This New Ram RHO with 540hp for 70k, just completely ruined the day for all the US Ford Stealerships who are adding 10k to 25k markups on the New Ranger Raptor. Likewise, Toyota is in the same boat with the New 65k Tacoma TRD Pro.
You fail to realize they'll try to do the same to these lol
Andre at TFL said that Ram told him that they are going to make as many RHO's as are ordered there is not going to be a very limited small amount being manufactured. Also, already on the RHO forums some dealerships offering orders at below MSRP👌
But yet toyota hold their value and will last longer so it wouldn't matter
For what it is intended the RHO makes more sense than the TRX.

@johnblack4915 yeah, but when you limit the top speed due to tires, just wondering what's the point of it. 100 mph on sand would be 100 mph in either.... so for what it is supposed to be, the RHO just makes the most sense.
@Connor-zb4uo I'm not him bit my homies got one. He's has a short city drive to work and uses his trx as a daily. He gets 11mpg on average.

I love the way this thing looks and ram interiors are waaaaayyyy nicer than the competition. Buuuuuuuuut I’m a little worried about the idea of pushing an FCA engine to the limit for higher output
It's not an "FCA" engine. Stellantis is the parent company and Chrysler owns the most stock. Not to mention the hurricane is a Chrysler design and produced in the states.

I do like the truck a lot however and sub 5 seconds to 60 in any full size is no joke. All that and only 5k more than a mid size trail hunter 😂.

@@uGotGot1618 no it is not. Stellantis is an entirely different parent company that owns many other brands. Fiat was one brand that owned a few others. The difference is Chrysler owns more stock in Stellantis effectively making them in charge.

Honestly, I really like it. For 70k it's a great package, and being an inline 6 I'm sure that engine has a TOOOONNN of headroom in terms of future tuneability. Can't wait to see it in action
Honestly, I completely agree; I like that it gives people an option between the Raptor and the Raptor R. It's sad to see people shit on it. I think it is a good idea.
Hurricane "Cat X" crate engine is capable of 1000 Hp/Tq, so yeah, this seems de-tuned for reliability, perhaps. Someone get on the horn to Gale Banks. This truck is wild.
Hopefully it’s Cummins new engine that can be gas or diesel or even hydrogen all with the same block and parts and they just change the fuel system and stroke of your pistons. Game changing engine!
@@lisagravells802 This engine has nothing to do with Cummins, but generally whenever any car company designs an Inline 6 they strike gold. I can’t think of any modern day inline 6 that’s bad

Honestly I’m all on board, this seems like a great package for a reasonable price for what you get, and imo that’s one of the best looking stock trucks on the market.

Inline 6 engines are naturally smoooooooth running and long lasting. I’ll take this I6 over the V6 Raptor any day.

I'm a part of the Mopar community and Had the wonderful opportunity to talk to Timothy Kuniskis head at Dodge and the stuff he told me and others was shocking and a wonderful plan to keep the hemi engines and the new inline six as purchasable crate engines till 2035 he also said it's a done deal and 5 well known engine companies will start building them in late 2024 to reduce the price of them by thousands of dollars so that dodge owners have access for decades so my word of advice is Do not listen to the news these days because I'm not sure if it's they're just badly informed or make lies up on purpose because The Mopar community is having welcome improvements and major growth, now I know regulation will remove gas engines from cars and some trucks being sold at dealerships and that goes for all brands however Dodge is the only company besides Toyota fighting back and will keep gas engines on the shelves so shambles no growth yes!!!

@@revelare_xvii6269 they were late to make a move was their problem. They needed to make and update their engine options similarly to ford and chevy to keep the epa happy(I4-V6 models)and a aluminum block V8 to help out with emissions that helps them keep their V8s longer + helps costs making them. The I6 is not a bad move and has what it needs from factory to have power thrown at it, dodge needs to hurry up and release cars with these engines so tuners can show what they're capable cause all people are doing is not giving it a chance before we've even seen them do anything to them yet or see what kind of power these can make to really call it a bad move from them.

It’s a TRX chassis with the Hurricane motor. Same fenders, same bedside, identical suspension and wheels to the TRX. Should be neat!
Only thing I didn’t like about the outgoing TRX was it did feel heavy off road compared to the Raptor. Hopefully this will change that feeling.

I called a dealership to order one and according to the guy I talked to the cost came out to $91,000 with the level 1 package, moonroof, sidesteps and the bed equipment group. They had a $5000 markup. For that much I’d rather get a used TRX.
Or any older v8 truck and upgrade suspension, wheels and whatever yoy want.

I mean I'm all for it. More HP than the raptor 8k cheaper. The trx competes with the raptor r. I'm all about it. 71k base. Pretty killer deal specially with mid sized truck prices.
I love the more squashed front and side profile. Looks just like the 1998 generation Rams.
Looks great. I love that it doesn't have that RAM washing machine-style dial shifter.
And unlike the Raptor, you can select different gauge displays! Hopefully that new turbo 6 is reliable. 👍

I think RNO makes more since than RHO when it comes to designating this truck as the Rhino! Anyways... this is a smart move for RAM since they are losing market share and need to reduce the pricing on their truck lineup.

Bugs the hell out of me, how they keep saying Ford and Ram compete still as the R is the fighter to the TRX, and now the RHO is the competitor to the Raptor V6, but Ford was the still the originator of all of this back in 2010 with the OG Baja super truck v8 raptor.
If there’s that much sand falling I think of all the road salt getting in there and rusting it out.
the 3.5 ecoboost is light years ahead of this dodge I6 they have the power limited for a reason they could easily make the same or more power but it isn't needed for off road use a simple tune will make more than the dodge advertises and actually be reliable
$8k less than a V6 Raptor. Ford FINALLY has a real competitor in the full size Baja themed truck market.
By specs it is trx 4.5 rho 4.6 0-60 qt mile 12.9 trx rho 13.1 both have 118mph top speed so kinda stock to stock it’s a replacement honestly
I say the name recognition is what the manufacturer wants. More vehicles more obtainable by the middle class truck buyer. The TRX for $120,000 is big money. Most people cannot afford that.. 540 HP is good power and can satisfy the majority of truck enthusiasts for sure.. Stellantis made the new RAM RHO more reachable for many people.. I feel they made a good decision. IN the past the Raptor is less expensive than the TRX, which is why you see more of them on the road. The new RAM RHO will level the playing field for sure!! I can tell you or experience.The interior in the Ram trucks is far superior to the ford...
