Unfortunately it seems like whoever made the Sunbreak video you watched excluded the dialougue like they normally have similar to Rise's, which is why there's that awkward freeze frame where the names of the monsters normally appear at but don't
Sunbreak is heavily themed after medieval Europe, they got the big monkey for Frankenstein, the werewolf, the Dracula dragon and the weird looking pentagram mouth monster to represent the demon that gave Dracula his power.
All the names of the monsters where the name wasn’t shown: Daimyo Hermitaur Garangolm Blood Orange Bishaten Shougun Ceanataur Aurora Somnacanth Lunagaron Astalos Seregios Magma Almudron Espinas Gore Magala Pyre Rakna-Kadaki Malzeno Shagaru Magala Gaismagorm Furious Rajang Scorned Magnamalo All in Order like you reacted to them! A huge update was released yesterday which added: Seething Bazelgeuse Gold Rathian Silver Rathalos And Lucent Nargacuga There are intros for these as well!
Thanks for letting us know about the names. When we check out the new ones we will have to see the video with all their proper introductions with poems and such 😅
@@DefinitelyNotDefinitiveGames It’s worth watching the full real intros they are beautiful in my opinion it will be a completely different experience than this was! And I also highly recommend watching them in Japanese it’s 100x better than English
17:51 I've always been interested in Gore Magala, mostly because of the lore that surrounds it. How this monster's black mist is a frenzy virus that corrupts other monsters to turn them berserk, and it's unique way of repopulating asexually that gives significance to its namesake. 20:41 plus the Gore is juvenile, and this monster is its adult form: Shagaru Magala. It's probably the only monster that isn't born an elder dragon but matures into one, and I loved how one of the ecology videos shows a Gore transitioning into a Shagaru.
@@SilentShadow423nope, gore magala(the juvenile form) is classified as an unknown class monster but once it matures into shagaru magala its an elder dragon. I absolutely love that monster. Its design and lore are amazing and its weapons and armor looks fantastic
Kind of sucks that they turned off the diologue and text for these--they give you alot more information about the monsters that you just miss out on. In order the sunbreak monsters were: Daimyo Hermitaur, a giant crap that wears the skull of a Monoblos as a shell. - Garangolm, a giant gorilla with stone plates growing from its body that is usually passive unless disturbed, in which case it covers the stone plates on its body in magma and moss giving it controle over water and fire. Its inspired by Frankenstein, and is pat of the Three Lords who are all inspired by classic horror movie monsters. - Blood-Orange Bishatan. A subspecies of regular Bishaten (the blue ones) the evolved to use explosive pinecones instead of poison fruit. - Shogun Ceanataur, a much deadlier cousin of Daimyo Hermitaur. It swaps its sells midcombat and frequently smahses its shell because it uses it in combat. A smooth shell is used like a club, a pointed shell like a drill, and if it gets ahold of a monster skull (In this game it belongs to Gravios) it can fire a stream of boiling water. - Aurora Somnatcanth. A subspecies of Somnacanth that evolves to used gas that freezes the air in an instant, rather than sleeping gas like regular Somnacanth. When enranged the gas gets cold enough to produces spears of ice. - Lunagaron is a wolf that when enraged, covers its body in ice and stands on its hind legs. The most basic of the Three Lords since there isn't much beyond that. It's inspired by the Wolf Man. Astalos (Or as my group has taken to calling it, the RGB Gamer Dragon) is a flying wyvern that can generate and channel lightning using the crest on its head, and its scales shimmer like stained glass when enranged. - Seregios uses its razor sharp scales like bullets, and can frill them out like a pinecone to make it even more dangerous to fight. - Magma Almudron is a subspecies of Almudron that uses lava instead of mud, and is a *really* annoying fight. The Lava Caverns are considered its sacred grounds. Espinas is a really unique entry into Sunbreak and one of my favorites. Its the second monster to be ported over from the Frontier spinoff games. Espinas is the only truly nuetral monster in the game, and will spend the entire hunt asleep until something attacks it. It's one of the toughest