Thanks for the good advice, but non of the supplements that you discussed were in the picture of your thumbnail. Perhaps you were using a stock image, but that is misleading.
If I remember correctly, about 10 years ago Dr Oz said to avoid soy, but he also said there's a difference between organic and regular soy products. He said organic soy was okay bec it didn't add high levels of estrogen in the body. Knowledge keeps changing, is organic tofu or org soy beverage okay?
Hi Dr Livingood, Is it true that you cannot combine taking Calcium and Magnesium? I bought at Costco a multi supplement in 1 pill - Calcium citrate (500 mg) with magnesium (80 mg), D3 (20 mcg), and zinc (10mg). Are these good combinations? Is there equivalent supplements I can buy from your clinic? Thanks for providing informative videos.
I eat meat and lots of nuts. My ferritin levels are continually low. Years ago I had to take a supplement in order to give blood and even then it was barely high enough to give. The last time I decided I wouldn’t do it again unless absolutely necessary, as it made me feel sick for days.
I'm still on iron. I take Ferritin 325mg every day. My ferritin level was a 2. I've had a blood transfusion in the past and earlier this year I had an infusion of iron or ferritin. I was advised that I no longer need to take ferritin but shortly after I had the infusion I started having my period. My periods are heavy and I am 53 and no end is in sight. I was on blood thinners and would basically bleed out every month. In May I had 15 inches of my colon removed as they found a non cancerous mass and they thought this was why I have been anemic. Right now I have been bleeding almost 2 1/2 months. That's why I'm continuing to take iron. Any suggestions?

I will be 74 in May. Just had a blood test and Dr. Said I was low in iron. Anemic. I was taking iron not religiously.
For food you want to focus on iron-rich foods like Greens, grass-fed beef etc. Vitamin C, found in citrus fruits, also helps with iron absorption. I just got b12 because of you and um over 50
Thankfully I haven't taken these. But I will be getting a vitamin k supplement to take with my D3.
Our Vitamin D3 has K2, Magnesium, Lipoic Acid, Zinc, Vitamins A and E. All of the necessary Vitamins to ensure that is absorbed properly! -Livingood Daily Team
Blessings from Utah! 👊🏻🤩👍🏻
Thanks for the good advice, but non of the supplements that you discussed were in the picture of your thumbnail. Perhaps you were using a stock image, but that is misleading.
I have to take calcium from barimelts because I have no Thyroid and gastric bypass
We recommend avoiding them until personal goals are met. Once personal goals are met, an option that is both organic and non-GMO is okay. 🙂 - LGD Team
Thank you for all you do!!!

Hi Dr Livingood,
Is it true that you cannot combine taking Calcium and Magnesium? I bought at Costco a multi supplement in 1 pill - Calcium citrate (500 mg) with magnesium (80 mg), D3 (20 mcg), and zinc (10mg). Are these good combinations? Is there equivalent supplements I can buy from your clinic? Thanks for providing informative videos.
I eat meat and lots of nuts. My ferritin levels are continually low. Years ago I had to take a supplement in order to give blood and even then it was barely high enough to give. The last time I decided I wouldn’t do it again unless absolutely necessary, as it made me feel sick for days.
I a lot of sauerkraut that takes care of digestive issues and also the K2 🤔
Me too. I make a fermented kraut but I add garlic and also thai chili peppers so it is spicy and great to eat.
I would recommend consulting your physician and working closely regarding your concerns. They will be able to work with you directly to see what is best for you! My serum ferritin levels are really low (I am vegetarian) so I've had to take iron every day but am about to have it rechecked and determine how I can keep my levels up via diet.
Be sure to add beans and leafy greens into your day for healthy iron levels! Combine these foods with food high in vitamin C for the best absorption! -LGD team
THANK GOD someone says the truth about heart-attacks and CALCIUM.

I’m 65 and I take iron because of poor absorption. I’m always cold and tired, and I have restless legs often. My hemoglobin is usually just barely in range, and my ferritin is always low. I want to get it up to 60, because I feel better. I think I’ve struggled with low iron all my life.

Excellent information! Very helpful.
I am 78 and decided to create a flow chart to see where I might be overdosing due to all the supplements I’ve taken habitually for years. Calcium was definitely one of those
I had incorporated K2 and a separate D3 together daily but now questioning if even the D3 should be limited?
What are your thoughts on limits of D3?
Hey there! I would just try a calcium-rich diet instead of supplementing it with calcium. Check out this article: drlivingood.com/forget-the-calcium-supplements/ Vitamin D3 and K2 are very important for bone health. We recommend D levels above 50. You can also check out our Bone health training to learn more! go.drlivingood.com/bone-a -LGD Team
D3 increases your absorption of calcium so you need to take magnesium as well to balance otherwise you can damage your bones

So how do you take K2 and avoid soy based supplements at the same time?
2:20 take K2, 5:00 Don't take Soy based supplements.
K2 is for heart health, blood vessel health, and the proper absorption of calcium into your bones so it does not end up in your arteries. Primary Vit K we need in our system is K2, especially when taking vitamin D! Check out this article: drlivingood.com/vitamin-k2-benefits-heart/

Dr. Livingood what about if you have had parathyroid surgery removing the parathyroid that puts to much calcium in your bloodstream ?.I am over 50 and am suppose to
take 600mg of calcium a day.

Hi I had Hyperparathyroidism surgery 9 months and My Endocrinologist said no Calcium needed ...I've been fine and I do have Osteoporosis...bone check in a few months takes 2 years for bones to rebuild. Get your calcium through your diet.
You are spot on this happened to my sister to much calcium is now in her arteries. Doctors wanted her to take calcium because of her osteoporosis. My sister is 74 but now she has a plaque buildup in your arteries and doctors don’t see the link between the calcium. They just told her to keep taking the calcium vitamins

I’ve looked everywhere for an answer for this…I wanted to take a good krill oil supplement for the omega 3 benefits and all it benefits. I take 10mg per day of Eliquis for two years now as I had Tavr then. I’m doing fine and do not have any bruising or bleeding issues. I’ve heard krill oil is absorbed better than fish oil. One article said the slowing of blood clotting can be caused by krill oil but rare. I was going to try, though more expensive, the Verified Research brand which has the recommended levels of EPA and DHA. I would love your opinion. I want to take the krill oil for all its benefits. I’m a 72 year old female. I currently take the K2 with D3 suggested by you. I stopped taking calcium supplements at least a year ago. Can you help me?
Research shows this specific concentrated fish oil will absorb better than krill. It’s why I developed it. Also it has the most absorbable turmeric so you get two for one: store.drlivingood.com/products/livingood-daily-omegas
