If possible I'd love to see a named list of the stopping points (location names) on the video description throughout the series so I can follow along on a Google map.. I always find it fascinating to see how far you travel on the journeys! Thanks
Good to have you back, I’ve been watching you guys since the first Mackenzie expedition to the second, the Central America, the South America. And other expeditions, it’s so great to see you in my country. 🇿🇦
Awesome Theme.....All this guys in an important moment of their ives....I´m in the same situation right now so.....I have great expectations about these conversations. Love the music, frames and angles, amera movement, and all this is thanks to the great team of production. Thank you for remind us that the human spirit is still ALIVE!!!! Nos vemos en la vía!
I've loved XOverland since day 1, the very beginnings. With this particular series I, too, will make a deep connection with as I'm "finding myself" as well. The kid adventurer that's trapped within this adult body. It's the simple things in life that matter the most. The little moments in each and every day, that make the memories that last a lifetime. I love the material, the narrating, the videography. Everything! Thank you!
So glad you're back. I watch all your expeditions, but being South African, I particularly enjoy it when you share your journey and thoughts here. Hope you have a wonderful, memorable trip. I will be watching every episode. Thank you so much for sharing.
I have been to Kruger 100's of time. After whatching this, I'm humbled to realize how blessed we are. XO I love these African adventurs. Your cinematography is simply magnificent. A brilliant production!
0:40 I wonder how many people noticed the drone fly over of the "Poop Station " 💩🤭🤣 The Africa series are my favorite. 👍 Even more than the Pan-American Highway down to Patagonia starting in Columbia series. And that was a banger💪
Cinematic, yes. But only to be watched on a mobile phone... My TV seems to show more black space than film. The format is problematic since the Norwegian Trip 🤷🏽♀️
@@ReversusLaxus yeah it's the aspect ratio they film or edit in, I'm guessing to make it seem more cinematic or possibly to be better on a bigger screen in the future, I'm not sure. looks good on my laptop too.
@@ReversusLaxus Yeah it's probably just the aspect ratio they film or edit in I'm guessing. Not sure why they do it that way, maybe just for more cinematic effect, or possibly better on a large screen in the future, I'm not sure. It looks cool on my laptop.
My wife and I spent 10 days in Kruger on our first self drive African Safari. Man, this makes me want to go back so bad! Cheers to you guys for bringing us along.
If I ever won the lottery this is what I would be doing the rest of my life. Not talking about just the overlanding but making this a career. You look like you are truly living the best life! Just came across the channel today. Thanks for letting me live vicariously through your lens!
I am surely glad you are back after your whirlwind tour the last time. Africa is a continent you have to spend time in as every minute the scenery changes. When you go on a game drive, for instance, you might see a leopard but the car that is 30 meters behind you will not see it. Welcome back!
Because of XO, yes you guys, I just crossed Canada from QC to go in BC with 2 friends for the Mackenzie Trail now I have to back to Southern Africa🤷🏼♂️. My wife is rolling her eyes right now 😂
Not even through the introductions and already amazed at the quality, smoothness of the creative transitions from one team member to the next, and incredibly drawn into the coming adventure!
What a challenging beginning, guys! Great to see so many animals. Africa is amazing! It will be interesting to learn what you discover on your inner journeys as well...
We are back baby...! Great first episode. Welcome back to the continent XOverland. I see what you're doing with those anamorphic lens flares. They look tastyyyyyyy 😉
Being from South Africa, and moved to the USA two years ago, this makes me miss home A LOT! I can smell that wood burning for the braai, I can smell the meat on the braai, I can taste it. I may not be in South Africa now, but South Africa will always course through my veins. The sounds of South Africa are unmatched to anything. The birds, the animals, the wild life… sigh. I miss home :(
It is such a joy to watch Expedition Overland. The show is not only entertaining but very informative. Since finding your show I have been looking at a lot of other shows like it. Yours is the best as you inform the audience what you are doing and how you got there. I am an old lady and have always wanted to visit many of the places you are traveling in. My health will not allow me to do so and your shows brighten my life.
I loved the last African series. I am glad you all went back. I love that you all are focusing on growing as men in a group of same aged men with same and different problems. I would love to do this with a group of women for the same reasons. Thank you for your vision of Africa.
I am a big fun of ExpeditionOverland! Thank you all for taking me virtually to these majestic places ranging from the very Northern Alaska to the Southern Africa, Northern Europe of Nordic to South America. Thank you again for sharing your experiences and expertise!
Now THIS is Overlanding. 99% of RUclips Overlanding channels are "weekend Warriors" at best. You guys set the Bar.... very , very HIGH! Keep on, Keepin' on!
