    That locomotive looks immaculate. An Edwardian engine that has some elements of French steam engines.

    Glorious!
    I am keen to give it a go. Thinking a Triang Davy Crocket or Hiawatha or maybe a Hall may be a candidate - I'll rat around the parts bin!
    Btw i felt your pain with the crinkling paint. My secret weapon for paint removal is to soak the model in brake fluid for a few days. The paint then washes off in water. Removes all the paint and leaves the plastic alone.

    That's very nicely made. I am so impressed with how you managed to get that cowcatcher soldered together without the whole thing falling apart. The outcome is wonderful and I like the clever techniques you used. Soon I'm going to try making something steampunk with an old rivarossi 8-coupled tank engine body and a toy story 4-4-0 chassis to make a 4-4-4 passenger tank. Keep up the great work!

    It really turned out well as a Vic Mod for a Steam Punk loco. A great use for the finger nail decals to add some bling as well as the other little touches to give the engine more detail. The only thing I would have used was finer rod for the hand rails threaded threw a few supporting nobs to the boiler. All in all a nice wee do able project for any one that has old models that are wasting away in the spares box. I will have to come back and view some more of your channel to see if you got some stock to pull after her.

    What a beautiful engine! I haven't been able to set my own trains up for approaching 15/16 years now (lacking the space and time) but with plans to move into my own place within the next couple of years I think its time to rekindle my childhood passions.

    I just found your channel last night and I immediately watched this miniseries and I absolutely loved it. It was a cool choice to use a 4-2-2 as I personally believe they are an elegant wheel configuration (along with 4-2-0 Cramptons but I digress). Surprisingly enough when people think steam punk, they don't think locomotives which is why I drew a lot of steampunk locos in middle school. I do have a suggestion for coaches if you do ever plan on making some, I think 6 wheel coaches with clerestory roofs would be ideal or maybe even tram coaches (in particular steam or horse tram coaches, not double decker) just to add that Victorian steampunk

    Does rocket card glue hold better than super glue?

    • @RailwayManiaNet
      @RailwayManiaNet  4 года назад +1

      Not exactly, superglue is very strong but has no flex in it when dry, so it can be quite brittle. It also gives off vapour while it's drying which can affect paint, whereas Roket Card Glue is PVA based (I think) meaning the bond is not as strong but the work time is longer so less risk of messing it up.