monsters in the game due to the fire it breaths containing special toxins that paralyze and poison you while you're on fire. - Gore Magala is a fan favorite in the series. It's so dangerous to research and defies the biology of the monster hunter universe so much that it doesn't have a classification like all other monsters do (Like elder dragons, fanged beasts, bird wyverns, etc.) The black/purple smoke it emits is known as the Frenzy Virus. Gore Magala was a key point of the story in its debut game since monsters were acting even more violent than usual due to contracting the Frenzy Virus, which is /essentially/ super rabies. Gore Magala is also an infant dragon who hasn't even developed its eyes yet. - Pyre Rakna-Kadaki is a subspecies of Rakna-Kadaki that is more intune with the fire element, and rather than using its young for mobility, uses them as weapons--launch them and creating silk wires that it then combusts to trap the battlefield. - Malzeno is the final, and most powerful, of the three lords. Its developed a mutually parasitic relationship with a small species known as Curio, which drain the life essence from other monsters. Malzeno has the unique ability to produce more life energy than the Qurio can produce, leading to them clinging to it instead of their Natural host Gaizmagorm. In turn they provide it with increased healing and frenzy. - Shagaru Magala is the adult form of Gore Magala, in complete control of the frenzy virus. This technically makes it easier to study since its not constantly emitting the virus, but this in turn has made it a far deadlier opponenent. - Gaismagorm is the true final monster behind all the destruction in Sunbreak (throughout the story you're lead to believe its Malzeno). You first learn about it as a myth, called the 'Archfiend of The Abyss' and its inspired by Satan/The Lord of the Hells/Etc. Its the true host of the Curio, obsorbing them after they've collected enough life energy which it then crystalizes on its back, using the energy for massively increased speed, power, and even minor flight capabilities. At certain points in the fight it absorbs the curio and uses their energy to produce what is essentially a nuclear detonation. - Furious Rajang is a Rajang that has endured so much battle that its lost its tail. Rajang use their tail to regulate the electric power the get after consuming the horns of Kirin (Lighting Unicorn)--without its tail, its locked in a permanently enraged, painful state where its powers are out of control. - Finally Scorned Magnamalo is just an old, super pissed off Magnamalo thats gotten so strong over years of battle that its control over hellfire has reached that point that its rumored to overrun the spirits of the damned and use them in combat.
@@slowloris7438 Yeah, but Espinas was made entirely by the Frontier team. Lavasioth and Hypnocatrice were a collab, so they're technically main series monsters that also appeared in Frontier.
Love the description for scorned magnamalo you gave 😂 Thanks for providing these. Bummer the dialogue was taken out of video, didn’t know that was something you could do in the game 🤔
You guys should react to the turf wars. Basically 2 monsters fighting during the actual missions. I would recommend watching the Iceborne turf wars first.
@@DefinitelyNotDefinitiveGames recommend you react to the UNIQUE turf wars. subspecies (like pink rathian and rathian, scorned magnamalo and magnamalo), or even just mosnters that are similar all use the exact same animations, and it does get tiresome after watching the same animation like 5 times.
The monster that started asleep is called espinas, and it was a massive shock to the players around the world because it originally belonged to a spinoff game called monster hunter frontier, and based on research that game was effing insane. Take monster hunter as you know it with hunters doing cool moves and fighting giant monsters to get equipment to fight stronger monsters, and turn it up well past eleven to the point of insanity. Even monster hunter players agree that frontier is very much on the WTF side, but in a fun way. Him being here opens up a whole new can of worms with frontier however, and if any of the monsters that are insane there make it to the mainline, God help us all.
You guys definitely need to see openings for the older games some time in the future! Love the interest for these monsters and the series so far. Looking forward for more!