And there’s nothing wrong with that. Some people don’t have the means and ways to leave for weeks or months on end to pursue adventure. Overlanding has become this deepening spiral of keeping up with the Jones’. Buy the latest and greatest 4x4. Outfit it with $75k in modifications and equipment. See the world! I’m not saying there’s anything wrong with this either, but it hardly represents what the majority of folks can and will do. The point is to get out and seek adventure, whether that’s in the heart of Africa with a crew and hundred of thousands of dollars in vehicles and equipment, or in your own backwoods with 88 Dodge Dakota and bald tires. Don’t let the misconstrued definition of overlanding take away from its purpose. Sincerely, A “weekend warrior” who found salvation and inner peace through overlanding after struggling for years with PTSD and alcohol abuse. Safe trails and happy tales friend!
What an introduction to what surely is going to be an epic adventure. WELCOME BACK Awesome rigs, with what sounds like an awesome crew, accompanied by some awesome local legends....... Bring it......... Thanks for the share 🇿🇦👀👍👍
Nice. We are staying in South africa 🇿🇦. We don't use gas fire starters. We do use our old truck to go to the same places. Nice, I'm love the storytelling.
After the first season you convinced my wife and I to book a trip to Africa. I watched this episode on the treadmill in a private game reserve which backs onto Kruger. Made it even more special being in country. 👍
Welcome BACK! Loving this channel. Following from AFRICA😂. Already laughing with you all like am there in the trip too. Great content, plus we learn a lot about our environment, offloading, preparation, gear, fire, planning... I love especially the Africa series! Come ALL THE TIME! Welcome home and feel at home!
Welcome back. It's great to see you back in SA again. Great episode and please keep them coming. Stay safe and one love. Please don't forget to send some ❤ to Roan overlanding. And Edward bath.
Oh my, what a video! I binged watched every the Africa Series and now it's the Return to Africa series! cannot wait for the rest of the series to come out! I am so in interested in the overloading scene and myself I do more outdoorsy stuff using my own two legs, hiking, and big adventures with everything you need packed into a 80L hunting pack, but I really want to get into the overloading stuff.
Seeing the excitement on the team’s faces I realise how lucky I am to be able to visit Kruger at will. A recommendation for your next trip ( and I know there will be one), visit Mana Pools and Matsuadona in Zimbabwe. With no fences around the camps and frequent big game visits ablution trips after dark interesting.
Great intro ... I did find it amusing how you listed the dangers and potential issues ahead and realised you were staying below the Limpopo river ... But you described the dangers of being north of the Zambezi. A little known fact, Africa starts north of the Limpopo river ...
So stoked to see you guys back here in SA Saw you guys in Struisbaai last year December at the LP gas center there, I saw your trucks and I was like is Toyota testing the Tacomas here in South Africa 😂, thought I will come pop in there on my way back, but when I returned you guys were gone. Weeks later I came across your channel on You Tube. I will never be missing a episode of you guys adventures.
I love this show, I am from South Africa and will love to meet you guys if you are still in South Africa. Will keep on watching and following this channel..
I'm a little late to the party, I r=didn't realize you guys uploaded a video of this trip. I really liked that opening scene, it was done so perfectly, not sure who is the creative mind behind stuff like that but job well done ! Cheers from New Brunswick, CAN.
Welcome back. Tiger fishing on Saturdays at Horseshoe bend for R20 in Makuya back in the late 90’s when I did my post grad in the park and early 2000’s when I worked there, was magical. Used to take some wors and we would braai it on the rocks at the river while some Elephant cows and their calfs come down to drink. Man I miss the place. Hope you tried some sour plums if it was in season when you were there. Need to get back to that magical place.
I emailed months ago to see if our small coffee roastarie could supply your coffee for your expeditions but never heard back. Still stoked to see this next adventure. Been hooked since the Netflix series during "lockdown"
Thank you for reaching out about that! We were all set for this one but we will reach out if we need some coffee for another trip. Thank you for your support!
We are back! Thank you for joining us for another series. Africa called us back for another round 🙌🏼
If possible I'd love to see a named list of the stopping points (location names) on the video description throughout the series so I can follow along on a Google map.. I always find it fascinating to see how far you travel on the journeys! Thanks

The Africa series are my favorite. 👍
Even more than the Pan-American Highway down to Patagonia starting in Columbia series. And that was a banger💪
This feels more like the old school XO we love, than the last few years' adventures.... feeling a bit of excitement for it.
That one shot intro was absolute perfection. 10/10. Cinematography perfection.
🙌
I was thinking the same thing.
Cinematic, yes. But only to be watched on a mobile phone... My TV seems to show more black space than film. The format is problematic since the Norwegian Trip 🤷🏽♀️

You can swear that this crew is going to battle with Russian army , the way they’re dramatising 😂😂😂😂
And then, they stay in South Africa, which is Africa LTE
My wife and I spent 10 days in Kruger on our first self drive African Safari. Man, this makes me want to go back so bad! Cheers to you guys for bringing us along.
Welcome back to Africa.
The filming is becoming better n better, keep it up.
Next episode to Africa plan on Kenya and you will never be disappointed .
Thank you! Kenya would be amazing!
The music, the shots, the adventure.....I have no words. So glad for another series you guys are killing it! Thank you 👍
You guys are like The Fellowship of the ring, led by South African Gandalf - Love this.

The route looks thrilling. I'm looking forward to seeing the rest of it. Next time come to Malawi via Botswana and Zambia. It's scenic.
