I miss posting lots, too, but I'm a lot happier and less stressed without posting all the time-I was on the verge of burning out last year. I'm a lot more active on Patreon with a couple videos a month, weekly posts, and more :)
@@HumblebeeAndMeI am so glad to hear you are doing good ! Being burnt out is the worst. are you posting on patron only now? I will become a patron soon because I might start formulating soon because of all your amazing videos that I saw. It was very interesting and I binge watched you for a while before I got extremely busy. I was wondering if it was possible to formulate a hair oil for the scalp that smells nice. Indians have amazing hair that is mostly due to the oiling habits taught at a young age. Do you know a way we can use the same ingredients to get the same benefits but a version that smells nice. Oiling hair is good for the scalp. Especially castor oil! You can see Indian aunties with STRONG healthy hair past their 80s even. See you soon on patron. ❤
These videos where you make 1 products 3 ways are so educational. You teach us a solid foundation where we can build on. And cost wise it's great too. We can stick with basics or get fancy. As DIYers we want to do things our way, so giving us 3 versions with options is music to our ears 🎶 Thank you, Marie! How about a whole series like this?
I'm so glad you're enjoying these! And I think I probably have done enough of them at this point to say there's a series :) I've just put them all into a playlist here: ruclips.net/p/PL4cZgaY9j7fOKvALr0zyUpCZHH9BZoc5D. Thanks for DIYing with me, and happy making :)
Hi, Marie! My name is Laura and I'm 12 years old. I have my own natural skincare business with the help of my mum! I really liked the Sol De Janeiro bum bum cream dupe you formulated! I have some suggestions of what you can maybe try and dupe next: Sol De Janeiro fragrance mist, Glow Recipe, and the viral Milk jelly face tint. I recently got your book and I love it! Thank you soo much for all the great videos! ♥
Just the formulation I was after 😍. I was surprised that you didn’t suggest replacing liquid oils with some light easters as one of the strategy. Looking fwd to try the corn starch in the formulation. Thanks Marie as always 🤗🤗
I was trying to keep things super duper accessible, but I do mention it as a possibility for formulation #3 in the free partner blog post :) Thanks for DIYing with me, and happy making!
That white spatula! I must have it! 😂 will you please share a link? I have two of the norpro blue ones I have seen you use before and I love them. I need to add to my collection and that lovely white and cream combo has me all excited!
I am considering selling some body butters alongside my soaps & scrub this bazaar season. I'd like to include a preservative since I'd be selling these. I'm starting with your 2nd formula, although because I already have all the ingredients for #3, I might venture out and try that soon enough too. Can you tell me how to add the preservative? Say it's 1% of optiphen, do I just add 1% of the overall recipe or do I subract a liquid to incorporate this extra liquid? Thanks!
Would colloidal oatmeal work instead of starch or can you recommend another beneficial powder? I imagine it mostly depends on how finely milled the powder is. I thought about using clay as well, but I rubbed a bit of clay between my fingers and compared it to corn starch and it's a lot courser.
Mam I made a face wash using 1 Xantham gum 20 glycerine 30g home extract 40 g capb 40 coco Glucoside 1 liquid germal plus 1 gram citric acid and 67 grm distilled water 1 st mixing xg and glycerin then add that to extract water liquid germal plus last add surfactant I did this and after few time it’s seprating like in bottle top thick and bottom liquid what should I do mam ??
FYI in description box corn starch is listed as grams instead of percentage (right side of formula) 😉 Thanks for the wealth of knowledge you share…I use it constantly❣️
Do you have recommendations for tallow butter? I've been making it, splitting the tallow and Shea, but have questions on the amounts of each. The same recipe one time is perfect, the next time it's a bit greasy.
Love your videos 😍Question regarding colorants - if I don't want to use micas, can I swap with clay? For example, rose clay for a pinkish tone? Thank you!
Had to lol All through this video I was thinking can’t wait to see what it is but will still use half mango half Shea Made my first body butter, a couple of months ago with two carrier oils, and the two letters and kicking myself for not making it earlier Definitely do the mango peoples😊 I like it way better than the Shay
I accidentally deleted all the emails I’ve received from the old free skincare course ( I deleted all the emails I had and didn’t realised that your free course was in it ) and I remember that you said it will not be available anymore 😭😭😭 I’m really heartbroken because of what I did😭😭😭😭😭😭 Can someone help me 😖😢😭😭
Totally missing the once a week humblebee videos😢

Yay!!! I love when you post. If we don't whip it, will it be a balm texture?
Please make vedio on gel base & oil free moisturiser for oily & acne prone skin. I’m waiting.

Thank you Marie for the wonderful video. One quick question though, can we substitute corn starch with xantham gum powder?
Thanks for popping up and sharing some more context
So these do not need preservatives added into them? And if they don’t, how long is their shelf life?
Can I use hibiscus powder instead of mica?
Hello humblebee can you pls make sunscreen for oily face pls

Yup! You might need a bit more to get a noticeable colour, though. I'd probably start reducing the starch to make room for it :)

Hi Marie! Do we have a non melting one for summer hot weather?
www.humblebeeandme.com/easy-emulsified-body-butter/ :)
Could colloidal oats be used ilo the other starches?
I love it
Hey
Please make a video on glycolic acid cream ❤️
Thank you so much.
Question. Where can I purchase pure organic refined shea butters. I’m looking on Amazon but skeptical.
I love the raw shea butter from Baraka ❤️ barakasheabutter.com
What scale do you use?
thanks
Depending on the ratio, you will have hydrogenated butters for the room temperature oil used.
I wish this was timestamped

Definitely do the mango peoples😊
I like it way better than the Shay
😄 Mango is amazing! I love shea, but mango 100% needs more time in the spotlight!!

Can these formulas also be used as a hair butter?
If your hair loves lots of oils and butters, definitely!
