Thanks for the video! Like any guy I pretty much disregard instruction manuals. The water filter on this was easy, they've been in the same place for years on refrigerators, I was mystified about the air filter part though and now know where to look.
Thank you for demonstration & detailed instructions. Please video your unwrapping filters with both doors closed. Your inside temperatures on refrigerator & freezer side will drop several degrees.
NICE! 1. I like to include the YEAR when I mark the air filter, so I can feel really guilty for letting it go so long! LOL 2. My model does not include a water dispenser, the manual that I downloaded (which covers multiple models) doesn't say how to "purge the water" in my case. I guess that I toss out a bunch of ICE instead.
Jessica, How about reading the manual? Turn off ice maker before removing, if it cycles while the filter is out water will come out of the open connection.
Dinora Osuna Hello! That is NOT a crazy question! I am a big fan of “pellet” (sometimes called “nugget”) ice cubes because they are exactly what you described, soft and crunchy. I do not know of a filter that can create that kind of ice cube in your existing refrigerator. However, I do know there are stand-alone ice makers you can buy that make those specific kinds of ice cubes. Unfortunately, they do come with a hefty price tag, I believe. Here is an ice maker i’ve seen that I believe makes the kind of cubes you may be referencing: Opal Nugget Ice Maker www.amazon.com/dp/B0751KDVTP/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_x7DeAbQ8XA9HB.

I also have a Frigidaire Gallery refrigerator. The fridge does not actually make the water colder. It is the temperature it is as it comes out of your cold water line. According to the manual, add ice. It sucks, I was disappointed in this too.
Evidently there are many different styles and not one looks like mine .. thanks Frigidare didn't come with one so I won't use one .. I don't care about making America Great Again but I would like a decent explaination of how their products work .

But we can’t flush the water out if we do not have a water dispenser like that, I only have the ice maker. I can’t flush that?
I would suggest dumping the ice tray, allowing it to refill again, then dumping it again before retrieving ice from your maker.
