I have a pro frame (have had it for over a year) and don’t see anything in the others I’d want. Edit.. with the fastener I just take the helmet off rather then eating through it. Never occurred to me to try tbh.
I already own that exact TLD, so I’m gonna go with that one. Eatability is on point, plus it’s already saved my head/face in a crash. I lived to ride another day. TLD for life.
I just wanna comment really quickly. This helmet is a life saver, I’m a 13 year old mountain biker and I was at a Derby Tasmania 3 days ago and I had a massive crash. I was going down kumma gutza on a downhill section that led into a rock garden. I was going about 25 kmh and at the end of the down hill my front tire got stuck in one of the rocks in the rock garden. I went head first over my Handel bars into a massive Boulder and 25 kmh. My head, neck and spine took all the blow. Luckily thank god I came out of it alive and not paralysed. Helmet was completely fucked afterwards but without such a good helmet I wouldn’t be here to type this comment. I was lucky to only have to spend 5 hours in hospital too. This helmet is well worth the money !!!! Fox proframe all the way!
I have the IXS Trigger FF, and it’s literally the best helmet I ever had. It’s super light weight, and incredibly breathable. The adjuster works perfect and the visor adjustment doesn’t bother me. Very, very good helmet. It also saved me from a big crash, definitely would buy it again
Just got an IXS and rode an entire day at my local bike park with temps between 25°C and 30°C, and although it got a little sweaty I barely noticed wearing it and had no ear or neck pain after an entire day! Love it! 😁🤙
light weight, great ventilation and good looking - PLUS the fidlock magnetic closing system. Number One Helmet for me is clearly the IXS TRIGGER FF 👍🏼😁🚵🏼♂️
I currently go with the TLD. I've got a huge head. I've tried Fox before and the extra large helmets are tight for me. It really comes down to the fit of the helmet, cost and then weight. Thanks for the cool review!
I owned a Proframe and the Trajecta. The proframe feels and looks less strong, also I've seen a lot of proframe's chinbars broken. Only thing I miss is the fidlock system. I love my 100%
Hey with Helmet fitment please evaluate the shape of the crown! Something like Round/Intermediate-Oval/Long-Oval. People have drastically different head shapes and this info can be a great piece of info to help with purchasing decisions. Take a look at some of RevZilla's helmet reviews for specific examples! Currently no one in the bicycle world is evaluating fitment like this. It would be a great way to stand above the crowd!
Just ordered a Specialized ambush comp! Ty for the discount code! It helps 😊 Im just getting into MTB and this was my 1st order. I'll be ordering alot more as I upgrade my 29er. Getting new fork, drivetrain, carbon bar, stem etc. Everything but my frame lol Love my Axum DP. Great budget bike. Ppl been telling me "just should've bought a bike loaded". Well, I can't afford $2-4k all at once. Plus I wana do the upgrades myself. Im very capable lol
I have the fox moth proframe , 750g , and it’s been the nicest helmet I’ve owned it was so light I thought it wouldn’t protect me and as I got confident doing tricks I start to eat dirt this helmet protect me so well it was amazingly vented Cons : not a lot of GoPro mounts options
I have the TLD & ride all day in it. It can get a bit hot on hot days. Only thing I find with the TLD is on muddy rides the mud comes in the front (foodgap) & came go in your mouth. Putting a camera on the front stops it. I would like to try out the ISX next
I dig the new 100% helmet and the pie hole accessibility is good. You should spend a day with all them and tell us about comfort, weight on your noggin and ventilation.
For everyone looking for that kind of helmet. I recommend go to your local shop and try them. I was buying helmets via internet successfully both full face and open face. I measure the IXS Trigger, the Fox Proframe and Leatt DBX 4.0 also tried Giro Switchblade. I wanted a Giro and plan to buy one. I went to the shop and it was completely disaster. Ruin my ears after 4 tries and was hot just wearing it the shop. Jaw was moving around like crazy. Between other I didnt feel difference in weight and breathability. Maybe they all are DH certified but I will not trust IXS in DH situation. Its nothing wrong with them, the jaw is stiff but it gives impression of a helmet for kid, girl, light athlete or just "in case". Fox feels more solid and what you cant see in the video when you look closer it gots better quality. I pay attention to another thing, for me the Leatt was the most comfortable so I bought one and I didnt plan at all. Before measuring it didnt catch my attention. After touching and trying on/off it just feels like in home. Go for a feel guys!
I have a stage and love it. Been using tld forever because they fit my head and they look good, but this one is just ridiculous. I never thought I'd put on a full face that genuinely feels like a half shell, but yeah somehow they did it. Also worth noting - when you broke the chin bar, did the helmet still do its job?
100% all the way. Wish it was a tad lighter but I love that it comes with spare pads and 4 different size cheek pads with the helmet to custom fit. Plus, I will not buy a helmet that doesnt have a d ring. I just wont.
How about build quality? I have IXS metis, full blown DH helmet. It's quite comfortable and quiet, but fox rampage pro seems to be better in every way apart from quietness(I can't hear my friends when they're talking to me).
Are all these full face helmets considered a one crash helmet like your standard cycling helmet? or can they take multiple low speed hits like a bmx helmet? Im assuming they are a single use helmet but iv never owned one yet so its something im curious about.
Love the fit and weight of my Proframe but the MIPS liner sometimes digs into my forehead. Really like the fidlock magnetic closure. Glad to see there are a lot more options these days. I don't like the dial adjustment compared to a snug fit. Bell, Fox helmets (moto and mtb) always seem to fit me very well, only had issues with my POC (too round for me). Will look at TLD if I need another.
XL Proframe was too small for me. TLD A2 fits me perfectly so do wonder about the Stage... Also a hearing attenuation test would be great! I’m slightly more interested in hearing my mates than I am in getting food all over my helmet.
I have an dirt bike 1080g helmet. I want to Dremel aeration holes/ weight savers. Motorcycle helmet are 100mph+ ready do you think I take a big risk messing with the helmet structural rigidity at these low speeds (I m not downhill omg just pretty fast xtc
My thoughts too but they did say Enduro in the title..so my next question was which DH helmets are as light as these...probably none but would be nice to hear some opinions
Missing Leatt DBX 4.0 in this test. Anyway, TLD seems too fragile to me, like a childrens toy. I need something for days in Alps as well as for bikeparks - I will probably go with Trajecta or Leatt. Love the fit and look of the Proframe but Im not sure about its safety :/
I just bought the dbx 4 a few weeks back. its so good. most comfortable ff helmet I've ever had and it looks sick! I'm 58.5cm and went with a medium, felt a little tight at first but after my first ride the foam compressed and now its perfect.
My son has the TLD Stage and loves it. But we've been looking at the Leatt DBX 4.0 very seriously. Can either of you compare the fit, weight, and comfort between these two lids??
StrikeForce MTB I tried both of them. Leatt is havier, more padded and feels more like a DH helmet. Fit was pretty tight. TLD fits very very well, very comfy but also very light...so light that I doubt about its safety performance. It is DH certified so it should be fine...but it would not give me a lot of confidence.
Which full face enduro helmet would you pick?
Tough... But I'd say 100% and use it for shuttle days and bike parks and stick with my half shell for everything else.
The TLD
I have a pro frame (have had it for over a year) and don’t see anything in the others I’d want.
Edit.. with the fastener I just take the helmet off rather then eating through it. Never occurred to me to try tbh.
Leatt DBX 4.0 is the best full face IMO
I already own that exact TLD, so I’m gonna go with that one. Eatability is on point, plus it’s already saved my head/face in a crash. I lived to ride another day. TLD for life.

