- Make a creamy whipped Shea butter body butter with me. (Update: if you intend to label and sell as body butter, you’ll need to increase the butters and oils to be the majority of the formula.) The best part is that since our body butter recipe is emulsified it's won't melt in the summer heat. The emulsifying wax makes the formulation more stable. I will also show you how to label your body butter using a Cricut machine to cut out a custom shape.

@@TyarsEssentials yes i did , I'm referring to making the labels with what ever program you used . Thanks for the response back ☺️
@@gregbrown7239 Yes, I would love to see how you created the labels on the Cricut machine also. The laminating paper you used, etc.
Awesome video! I learned a lot about how to incorporate liquid. The emulsification process is key 🔑
Thank you 😊
You’re exactly right. Thank you!
I love the way you teach May God Almighty bless you more
May you be blessed as well. Thank you! 💕

Typically, I’m done start to finish in 90 mins. Cool down takes a while. 😉

Thank you so much! It’s like magic watching oil and water turn into a creamy lotion.
I call it a BODY CREAM
Hello Happy New Year @TyarsEssentials. Your tutorials are AHMAZING! I made this recipe it is great, thanks. However, It makes a lot of product just for me to use. Can you please tell me how to scale it down, as I don't need a massisve amount for myself. Thanks, God Bless😊
Thank you for sharing ❤️
My pleasure!

I need some labels sis
Hi, I made this formula twice and it is very moisturizing. I love it! Although the 2nd time I made it, it separated. I wanted to ask a quick question about this formula. Whenever you do formulas, they typically equal to 100 % but I had a hard time doing that when I tried to convert the recipe to percentages. Did you get your percentages up to 100% or you did a different number? Thanks!
Hi! I’m so glad you tried it. Hmm, if it separated it might have cooled down too fast. Or wasn’t blended frequently enough during the cooling phase. In the past 5 years, I only had it separate on me once or twice and that was when I took my eye off it during cool down. For percentages, you can add up to total grams, divide the individual ingredients grams by that number, and multiply that times 100. Every recipe can be converted to percentages that way. I really hope that helps!
Hi there! Love how you are so through. I cant wait to try. I have a couple questions. Can I use a regular mixer and can I use stearic acid in place of cetyl alcohol?
Hi! Thank you, I don’t know about the mixer, because I’ve never tried it. The stearin acid should work too, but it may stiffen up the texture. It’s worth testing in a small batch.
Hi lovely lady! Can I ask about your body butter is it safe to use during pregnancy? Can babies use this on their skin? Thank you so much for your amazing work! 💜
Yes, you can but you may want to make it fragrance free to reduce the chance for irritation. Perhaps shy away from any nut oils too.
What temperature should they both be before I pour
Do you know the label size for this body butter I don’t do cricut but I order labels. Thank you
Hi so i found your video naking this exact product 3 years ago and then i saw this one and when i looked at the ingredients a few of the amounts are different than the other recipe. Can you help me figure out what are the proper amounts needed for cetyl alcohol, emulsifying wax and optiphen?
Hi! Sorry for the confusion. I kind of tweak it here and there depending on the season. But, if you stick to the amount given in the video, it’s a great starting point, then adjust it accordingly to your preferences.
Thank you for you for sharing, I just had a qustion Can I use Btms 20 insted?
My pleasure! I have never tried it, but I think it could work for sure. I believe btms 20 has just a little less of a conditioning agent.
Nice video. To Make This thicker would it be wise to play with the water percentage & butters? Also, is that a self adhering laminating sheet? I appreciate your feedback in advance.
Thank you! Yes, increase butters a bit. I use heat lamination, because it’s easier for me. But, self laminated would work just as well.
Excellent video! I’m wondering I can use lamination sheets if I don’t have a cricket?
Thank you! Of course! Just lay you design out how you want it in Canva or something like that, print it, laminate it, then hand cut it.
@@TyarsEssentials That’s what I figured, but I’ve never laminated anything before. How can that be? You are joy to watch. You are so relaxed and seem like you’re having fun! Have a great day. Thank you!
Hi from India... Really like your channel... One question though if I skip btms 50 will it affect my butter ratio?
Thank you! Yeah, just replace it with more eWax.
Will this consistency work in a squeeze bottle?
Maybe. I haven’t tried it. I think it would work better in a tube.
What if i wanted it thicker
You can add more solid butters.
YOU are very nice and interesting.
Thank you!
Do you have this recipe on bulk I make tons of body butter a day and the summer is melting my products also can I add the fragrance after it is mixed because I make different scents as well daily please let me know thank you.
Hi! I do not, as I still make everything in small batches, but I imagine in can be done.
lovely video. can you give me products expire date or longevity?
As a rule of thumb I say 12 months. But, I’ve tested items after 3+ years and they’re just fine. The fragrance is just not as strong.
Emulsified body butter. But pretty sure that means nothing to customers. Maybe body butter cream?
I like that, body butter cream. Sounds delicious, lol!
It’s not our opinion it’s the fda says. This goes to show y’all don’t do y’all’s research. It’s a lotion if it has water in it. False marketing is legal in this country.
Great feedback, thank you! I believe if your butter and oils are the majority of your formulation you can still label it a body butter. In that case I would suggest increasing the percentage of butters to be safe.
It's not a lotion or butter it's a Body Cream.
Exactly! We brand it as butter, because if the high percentage of butters. But, yes, it’s formulated as thick cream.