Awesome reaction vid, guys! Since the TDS vid you reacted to didn't have any voiceover or subtitles at all, I'm just going to give you a quick rundown of what exactly you were seeing there. (Maybe you could do a reaction to all the Sunbreak intros but with voiceover in the future?) 8:16 Big red crab with shield-claws: Daimyo Hermitaur. Crab monsters wear skulls of other monsters as a shell. Crab monsters are kind of fan-favs since there are so few of them, and Sunbreak reintroduced them, which is pretty cool. 9:17 So all of Sunbreaks completely new monsters are based on european mythology/western monsters. The armored monkey with big fists is called Garangolm and he is based on the Frankenstein motive. During his fight he uses one fist coated with fiery rocks , and one coated in watery moss, allowing him to wield two elements at once. And if you break his face crest, he will patch it up with moss/rocks from the ground, giving him the patched-up Zombie/Frankenstein vibe. 10:19 Blood Orange Bishaten; an explosive pinecone-wielding subspecies of the normal fruit-throwing Bishaten. Breathes fire, and is more aggressive than regular Bishaten. 11:15 Big blue Scythe-claw crab: Shogun Ceanataur. Like his red crab friend, he finally returns for a glorious makeover in Sunbreak. Also uses a Monster skull as a shell. If during a fight the shell gets destroyed, he burrows underground to find a new one. 12:11 This is Aurora Somnacanth, a new monster introduced in Sunbreak, which had a normal version in Rise. Normal Somnacanth is based on the japanese siren motive; and while normal Somna uses sleep-inducing gas, Aurora Somna uses freezing cold icy air. 13:09 This is Lunagaron, a new Sunbreak monster, based on the werewolf motive. Correct assessment there, Ken. When Lunagaron goes into his enraged/ice-armor mode, he stands up on his hindlegs and fights more aggressively and in a more feral beast manner. 14:10 Astalos, the electrical dragonfly Dragon. One of the Fated Four (a quartet of powerful flagship monsters from MH Generations), returns in all his glory. Usually a golden-brown-greenish iridescent sheen, he becomes iridescent neon green when fully charged and a whole lot more aggressive. 14:53 Seregios, the Bladescale Wyvern. Affectionately named 'Steve' by both devs and fans, this fan-favourite flagship from MH4 absolutely hates Rathian with a passion. A very talented and able flyer, able to do mid-air turns, twists and flips; has crazy zygodactyl feet (parrot feet; two toes pointing forwards, two toes backwards, the most unique feet in the series, in my opinion.) Also, shoots sharp scales called 'Bladescales' that cause hunters to bleed; also pins hunters to the ground with said Bladescales, only to attack with his claws from the air. 15:53 Magma Almudron, a Sunbreak subspecies of the normally mud-dwelling Almudron introduced in Rise. Instead of creating mud pillars and waves, Magmadron creates explosive pillars of magma, and causes lava eruptions. 16:47 Espinas, the Thorny Rose Dragon. The crossover everyone wanted, and nobody thought to be possible. Espinas comes from a spin-off line of MH games called MH Frontier, which is known for even funkier monster designs (and names). He is Frontier's flagship, and relatively tame in terms of design, and well-loved. He causes poison, fire, and paralysis all at the same time. His fight always starts out with him sleeping, because he is so confident in his thick skin. After the little hunters annoy him enough to wake up, he goes into a super enraged mode, storming around trying to spear hunters with his horn and thorns, also whilst blasting poisonous, paralyzing fireballs everywhere. 17:32 This is huge. Gore Magala, the Black Eclipse Wyvern, and carrier of the frenzy virus. Gore Magala is another fan-favourite flagship from MH4, and super scary. He looks kind of like Ridley Scott's/H.R. Giger's alien; sleek, jet-black, and eyeless. Gore spreads the frenzy virus, a deadly disease that turns infected monsters into raging undead, ready for him to consume. When he unleashes his frenzy particles, they blot out sunlight, turning the surrounding area gray. He 'sees' by spreading pollen-like scales around, which become agitated in the air when something moves. When enraged, his antennae-horns unfurl, allowing him to sense his foes better, and he gets neon pink/purple highlights. Also, his wings are like a floating cloak/cape, which he opens when enraged to use his wing-arms for grabbing/running. 