Wow that is some high praise! 360 display and heated steering wheel, US does not have either for this exact model. Would definitely take the 360 display for parking.
Congratulations on the 20,000 subscribers! Great content as always! And for the car, I've never driven one but seeing your review, I really want to try it out because it does seem like a great package!
Have a 17 hatch, but an automatic in the red like yours. The colour is great as is the car. Glad it hasn't changed a lot since I got mine. I'm 75 and don't drive a lot (44000 miles) and haven't had one problem. Have the 2 liter and the mileage is very good, lifetime average is 36.1.
I personally Like the new look of you filming in the open country side....Nice change of pace and seems to help me concentrate a little more on the vehicle your reviewing. NIce Work Jay !
@@2151abell Thank you!!! I need to tweak the exposure as it was too inconsistent but I enjoyed this new style. I’ll be doing it with the Kia Carnival I have this weekend. Appreciate the long-standing support!
I bought myself a Mazda3 Sport GT I-active AWD platinum quartz metallic (new in Feb 2022) I really fell in love with the driving dynamics, I enjoy driving the car more than anything else I've owned. I should go place an order for a 6-speed in the same colour for 2025. I have a feeling I won't like the next gen as much.
Bought this car in June of 2024. I wanted a reliable, 4-cylinder, manual transmission. If it were up to me I'd have manual ebrake, manual windows, manual key fob, and no sunroof. Black rims are growing on me.
@@Modern.Motoring Thoughts on supercharger whenever those hit the market in a few years? Heard they can be what is 'missing' Also heard stock Turbo is often too hard on the engines to be worth it 2025 Mazda3 Sport GT MT (only option up here with stick)
The sedan outsold the hatchback by quite a large margin for the last several quarters, surprisingly enough. I doubt they’re going to get rid of the sedan. In fact I just bought one this year.
That's in the U.S. where more people strangely choose sedans over hatchbacks. He's in Canada, but not sure they have enough buying population up there to move the needle with Mazda's future plans. I prefer the hatch so if that's the only body style from now on I'll be ok with it.
@ Yes, I know he’s in Canada, so am I. Still bought a sedan. Better rear space, taller roof in rear seats, better rear visibility, less expensive, more fuel efficient, and I find it just looks better. The numbers I was talking about are for all of US+CAN, as is the case for nearly all manufacturers when reporting sales figures.
@@figeon Better looking is subjective, I think Mazda did a stellar job designing both body styles. That said it is true the sedan does have more rear leg and headroom, but the difference isn't massive, both styles are true compact cars. I do hope they keep the choice on the next gen, but if it's only one..hatchback all the way. (more rear seat room wou;d be nice though)
@@figeon well, maybe thats the case for the US, but my Mazda Dealer told me that the sales in EU are almost 1 to 10 when comparing the Sedan to the hatchback. I don't know the Worldwide numbers, but it could very well be the end for the Sedan, atleast everywhere except the US models...
Would you say this is better than the Civic Si at a similar price? I know the Si is faster because of the turbo engine and it handles twisty roads better, but is the Mazda 3 with a stick the better overall experience? This may sound insane to some reading this, but I currently have a 2021 3 turbo hatch and lately have been contemplating trading it in for the same car with the n/a engine and stick simply because I miss the engagement a manual gives. Of course I've also considered the Civic Si which would in theory provide the best of both worlds, but that would mean giving up some creature comforts like the awesome Bose sound system and iirc the Si doesn't have a moonroof and maybe not even blind spot monitoring. (not sure on that last one) Then there is also the Civic Sport Touring with available manual and all the bells and whistles, but I think that's even more expensive than an Si and performance isn't anything exciting...but then again, neither is the Mazda 3 with manual. See my dilemma?
I would as the 3 offers stronger livability, a more balanced ride, smoother shifts, a significantly better interior, fit and finish, plus Mazda's driving dynamics for the price are unmatched. It's not fast but it's quick. In 2024, only 5-ish percent of all Mazda 3 sales were for the manual. It's difficult to see Mazda bringing a manual to the fifth gen, due out in the next year or so. You could go used but with such a low amount of 3 manuals, it might be hard to find one. Let me know what you decide and thanks for the comment!
@@Modern.Motoring I think you're right, I've test driven the latest Civic (not the Si) and thought it was good, maybe the best Civic ever in some ways, but still doesn't hold up when compared to the Mazda 3 unless interior/cargo room are priorities. That and the fact my local Mazda dealer will actually deal whereas all of the Honda dealerships act like they're a luxury car dealer and don't care if they make a sale because someone with deeper pockets will be along any minute now.
I know you think the Mazda 3 is best in class because you and your friend reviewed this model for several years now. Also, in my opinion, if Mazda get rid of the manual and the sedan for the Mazda 3. Then that will be the end of the Mazda 3 especially for the North American market.
