Great video again Christof. I'm doing solo trip in November on a similar route, also everything off the cuff, no bookings, so this episode was very helpful with additional info. Many Thanks!
What are the lime green birds with white cheeks and yellow throats? I try to look up the birds as I go along but no luck this time. Love seeing the desert landscape. It is raining here in the autumn in northern Alberta, Canada - quite a contrast.
Really enjoying your videos, and currently building up our 76 series for long trips. Is that an LAS snorkel? Did you note any difference in noise from the stock head at higher speeds?
Thanks David! Yup it’s an LAS. Didn’t specifically listen for a difference (and my cab has sound deadening installed). I changed the snorkel primarily because the factory unit is not sealed. getoutgo.co.za/79-series-build-page/
Great video. It sounds like a bucket of bolts in the cab, how does the cruiser compare to the fortuner for ride comfort? I know they both had aftermarket suspension.
Love the video, as always! Quick question, what brand rear view mirror/camera are you using and would you recommend? I am looking at buying one myself but reviews seem to be limited.
Great to be back in the Kalahari (and in our new build)!
29:12 never, i can not believe this silence. ❤❤❤, mental and spiritual healing.
Yup, the Kalahari has that effect
Greetings from Australia. The Kalahari is very similar to the Outback. Except for the wildlife. You have us feeling very homesick 🤙
Thanks! Wouldn’t mind doing the Canning myself!
Christoff, this was a wonderful episode. Pure peaceful bliss. Can’t wait to make it out to southern Africa one day.
Thanks David!
Brilliant, we used to camp in the Kalahari a minimum of 6 times a year for 16 years,❤
Thanks David, it’s my favourite place on earth!

Great video 🔥
Thank you!
Hope to see you in a Namibia very soon ❤❤❤
Still need to visit the South of Namibia 👍
We stayed at Name Pan in Feb 24, sad to see how little grazing is left. Desperately need rain.
yup, it's very dry!
Fantastic bush! But it looks like the Aussie bush minus the flys and Roos!
💯 + lions 😂
There are always flies!!
Great video Christof! What an amazing trip!!! Will you be doing any reviews on those Lighforce Lights? Thanks
Thank you! Yes, I’ll include it in a vehicle walk-around 👍
@@GetOutGO Awesome - Thanks a mil! Looking at upgrading and like the idea of having both spot and flood! Thanks
Ek moes dit pause op die leeu segment en toevallig net waar die leeu wyfie reg in die kamera kyk. Jou tegniek raak nou regtig goed Christoff
Dankie baie!
awesome video. what software did you use to make the animated map path?

Those are swallow-tailed Bee-eaters. Love the Kalahari desert but wouldn’t mind seeing Canada as well 😉

This actually felt about the same but I know less is breaking in the Cruiser… the corrugations on these cutlines are next-level!
Great video! What is that video effect with the scorpion at 30:38?
Thanks! No effect, scorpions glow under a UV light. We carry one of these lights to spot them at night
Love the video, as always!
Quick question, what brand rear view mirror/camera are you using and would you recommend? I am looking at buying one myself but reviews seem to be limited.
Thanks! I’m using the OneX mirror and camera. It’s early days but it’s worked well so far and I haven’t had any issues with it.
@@GetOutGO many thanks for the prompt response. Will have a look at that product
Would like to know how you get your permits?
Greetings from Namibia
I’ve added contact details in the description
Can you explain what these “concessions” you mention are?
They are wildlife management areas (WMA’s) a form of protected areas where local communities are also involved
Hi, did you do the 2/5 gear ratio, and what is the diesel consumption
Haven’t done the re-gearing yet, currently getting around 7 km/l ave, 5.5 in low-range stuff
@GetOutGO is not bad at all. It's actually very good with the rig on the back
