- During a U.S. Senate hearing, Acting Secret Service Director Ronald Rowe was grilled by senators about the attempted assassination of former President Donald Trump.
The person in charge of allowing Trump on the stage while a suspect was lost should be fired for starters.
Basically, the entire crew taht served that day and everyone involved in planning need to be immediately demoted and assigned desk duty until it is fully investigated to see if any of them get to keep their jobs and keep out of prison. Why assume that "probably" there was no criminal conspiracy involved? Or even gross negligence - that is also criminally actionable?

It's a nice way of saying that it's beyond their skills. I'd say it's beyond their motivation to actually worry about good faith execution of their sworn duties. Not in every case, but certainly all of the planners and team leaders at every level should be fired and then investigated to see if they need to be criminally charged. None of these people should be allowed to protect any official on behalf of the USA, ever again. And we have too many people on the payroll in the Federal Executive Branch. Why keep losers and marginal "security" agents of any kind?