Thanks for the recommendation. I think I'm gonna get that one, and I'm glad to hear you survived that, it sounds like a gnarly crash
This comment is spammed on every helmet video lol
lol I keep seeing this comment on every video proframe is featured in 😂
I’ve seen them snap in half from small impacts no way in hell you see me in a fox helmet or fox anything for that matter they suck
The TLD turned into a Proframe wow, you guys are magic af
Simon Daberooni lmao I thought I was trippin

I like the looks and general, “openness” of the Fox Proframe.
Just got an IXS and rode an entire day at my local bike park with temps between 25°C and 30°C, and although it got a little sweaty I barely noticed wearing it and had no ear or neck pain after an entire day! Love it! 😁🤙
I just obliterated my full face against a tree today so that's why I'm here. The price of these makes me cry though
Way cheaper than a brain transplant
Same
I know i might be a bit to late but with many companys you can get a crash replacement for 30-50% discount
You must think your life is pretty cheap then if that's what you think.
@@funkyguy99 I got a 7IDP project 23 anyways. Great helmet would recommend
light weight, great ventilation and good looking - PLUS the fidlock magnetic closing system. Number One Helmet for me is clearly the IXS TRIGGER FF 👍🏼😁🚵🏼♂️
It doesn't have mips though
@@guillemroda6977 the newest have
Coming from the Switchblade, the Trajecta feels super light.
Troy Lee Designs is on my shopping List 😀
IXS are smart! Just add 1 extra vent, makes it the most breathable helmet on the market by 1 vent, and they save on material as well!
Kurtis I make a helmet that is called the air. Aka nothing.
No one talking about how he just peeled a banana?? 2:10
the right way
lunatiy exactly
That is the correct way to peel a banana...
I currently go with the TLD. I've got a huge head. I've tried Fox before and the extra large helmets are tight for me. It really comes down to the fit of the helmet, cost and then weight. Thanks for the cool review!
Fellow big head here. The TLD does the trick.
same here i have 60-61cm head the xl/2xl is great :)
Wait so I have a small head, so do fox helmets fit smaller, so should I get a medium?
I owned a Proframe and the Trajecta. The proframe feels and looks less strong, also I've seen a lot of proframe's chinbars broken. Only thing I miss is the fidlock system. I love my 100%

