The very reason Willie can never be pigeonholed, his foundations are as broad as music itself.

You’re right! He’s great at whatever he does! He even does great as an actor. I saw him portray a dentist 🦷 on a western movie. I also saw him portray a Texas Ranger on Miami Vice. Your comment brought back those memories.

As a Percussionist I favor the Drum Solo most of all. The Drummer kicked ass!!!

this record will be a classic for the next 50 years for sure. on first encounter, on might think 'corny'....but like a good spaghetti sauce, it is simple, timeless, tasty and good medicine. timeless beauty. free willie. now, let's free wynton from the tie. but i must say, he sounds broad and vibrant. thank you mr fabiodiamante

Does anybody know....what's that little saxaphone thing? I'm guessing it's a clarinet in a sax "body" for a different tone. Also, does anybody know the name of the musician playing it?

I am asking myself the same question. He is Walter Blanding and I think the instrument is another version of a soprano sax.

This song predates Hank Williams version by at least 50 years. It is associated with Buddy Bolden (legendary New Orleans jazz musician).

yea hank williams made it famous, thats how i probably got here, lookin up different versions... clarence williams wrote it i think. my comment was a reply to "CANNIBAL CORPSEE!!!!" to which i was wondering if they covered...i guess i could have looked it up for myself but i decided to make a pointless comment.....sorry.
