Thanks for the video gives me an idea of how the kit works. On another note, I would have made that lady pay for a full body shop repair.
I agree. I would have the lady’s insurance company to pay for the full repair.
Once you finish with the procedure, you need to start the second procedure to make it all new. You need to wet sand it, and then use compound to smooth it. Then use a polishing agent to polish and finish with waxing. You need very fine sand paper for the wet sanding and you need an electric tool to do the polishing for best results.
Thanks for the video and help me to do my first touch up. Got a small chip on the hood and on the passenger side door. Very small but I think it chipped off the clear coat and paint and I see them ‘white’.

Thanks! Is the kit just good for one paint repair session? Would you need more brushes, etc for more sessions? I'm getting my first Tesla soon. I was just thinking about PPF vs other ways to take care of paint today. How many miles have you put on your Tesla and what is the general condition of the paint? Seems like most RUclips videos push PPF since they tend to be perfectionist about cars. Could you do a short video of expounding on your opinion on PPF vs paint repair kit for people who aren't perfectionist about their Tesla but want to be responsible to keep it free from rust (filling in exposed metal due to rocks, etc before salt gets into it) and looking reasonably good? Are you planning on doing more traveling this summer?
There’s plenty of paint and blending solution to use again. The small paintbrush should be ok to use again. I’m close to 29,000 miles and since PPF wouldn’t protect against big scratches, I decided to go without. I figure it’d be unnecessary time and cost to get. With or without, I’d still probably have to do the paint touch ups. Also, I hope to do some more traveling and plan to share what I learn.
@BrianKehm Thanks for the reply. How is that 2 piece glass roof cover working for you? I'll probably buy it if you still like it. Probably drive with just the front half more than the back. Should that work OK with it staying up without the back half? Which video did you mention it in so I can get correct name, etc. of the product?
@@brianjohnson2650 I didn’t end up getting a roof window cover, just side and back window covers. I’d either wake up with the sun out or have a blanket over my head to block light.

Maybe it’s just me but those don’t look deep enough for paint repair. I think you could have polished that out. As a former PPF Tesla owner and current car has no PPF I’m about to install my own PPF this time. It’s definitely worth the money even if you just get it for the front end. TEMU sells an entire body kit for less than $600 it’s worth the time and money to learn it myself. Even if you mess up its steal cheaper to try it again lol

You probably didn't need the paint repair it looks like it was just the clear coat that got scratches that makes it look like a scratch, you could just have buffed it out and it would polish the clear coat again to make it look like new