The new IXS Trigger FF with mips in camo Black ist the goat !!
I used have a POC before. Now i use Bell super DH because of the detachable chin guard. Best decision i made so far.
how are the pocs? I wanted one but read that they are hot. is it true?
thank you

I like the new met parachute with mips yet to headbutt anything nice comfy and breathable
Killer video gents! I've been thinking about grabbing a helmet like this for a while so this is rad!
We can definitely help you out with that.
I have the TLD & ride all day in it.

You guys should do a video on half shells too
4:26 8:16 you mixed both helmets
Well this is awkward...
He ready didn't want the 7/11 burrito
But both helmets had the same results
I dig the new 100% helmet and the pie hole accessibility is good. You should spend a day with all them and tell us about comfort, weight on your noggin and ventilation.
We rode all of them and went over our pro's and con's that came from on trail testing :)

New intro is pretty lit
I have that exact Ltd helmet love it
You guys are crazy! Hahaha. Thanks for the awesome review. Don't think I'm sticking a banana through my new IXS.
this was such a helpful video. thankyou
No beer bottle test?
Asking the real questions...
Ate the banana in the proper direction, but didn’t see you get the seed out on the first one? That’s Hardcore bro! 😂👊🏼 very funny video!🔥
What about the bell super?
i've started using my proframe for trailrides. fantastic helmet
100% all the way. Wish it was a tad lighter but I love that it comes with spare pads and 4 different size cheek pads with the helmet to custom fit. Plus, I will not buy a helmet that doesnt have a d ring. I just wont.
I use a fox proframe and i find its the perfect hemet for doing everything
That Trajecta is sweet. Would definitely go for that
I love mine
Great video! thanks so much
The naruto run got me!!!🤣🤣🤣
Was set on getting a Fox Proframe but the IXS looks solid
Own a proframe! Really like it.
Love these brand comparison videos! do more for everything! I was expecting to see the Bell super though which is what I have
I appreciate the fact you were making eye contact while eating that banana... good laugh out of this video.

already bought the proframe
Am I the only one disappointed that you guys didn’t test yeetability?
Yeet!
I like the new intro
Under the visor of the Fox Proframe there is space to put a gopro or any Action cam ??
also suitable for motorcycle enduro?

Of these helmets, which ones are proper downhill helmets? No mention of ASTM F1952 ratings on any of them
My thoughts too but they did say Enduro in the title..so my next question was which DH helmets are as light as these...probably none but would be nice to hear some opinions
There is 1000$ worth of helmets on that table

I've never seen a banana peeled that way before
Best way to do it actually.
Lmao me too
i have never in my life seen someone eat a banana upside down before
Have been thinking about one of these to mount a GoPro under the chin for RUclips filming, and protection.
I like the fox rampage
You switched helmets for the tld burrito
We, like most, are living and learning.
Didn't think I'd watch a man wearing a bin bag eating a banana through a helmet hole today but here we are.
Can I use the the fox proframe for a downhill race??
i have a 2020 pro frame and its great
For the burrito the got the pro frame shot and the stage shot mixed the wrong way round😂
Lol you got us! 🤦♂️
Good job! Would you guys recommend something more DH specific but not too heavy with more protection than these in terms of certifications?
Sure why not? Just gonna be a bit hotter and if you're okay with that you're good to go. You save a lot more too since some DH helmets are cheaper.
Love Fox 🦊🤘🏻
U mixed up the 711 burrito test on the TLD stage and Fox Proframe
Should have included Bell Super DH
This was hilarious. Thanks for the laugh.
You can also eat a few rocks through the opening when you slam (;
is there any other brand helmet that have eat-ability beside these list?
I know a GoPro can mount to the chin of the Fox, but how about the TLD?
what do u think about the fox rampage 2020?
If you're taking the time to eat what's so inconvenient about taking your helmet halfway or all the way off?
I think they did this more for the comedic aspect lol
Listen to your helmet.
The best helmet is the one I don't have the money to buy.
Can you do a Convertible helmet review/comparison?
Would be nice to see the Leatt DBX 4
why is there no fullface with a removeable chinguard?
Anyone know if the leatt DBX 4.0 is worth it?

trajecta baby

what about the giro switchblade?
the Proframe went 2 times for the eatability test
What was the weight on the fox ? Felt.like you just couldn't wait to get to the random eatability test you forgot the weight. Lol
are all of these chinbar detachable ?
No
iam getting that proframe for christmas
The reason why he crashed at :33 was because that chick said "yeeww"
