- Drivelapse video starting on Autoroute 730 on the south shore of Montreal and then heading easterly through the southern suburbs of Montreal before Autoroute 30 ends at the eastern edge of Sorel-Tracy.
Nice work! It’s good to finally see a video of A-30 further east, having only been as far east as A-10.
Very nice drive!
Pretty cool drive. I've always been intrigued by Quebec's signs and traffic control devices (liked the blue drums they put out lol) Similar but different
The blue drums are different. I think they were specifically for Montreal’s REM project. That’s the only place I recall seeing them used. Thanks for the comment.
First and a great drive! Have you visited all 48 US states not including Hawaii and Alaska?
I have indeed visited all of the lower 48 states. I don’t have road footage from all of them however.
A-30 ends there... But returns in Bécancour!!*
*Not a freeway, just a fast straight 2 lane highway. Might get upgraded if the EV plants from Ford and GM materialise and the city booms.
The orphaned stretch in Becancour is an interesting stretch of road. Particularly the unused carriageways through the A-55 interchange.
It's cool to see a video of A-30 east of Candiac. Tbh, the secton of A-30 between A-930 & A-20 is overall pretty bad. I also can see that WB A-30 traffic is pretty slow. i believe it's because of the construction going on when the video was filmed. If A-30 was widened to a mix of 6 to 8 lanes throught that section, traffic would've been much fast. Also I feel like that the interchanges with A-10 & A-20 are pretty outdated as well, especially with A-20, as most traffic uses that interchange to go more directly from between Quebec City & St-Hyacinthe to Ontario.
Also, have you seen that in Southern Quebec we had a huge storm with a lot of snow fallen? I t mostly touched the Montérégie, Estrie & the big region of Montreal & it's suburbs throught Lanaudière & the Laurentides, as well as a part of Southern Centre-du-Québec. at its peak over 100 000 power outrages were confirmed. Mostly between Montreal & Sherbrooke, as it's where the storm went harder
Hopefully the traffic on Autoroute 30 is improved with the addition of reserved lanes between A-20 and A-10. The A-20 interchange improvements will also definitely help. Thanks for the comment
@@AsphaltPlanet1 However, the date hasn't been announced yet. Right?
i'm not sure to be honest.
