I do mine just Shea butter and coconut oil❤️. And I do my deodorant wax with Shea butter, coconut oil and jojoba wax and usually orange essential oil. This one is good to put quite a lot of jojoba wax so it’s very dry and thick to put under arms.
Just a heads up, essential oils and fragrances can be very irritating to the skin. I would skip it if you have sensitive skin or if youre making it for your baby. I love the recipe!! Im defs gonna be trying this!
This is mostly because people use trash, drugstore/Amazon essential oils. Try small amounts of a high quality essential oil if you’re wanting fragrance***
Just for anyone who has eczema: This is a GREAT recipe. The only thing I would say coming from someone who had it really bad, I DONT recommend essential oils. If you have a brand that doesn’t irritate your skin, by all means use that. But be careful.
@@iamroyalty29 YES 🙌 So what I would say is using something like maybe coconut oil if you like the smell of it, or shea butter. That gives it a nice scent. But for other scents like say lavender, lemon, citrus, etc. I recommend diluting essential oils. This is no where near as complicated as it sounds 😅. I just recommend getting your favorite ECZEMA SAFE moisturizer and some water. You can use the moisturizer from this recipe, but if you have something that doesn’t have shea butter in it , that would be best because the smell of the shea butter might overpower the essential oils, especially in diluted form. What you need to do is just take about a tablespoon of HOT water. VERY important that it’s hot. Then take whatever essential oil you would like and drop about 5 drops into the water. This will fill the water with scent, but dilutes the oil enough so it does it irritate your skin. If you have a bigger quantity of moisturizer than, say a Cera Vae moisturizer pump bottle, I would recommend using about 2 tablespoons of this substance, depending on how scented you want it to be. But BE CAREFUL to NOT add too much of the substance or else you moisturizer will become watery and less helpful for your skin. I hope this helped! And sorry it’s so long 😅

I love your video. Well done. The only query I would add is vitamin e oil is not a preservative nor a natural preservative. It is an antioxidant that prevents the oils from going rancid or extends its shelf life. It doesn't prevent the growth of mold or bacteria which is why products that have water or aqueous solution in the ingredients or may be get water into the product via the user, need a preservative.

I would recommend you storing it in the fridge if you want to keep it for more than a week or two, just because if you dip your fingers in you are introducing bacteria and fungi that grow at room temp and you will slow that process significantly by cooling it. But if you want to let it sit outside just put a spoon or spatula next to it and use that instead of your fingers. An added bonus would be putting Vitamin E in it and if you don't mind the scent of tea tree or rosemary oil both of those have antibacterial and antifungal properties that will also inhibit the floaties from growing. Thank you so much for this video love the recipe my skin loves butters! I get a distinct shine from Shea butter especially. Lotions nice but Butters are the holy grail!!!
Just a tip for everyone - Coconut oil has quite a high comedogenic score which means it might not work for those prone to clogged pores, acne, etc. Each carrier oil has a score you can look up but most of the others seem to be fine. Jojoba oil is great for balancing oil production x
I’ve been seeing a lot of people telling others to put their butter in the fridge first. How long do you let it sit/cool? Outside on the counter? Also, should it be twice as much oil than Shea butter? I made a butter but it was really thick 😫 wasn’t creamy like yours. I also noticed mine was very oily. And ruined some of my clothes. Idk what I’m doing wrong, too thick and oily LMAOO Thanks for sharing!!!!! Appreciate it ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Hello!! I’ve been making a similar body butter for a year now and I usually make 12 ounces at a time, and for that amount I use aboutttt 20 drops of lavender oil! It usually gives the good scent plus the benefits of the lavender oil :) I have dry skin and share with my boyfriend and lasts us maybe 3 months? But I’m sure it doesn’t “expire” any time soon!
I loved this video. I suspect the shea butter products I'm buying are not as pure and effective as they could be. I found your video when I did a search for the safe way to soften shea butter. I was blown away by your whipped creation. Question: How long does it stay whipped for? Can it be stored at room temperature?
I made a 50% cocoa butter soap. Made my liver quiver. I'm going to try shea butter @50%. I do make my own body butters....... super nice. My skin does glow and in the sun it sparkles. Giving God all the glory 😍
Hey Rachel! Thank you for your amazing recipes. Lots of love!! I tried making the body butter but didn't get the whipped cream texture. I'm not sure what I did wrong :( Perhaps could you share the exact measures that you used? Thanks so so much 😍
Hi Lucia, I'm not sure if you've tried to make this again but I've just made it and here is what I've found. As Rachel said, let the Shea butter cool down a bit. I was really impatient but I found standing the bowl with melted Shea butter in another bowl with ice cold water in it really helped whilst I whipped it up. This helps the mixture to cool faster. You'll still have to whip it for 20 minutes or so but you'll definitely see it coming together. Wear an apron! Also put down some paper or tea towels when you're whipping otherwise you'll get lots of splashes of mixture everywhere! Also make sure the bowl you're mixing in is quite deep as this will double in size AT LEAST! Make sure you have enough containers to hold the finished butter. It will increase in size. I added 2 capfuls of Castor Oil which was fine but maybe 1 or 1.5 would have been enough. For reference, I used 500g of solid Shea butter, 2 capfuls of castor oil with 20 drops of essential oil and it whipped up beautifully! Good luck! 😊👍
I loved your video, One question I had is what is the shelf life of whipped body butter? Does it require any special storage ie. refrigeration or away from light?
THANK YOU FOR WATCHING!!!! plugs in description. Please share your plugs too! xxxxxx

