiful children. Things began to go stale and difficulties that life throws everyone’s way in long term relationships. I was a rough neck chav in and out of nick, she was a beautiful girl that was tainted by family troubles. This song took us back to the 1st day we met. Walking the streets hand in hand until 5am no drink no drugs just love. We are now happier than we ever could be !!!!
Thank you I needed something like this, I want say how long I've been married to this one man but I guarantee you that you and your wife was not born yet, my husband and I was actually a part of the 50s and life felt so clean, songs where nice and girls respected themselves and boys respected the girls, I sure do miss those good old days, we could sleep out on the porch without a worry, walk the street anytime of night with no cop in sight, I miss those days.

This song is the best written and recorded song I've ever heard. Those words are immaculate and the Flamingos version(with the music arrangement) brings out inner emotions. Just listen to the words and music and put yourself in that feeling with someone you love or really desire and you know this song is "the truth". It came out when I was 1 yrs old and every time I hear I think about my mother and father and what they had. This was their song and it is mine too.
