Loving this video! This reminds me about my trip to Ottawa and Montreal in the future. I love watching this video - in the comfort of my own home. it's like you're actually there.
The Turcot is quite the mess. 110 km/h is better than 100 but still too slow for me on a road like this. This was a really fun drive, thanks for sharing.
Some of you Canadians need to know that Ontario Highway 417 and Quebec Autoroute 40 are part of Trans Canada Highway and are both main routes because of that. Providing an access between Ottawa and Montreal is so cool in there.
Beautiful drive, looks like! I can tell it's an older one because Ottawa's population has now surpassed 1 million, as opposed to the 935,000 when you visited. Do you also have a video route from Ottawa to Toronto?
The Autoroutes of Quebec and the 400-series highways of Ontario are great in design, nothing compared to the Interstate Highway System in the US. Traffic management on both highway systems in my opinion are neutral. I wish there are more plannings for those highway systems in the future.
they have a planned by-pass alignment north of the existing highway, but I doubt they ever build it. West Montreal is pretty well served with A-40 and A-30.
Curl turn manifold ok driving nice limited speed assign by Montreal to Ottawa pathway follow journey entertaining but careful precision accuracy on turn required
@@trulylondon1 I think he means the roads then selves. Quality. They use cheap asphalt mixed with salted roads and constant fluctuating temperatures means early wear and tare

Hopefully more sections of freeway get a speed limit increase. I'm not sure we'll ever see 120 in Ontario, but 110 is certainly a huge improvement.
Very enjoyable ride! Also quite good lane discipline throughout the entire journey
This is quite familiar route to me. When I lived in Canada, I used this road to go Montreal and Quebec City

16:20 I really like stretches of road like this where it's completely surrounded by trees and whatnot.
LowerYharnam I agree. Very few roads in Ontario have this wide of a median.
11:43 do you think if the A-9 was constructed would be useful?
I think A-9 would have been tremendously useful. Especially if A-50 were to be extended further east.
Canadian highways are sooooo awsome!!!!
Ther are bad highways and you are a popo pepe

Surely, they were successful since the 2nd half of the previous century, but in this century, as population grows, traffic volumes increase.
@bradeblo you have the nerve
nice vid are planing to do the usa yet?
i have a bunch of videos from the US online, but there will be more released as well.
Couldn't you have taken A-20 to A-30 north before switching to the A-40?
A-20 has a bunch of traffic signals through Dorion, just east of the A-30 interchange, so I tend to avoid A-20 through there.
Ah, gotcha.
Are they going to fix that one day?

Distance between Montreal and Ottawa is nearly 200 km. I'm pretty sure your route exceeds 200 km.
Why is this only on 360p
HD is now available.
sometimes it takes a while to process my videos, so they initially a released as 360p until youtube can get around to processing them.
I thought that it only happened with me, in Brazil, to have a traffic congestion on film because of a traffic accident.
it's happened to me a few times.
oh and i forgot do u ever ever Alaska or Hawaii ???? :)
i doubt i'll ever film in either Alaska or Hawaii. I have been to Hawaii though.
"ouest"?
french for west
@@AsphaltPlanet1 much thanks
If they named the 417 after Prime Minister Trudeau, they should sign the damned road!
More like Pierre Trudeau and was also the father of Canada's current PM Justin Trudeau.

Montreal is a city with the most freeways in Canada that outclassed Toronto, Ottawa and Quebec City.
