    Just as a heads up, the Trigger FF does in fact have a movable visor that will fit some goggles. Keep Pedaling!

      Yep, Seth here. I guess I should have given it a bit more "oomf" when trying to move it. I apologize for the mistake. With this addition, the IXS Trigger FF definitely ranks super high on my personal helmet list. Light, adjustable, tons of venting, and dang good looking. This ticks all the boxes! Unless you are specifically wanting something with MIPS-like tech, I highly recommend this helmet. My head shape tends to be a bit tall and narrow (not round), and this helmet fit like a dream with better coverage for my particular head shape. I am planning on picking up this helmet for my personal use and will update with a more in-depth review after spending more time with it. Cheers, S!

      Hi. I’m right in the cross over between the two sizes for the Trigger. 58cm circumference. Should I go for the larger or smaller size?

    It is also worth mentioning that FOX has three sets of sponge inserts to make the fitting better. So you do not have eg. BOA but you can regulate the size by changing the pading

    I love my IXS Trigger FF. I find myself using it more than I “should” be using a full face, but there are really no penalties. Unbelievably light weight, ultra comfortable because of the dial retention system, Fidlock strap, and breathes like a regular trail helmet. And yes, the visor is a little stiff at first to flip up for goggles, but wears in after just a few rides.

    Nice brief run through, but maybe you could have mentioned the dual density foam of the TLD Stage. That really interests me after suffering concussion from a Poc Tectal Race Spin with no visible damage to the helmet. I think multi density foams will be something we see a lot more of in more helmets, if indeed it works as well I hope it does.

    • @jensonusabicycles

      Dual density foams show a lot of promise and we're excited to see more research and testing on their effectiveness in protecting our brains.

    Should i use the full helmet for Electric bicycle?

    • @benh9350
      @benh9350 4 года назад +5

      I think it's a good idea to use a full face helmet anytime you are riding anything. I just placed an order for the 100% Trajecta in red and white because I'm getting and electric unicycle, the MTen3 and I think I'll like that helmet. I have invested a lot of time and money into my brain and I really don't want to take a fall and smash my face or head on the street, so while half helmets offer some protection a full face helmet is better. And I like the added protection of the mips like systems... Yeah you probably will not die if you crash with a half helmet but you may knock out some teeth or brake your jaw, and that can't be fun. Same thing goes for doing anything at speed without pads, protection is used for a reason. I see people riding bikes with a typical bike helmet and around here some folks ride completivlly, but they don't wear a full face helmet for the sake of speed, but again if you hit something at even 10 mph that can mess you up. Just things I consider.

    Hey, so I ride a gravel bike on both road and off road. I recently crashed on a paved parkway trail face first into a fence. Would you recommend a full face helmet for riding on the road? Would it inhibit my peripheral vision and hearing? I want to be safe as possible, but not sacrifice any other senses

    The Fox helmet is crap. I was looking for a new helmet and during my search I have seen multiple cases of bad quality control and bad customer service. Such a shame when good companies sell out..

    • @nathandroger3076

      what does bad customer service have to do with the helmet..

    • @ItsATrap614
      @ItsATrap614 4 года назад

      @@nathandroger3076 I said there were a few cases of bad quality control (helmets coming apart at the seams and/or breaking during regular use) which were then not handled correctly by Fox's customer service.
      With a premium brand like Fox you'd expect them to take care of you in case of a faulty product, wouldn't you? So yes, customer service certainly matters especially with high end products such as this helmet.
