What a great trip! I'm Scottish on my father's side (Hutchison surname), so love anything to do with Scotland - especially bagpipes! We're hoping to visit in 2026.
Its great seeing Tim, Marj and the Troopy again, I wish I got to see Mustard in the flesh. I had my Range Rover Classic at the Classic Cruise last year but it overheated on the first hill so we had to leave it behind and come back to it later. Tim and Marj were very kind to let me ride in the Troopy with them for the rest of that day and I had a great time with them.
Born in Dorset in the south west of England and living in the midlands since I was three years old, now a long distance lorry driver for a living, there’s nowhere better in the U.K. than Scotland, it’s an absolutely beautiful part of the U.K. particularly the further north you go , fantastic part of England.
We am thrilled to follow your journey through the Highlands. My families roots are also Scottish and we traveled some of the same roads you filmed. My wife and I are overlanders but our trip to Scotland followed the main roads from Edinburgh north. Thank you for sharing your story.
Awesome video Kevin, enjoyed this one here. As I myself am from Hungarian & German decent ,I truly would love to someday /somehow go to visit my own “ homelands” and see where my bloodlines originate. My grandmother on my mother’s side used to make her homemade “ Shepard’s pie” and we as kids would scarf it up at dinner like there was no tomorrow. We ate Haggis , and Blood pudding as well , along with a bunch of things I’ve long forgotten the names of in my 64-1/2 years of life . Enjoy your time buddy , and soak it ALL in . Thanks as Always for sharing your stories and adventures with us all. Looking forward to the next installment here . Also want to add that if you & the family will be at next years Flagstaff Arizona Overland Expo my Mrs & I will definitely keep a look out for you as I would truly like to meet you all in person and thank you personally for all you and your family do & share. Always a pleasure to see your work & passion . C-ya , and host a glass or two of whatever the drink of the day is for us . 😎👍
What a fantastic episode, it really had it all. The sense of adventure and the scenery was spectacular. I run the same Ironman 270 awning on my FJ . It has been great. Cheers
Ha! Paul! Got to work for a couple days at West Coast when I was there in February! Great group of guys! What a cool opportunity to hit those trails! I definitely need to go back and get to Scotland. You convinced me haha!
I have only ever been to Scotland once and that was brief. Even though my grandmother on my mother's side was a Glaswegian, but I am Welsh. Only Welsh. Forever Welsh. Hopefully, you will make a trip to Wales one day too, although we are a tiny country, but we are bigger than Luxembourg, Andorra, Liechtenstein, San Marino, Monaco and The Vatican!! 🙂
