  • My working DIY Steampunk Train project began with a donated wheelchair frame without working batteries. After discarding several ideas, I decided on a Steampunk train which would be used to carry all of my convention materials. I could now arrive in style!
Our conductor JARVIS is a separate RC controlled character. You can see more info on him at • DIY Steampunk Robot

All you need now is a passenger car for the kids.
    Looks great. 👍👍👍

Awsome prop. An E cigarette blower in the stack with a led would look good especially at night.

Adding smoke is the one thing still on my wish list. It would greatly add to the overall look!

Thank you. This project started with the donation of the wheelchair and morphed into something larger that I originally thought. Just like most of my other projects! 😀

Holding the remote i was thinking ""When this baby hits 88 mhp you're going to see some serious s-word" Then watch the train take off and fly away. 🤣 This is so awesome really nice work and super fun too. Good to see you. 👍👊

Yep! I've got it throttled down as it can really move. I've loaded down the trailer with over 100 pounds and it pulls it without a problem.

Looks great Steve! Terrific job on the build. Lots of great detail...and it runs nice and smooth. It must be a lot of fun to drive! Congratulations!

Thank you! Couldn't have done it without Bob's help with the painting and Miles work on the stencils. Of course, Bryan did the video which does a great job showing it off. Now to find a place to store it!

I knew you were busy making something cool. I was wondering if you might add a drive bar connecting a smaller wheel in the front to the big wheel in back.

      Always working on cool stuff!
I had considered attaching the two sets of wheels but the additional mechanism would have made the train wider than I wanted. The goal was to keep it under 30" wide so it will fit through a standard doorway if necessary. I plan on using the train to carry all my stuff when I travel to local conventions and you never know where you will need to go. Sometimes you need to make concessions in your design.
