Cool setup for two...well done! Yes that tent is a bit of luxury every overlander deserves after a long day of driving. I loved your wheel bag with space for the sand tracks.
Looking forward to seeing more of your setup moving forward. We are getting ours fitted at the end of October and so excited to fit it out for our needs. ❤
We love ours! Almost 2.5 years and no real problems… the big screens aren’t great and ours could have been sealed a bit better but we sleep in it most nights (maybe 80-85% of the time). I’d definitely like the longer version but with a short 6 y/o we’re good for the moment. Enjoy!
Great camper Christoff. Here’s to loads of Adventures. Why not the Khaya Camper which is a full house canopy camper as I understand? What type of solar panel have you fitted? It looks light but still powerful enough!!
Thanks David! I think the Khaya is more for folks that want to retain their pickup as a work horse and take off the camper when they’re not camping. It’s also designed for mid-size trucks so I think you’d actually lose interior space on a S/C Land Cruiser compared to a Canopy Camper. It’s also a lot heavier (400kg empty, 700 kitted).
Thank you so much for sharing really means a lot to us who are still trying to figure out what works.I have been looking at the Infanta Inkunzi set up which I believe may be similar to yours.but I have 3 kids so am thinking for those family camping weekends the Conqueror EUV-25 would probably suit our needs better, any info on that particular trailer?Keep up with the lekker videos
There is one area that this setup is more superior than most, “the ability to get up in the morning, sneak into the lower section for a quick cup of coffee and rusks and look out the window into the open unfenced big 5 wilderness all in the safety of your setup. Nothing other than the troopy conversion can give you that. Period
Hi Christoph, hope you are doing well ❤ I would like to know where in south Africa can I get my vehicle, specifically the LC79 modified, from the top-down. I'm from Namibia and I'm planning to fly over there before December. Your response will be highly appreciate, and thank you for the wonderful content
Very nice setup! Assume the 253kg is for the AluCab setup only excl the tanks, batteries & fridges. I love the setup for those inclement weather days. Just a RTT makes those days... er... regrettable.
Hi Christoff just want find out, the Alu cab zip up bags that you have fitted under the bed, are those sold separately from Alucab or is it part of the Camper on purchase?I have an Icarus conversion on my Landy and want to fit the same to the underside of my bed. Thanks and regards Barry.
Hi Chris, I have a quick question. Did you "fix" the track difference between the front and rear axles on your Land Cruiser, and if so, where di you get it done in SA? Thanks, and keep up the excellent work, love the channel. Cheers, Clint
Great video and exciting project Chris - may I ask : the Goose Gear site currently says they do not ship internationally so how are you getting the interior build to SA ?
We’re regularly in the Kalahari, also around those temps. We have 2 Sirocco fans and usually try to find some shade. If you then open all the doors with the mozzie nets down it cools down quite a bit. You can look at something like an Ecoflow Wave aircon but the power usage doesn’t make it very practical
Hey guys not to be rude ! I’am in Canada and would be interested in getting something just like that and keep in SA . So my question what is the approx cost of that set up ! Bakkie and the Alucab with all equipment!
I would love to know why Alu-Cab is using white fabric on the inside ceiling of their campers and conversions now!? Do they not know about dusty conditions and the hundreds of mozzies you are going to be swatting over the lifetime of the canopy. For the love of all things pure and good, they need to change back to black!
So far, we're loving our Alu-Cab canopy camper!
I’m also super happy with the Alu-Cab LT-50 on the Jimny.
Your rig looks fantastic Chris. 🙌🏼
@@johanneswehrmann thank you!

Thanks, yup, we really love the quick setup! You can get the wheel cover at Outdoor Campers 😎
That looks like a really practical setup for what you do. Speed of setup and pack up really can't be overstated!
I think it really suits our needs 💯
This video does not do this cool rig justice after seeing it in person🔥🔥🔥
Hoop jy en Vanessa geniet elke oomblik daar buite!
Dankie Calvin!
I like the concept. And you can stand up in it.
It certainly offers more space than the dual cab version, wow. My install starts tomorrow 😊
Nice Glenn, excited to see your build 👌
Perfect set up! I have the ACCC on a DC Hilux but I think your space is better inside! Keep the videos coming!
Thank you!
Thanks for the review Uncle Chris.😊 this is definitely the life! I can’t imagine how exciting it is to configure your vehicle 🎉
Thank you! We’re loving it but can’t wait to install the Goose gear cupboards
Great setup. You will never look back. Just did 8000km Namibie and Botswana with our Landy Alucab Icarus conversion..enjoy!
Thank you!
Lyk goed Christof. Enjoy your Alu-Cab.
Dankie Werner!
Looking forward to seeing more of your setup moving forward.

We’re already enjoying ours, just need those cupboards fitted now
Looking perfect and all the best. Enjoy 👍👍

Loving ours as well! If you’re ever near Outdoor Campers you van get them to seal it better.
Thanks for sharing Chris!
Thanks for watching! 😉
Great stuff Chris, suit your needs. Thebe.
Thanks Thebe!
The rig looks great, setup is simple and practical. End your trips Legend❤
Looks like a great option l, enjoy
Thanks Andrew 👍
definitely the crem de la crem accommodation for long term overlanding...
We think so too! 👍
Beautiful ❤

The solar panel is a 380w semi-flexible mounted on correx (for ventilation). Outdoor Campers sell them www.outdoorcampers.co.za/
Thanks Christoff. The Rock9 underbody lights; is that to see predators when you are wild camping or cos they look cool?😎
More for our slithering friends than predators 😉 but yes, just to see what’s maybe lying below the vehicle…
Nice one 🤙👍
Thanks Paul!
Excellent choice 👍 Didn’t see you at the show?
Thanks Trevor! Nope, was the lucky winner of the flu (right at the end of winter🤦♂️)
Looks good. Have you left the fridge / freeze opening for the inside or have you since turned them so you can access them through the gull wings.
Thanks Mark! The fridge faces outwards as you usually want to grab something quickly and the freezer faces inward.

Our pleasure! I will be taking out 3 different Conqueror caravans soon 👍 Maybe pop in at Outdoor Campers to look at some of these in person as well

Hi, please give a shout on info@getoutgo.co.za
Looks magic. How is the weight with the alu cab on the cruiser.
Thanks Kyle! It’s 253kg so not bad as far as campers go 👌

Hi Barry, they’re sold separately, you should be able to order them from Outdoor Campers (Centurion) or a Megaworld near you.
Thank you so much. Keep up the good work, love your content.
