    Adding an adequate amount of Oil of Oregano to any butter will heal the skin from daily abuse and help to keep the skin younger for a longer period of time. There are so many natural remedies out there that most of us have forgotten about. Glad to see my younger sisters on the natural route. Her skin color is fire. I've been preaching this to my family and friends for 40 years.

    as a man i never thought i would do skin care but now at my 45 it is a need. eventhough i must mention that quitting smoking, alcohol, meat, caffeine consumption more than a decade ago have kept me quiet clean inside still skin/hair need natural nourishment, and i am enhancing natural ways. i have switched to diy herbal shampoo like shishikakai, sidr, amla (ayurvedic powders), oiling scalp & hair once a week at least with brahmi oil. oil pulling teeth with sweet almond+coconut oil, using mahanarayna ayurvedic oil special for joint/muscle health. now it's skin's turn. it's fun, i never did so much self-care before & after some research these regular routines are really simple & helpful. I do really hope we can all change our habits from chemically made products back to natural, we will be more healthy & also reduce pollution. all those chemical factories & products create really toxic waste for Nature. i love that ladies are so much more environment aware! it is really good & positive impact! keep going natural & compassionate!!!

      How do you reheat your food quickly (without burning it)?

    • @pattyschulz8892
      @pattyschulz8892 2 года назад +14

      @@MissCiscaP hi 🙂 I reheat using either a toaster oven, conventional oven or in a pan on the stovetop. I'm old enough to have grown up without a microwave (we couldn't have afforded one anyway- they did exist lol, but were not yet common household appliances) and didn't even know how to use one until I started working as a waitress 😉. We got a microwave when we got married, and had gone through a few over the years. But after round 2 of cancer I just went back to "old fashioned" ways of reheating that I grew up with. It's not as bad as one might imagine 😉. I don't make a big deal out of it at other ppls houses. When I am a guest in someone's home, I graciously accept what is offered, but given the choice, I'll drink cold coffee over having it microwaved. It is a little less convenient for sure, but it's all I knew growing up, and we just adapted 🙂
      That being said, all my grown kids went back to using a microwave for convenience but I don't fuss about it. They'll walk their own paths, but ironically, it was one of my kids that pointed out the irony of radiating my food and having a cancer that was related to radiation. Blessings 🙂

    • @MissCiscaP
      @MissCiscaP 2 года назад +2

      @@pattyschulz8892 issue I have is when using an oven to reheat, it ends up cooking the food again (if you know what I mean) and if I keep the heat very low - so it doesn’t overcook or burn - it takes ages to heat up thoroughly. Soups are fine as I usually do them on the hob anyway but things like rice, meat, bread, etc. just doesn’t work without a microwave for me 😞😞

      @pattyschulz8892 2 года назад +7

      @@MissCiscaP totally understand. They are a huge convenience 👍. And if one chooses to ditch them there sure is a huge learning curve! The toaster oven helped alot, but yes we still burn things. It is a very tough decision to make lol. I have no intention of going back, but by that same token we all choose our paths and the battles we have on those paths. I literally got mad with my 2nd diagnosis and literally threw it out to the road. But it most definitely does NOT ensure I won't ever have cancer again. We can do every thing "right" and still get cancer. Heck we can do everything "right" to avoid cancer and go out and get hit by a truck the next day anyway. We all do what we can in the place we're at and just keep going. 💖

    I followed your method, but I used some cocoa butter solid, Haitian black castor oil, moringa oil, and some leftover over healing cream I had that was shea butter based but also included calendula, aloe vera juice and safflower oil. I also use the double boil method to make my own super hair grease.

    Enjoyed watching this. I have raw shea from Ghana (my cousins live there). I’ve had this block for yeeears. I keep it in the fridge and cut off a piece to put in jars when I need it. Do you know if it loses its health benefits after a while…? Also, I don’t remember seeing it on your list. But I put the tiniest dab of shea to coat my lashes before my toxic-free mascara- and girl, they’re growing!! So it’s good for lash growth also. 🙌🏼

    I also have dry sensitive skin and have been making my own whipped shea butt mix for last 5 years and it has changed my skin. Vitality, softness, bounciness.
    Ingredients
    Shea butter
    Coconut oil
    Sweet almond oil
    Glycerin oil
    Fragrance oil of choice
    I've never used jojoba or rosehip, I'll look into that
    Glycerin oil acts as a facilitator so your skin can actually absorb moisture and it's not just oil sitting on top of your skin.
    I agree about coconut oil clogging pours. But I only find that it really affects me if I apply the butter on my face. Otherwise I don't have any complaints
    Warning: if you use this, don't go right in the sun as it may lead to sun burn. I would say give it 12 hours before any major outdoor time.
    I tend to put it on at night after showering and go to bed then next day My skin is incredibly moisturized.

      This can definitely be used to seal ends, prevent split ends and braid hair etc... but I wouldn’t use it as a mask because the Shea butter is oil based and naturally too thick to easily rinse out so it would require shampooing to clean off properly unlike a standard mask which is typically water based or aloe based and can be rinsed off without shampooing again.

    Hi, thanks for sharing your recipe. Recently I purchased shea butter made by the women of Ghana which I was very excited to use.. I than view the company RUclips channel on how it made , and I was crushed to learn that they are using aluminum tools. I’ve bought 15 kg of shea butter from them. I’m so disappointed to see such high quality products made in an old fashion way get to mix with aluminum. If you know of a business out there that use high quality tools with their products such as wood and stainless steel, please share with us. Thanks 🙏🏻