That’s whipped cream I need to put on my strawberry shortcake🍰strawberries and whipped cream are divine😋
I am white but with thick curly hair and I used this recipe, with slight adjustments for my curls. It is really great emollient and it lasted done good 6 months!!!
Thank you so much for this video love the recipe my skin loves butters! I get a distinct shine from Shea butter especially. Lotions nice but Butters are the holy grail!!!
YESSSSS I WANT BATHE IN IT!
Thank you Rachel 💚
I love to shine & glow. Your skin looks amazing!!!
Your skin looks unbelievably gorgeous!!!! I need to find some of that Baobab oil stuff. Thanks
It's good to know I don't have to freeze it before whipping. Thank you.
Ughh! Your accent is heavenly!! Great video, thanks for sharing! ❤️
I'm like you beautiful, I never liked lotions at all🤭shea, mango and all organic butters are so wonderful for keeping a glistening and youthful skin
Just a tip for everyone - Coconut oil has quite a high comedogenic score which means it might not work for those prone to clogged pores, acne, etc. Each carrier oil has a score you can look up but most of the others seem to be fine. Jojoba oil is great for balancing oil production x
Don’t know how I found you but I’m glad I did 😂❤️❤️. Thank you for sharing your knowledge. God Bless.
Natural vegan organic food and body care IS the best. I've been on this journey for 3 years. It's amazing! 🖤😇
Love this!❤ where’s the recipe in the description? I’ve looked & it’s not there only links. Can you please leave the recipe in a reply or comment?
I love body butters🤩 I use mine to seal in moisture for my hair also.
!! sameeeeee sis xxx
SHEEEEEEEESHHHHH OMG!!!!! ITS THE CUT TO 5:30 FOR ME! RADIANNNNNNT!!!!!
*"Shea butter feels like mother earth"* 🌎 it hit different when you said that 😄.
Appreciate it ❤️❤️❤️❤️
I add aloe vera to mine, as well. It's so much fun making body/hair butters.
Aloe Vera gel?
Yesss I can’t wait to try this with a aloe 🙏🏽🦋🙏🏽🥳🙏🏽🦋🥳🙏🏽🤭🥳🦋🙏🏽🤭🦋🥳🦋🦋🤭🤭🦋🦋🦋🙏🏽🙏🏽🦋🦋‼️
How long does it keep for. And if you were to add a scented essential oil e.g. lavender, how much do you add?? Cheers. Defo trying this.
@@nikkimartin9628 can you tell me where you get your Shea from? Lol I keep checking for Rachel’s links but haven’t seen anything!
@@melloisyellow SORRRRY!! I thought i added, just have now xxxxx
I love this!! What I love most is I know exactly what's in it! ♡
I’ll definitely try this since I have such dry skin and I’m sure my skin will transform ❤️
I need to know how you manage your hair because it’s beautiful 😍
I’m so surprised you didn’t use emulsifying wax. Does it stay creamy for the duration of use?
Wow thank you for sharing this and the link to the products 🥰🥰many more blessings to you and ur loved ones !!
I must try this.your skin really glows.
Great presentation....thanks for sharing...I will definitely try and up my shea butter consumption..your skin looks superb 👌
I tried this and my skin have been popping... Thank you for this
I loved this video.
That looks so good. I should try it. Yummy. Yes we can see the glow.
I always follow You Rachel. Food is Perfectly Great. I’m A Mann (Marine) , I’m Going Too Make This Shea Butter. You Beautiful - Thanks.
I watched half of your video and already hooked. Just subscribed!💖
love this one!! It’s best to make this kind of products at home! Thank you💘✨
I used to make my own homemade soap with natural essential oil but I never try this one so I'm going to make me some of that.
Hey, I would love to know how you make your own soap! Any tips?
Thank you, Nubian!!!! I made my whipped body butter it takes time and patience.
This video is amazing!!!! May I ask where you got your jars from?!
Good luck! 😊👍
@@LitPix1 Thank you for taking your time to answer. I really appreciate it. Lots of love!!
@@luciagalarza9666 No problem at all 😊
@@LitPix1 This is really helpful! I'm sure I would have been one of those 'impatient' ones. Now I know better🤣
@@afrilifewealth8743 Hahaha, you're more than welcome. I've learnt from my mistakes!
Few days ago i bought shea butter, Love the effects but using it is time consuming, gonna make it whipped so its faster
I couldn’t get past how cute your shirt is! Where did you get it from?
I loved your video, One question I had is what is the shelf life of whipped body butter? Does it require any special storage ie. refrigeration or away from light?