18:25 This is Pyre Rakna-Kadaki, another Sunbreak subspecies; Rise has regular Rakna, a spider brood-mother cloaked in a web-dress that uses her babies for battle. Pyre Rakna utilises webs and babies smarter, combining both into bomb with fuses. Positioning the babies on the battlefield, then connecting her webs to then and lighting then for maximum AoE explosiveness. 19:12 This is Sunbreak's flagship Elder Dragon, Malzeno, based on the vampire motive, and who controls a swarm of mysterious flying leeches called 'the Qurio'. They lure monsters, drain them, and feed Malzeno, very similar how vampires control bats (again, congrats to both of you for noticing that connection). he causes a unique blight called 'bloodblight', which causes afflicted hunters to enter a tug-of-war of blood: do nothing and slowly get drained of life, aggressively attack him to heal yourself and regain health. Malzeno has a super enraged state where he turns black with blood-red highlights and eyes; and while looking like this he fights even more aggressively and can teleport around the battlefield using the Qurio. 20:07 This is Shagaru Magala, the adult form of Gore Magala. When a Gore sheds its skin, it turns into a Shagaru. in this form, Shagaru has complete control over the frenzy virus, is even stronger, and has eyes. Also, the whole aesthetic is different: While Gore stands for darkness and death, Shagaru stands for light (and also death). (This is nicely represented in both Gore's and Shagaru's weapon designs). Shagaru has a super attack where he flies upwards and poses like a brilliant golden star (representing a heavenly weel/sun; stands for life and rebirth), and causes frenzy virus to erupt from the ground. 20:56 This is Sunbreak's final Boss: Gaismagorm, the Archdemon of the Abyss. He stands for the demon a vampire borrows power from (represented by Malzeno only having the Qurio on lease, basically, while they actually belong to Gaisma.) He is one of the most crazy final bosses; has a giant arsenal of devastating attacks, despite being very huge and lumbering. Hunters have to descend into a hole inside of a caved-in tower to fight him, with him periodically trying to crawl up and out of the hole. 21:38 This is furious Rajang, a well-loved variant of Rajang, the super-saiyajin monkey. Furious is always golden, has a short stub-tail is is very angry. Also, despite not being an Elder Dragon, has the power to absolutely destroy strong Elders, like Kushala Daora (the steely ice Dragon). 22:32 Scorned Magnamalo. Rise's Flagship monster was normal Magnamalo, a samurai-armor inspired tiger monster. Sunbreak introduced us to the scorned version, that sports an already destroyed horn, darker skin, longer and serrated arm-blades and dragon-element infused attacks (alongside Magnamalo's normal hellfire infused attacks.) Also R.I.P Zinogre, also known as thunder-puppy. And that's it. Sunbreak will add a whole lot of new subspecies and variants (on top of the already revealed Lucent Nargacuga, Seething Bazelgeuse, Silver Rathalos and Gold Rathian), so please react to those when they release. Also, maybe you guys could react to either the Rise locale intros, or to TDS's MH Rise size comparison, TDS's MH Lore vids (quite interesting, but MH World related mostly), or maybe some MH Rise/Sunbreak gameplay? Either way, have a great day, and thanks for this cool reaction video!
Gaismagorom does indeed look like an epic final boss. Good job on them for design. And thanks for helping us out with understanding these monsters some more 🙂
All the Sunbreak monsters have cool narrations too but perhaps the video u guys reacted to was an old one....the intros are way more epic with the new narration style and music..... a great reaction nonetheless. Also a brand new patch released in MH RIse that introduced 3-4 epic new monsters....worth a check if u got the time. I forgot to comment on the Smite video but i'm excited about ur reaction to the Hindu Gods pantheon since i'm a Hindu myself XD
it speaks to how well the monsters are designed that Malzeno was immediately recognizable as a vampire, and to a lesser extent, Lunagaron as a werewolf. that one it pretty obvious though 😂❤
The monster at 17:32 is the Gore Magala, one of my favorite being the flagship of my first and favorite MH game, MH4U Lore fact : • The Guild don't know in which category to put him because he defies so many rules. • He use what's called the Frenzy Virus, which turn other monsters REALLY aggressive, more powerful, and enable our in game character to regen HP naturally • Artisans are scared to use his scales and all because it is told to drive people crazy • The Gore Magala indeed have eyes, they are hidden by his horns which goes up when he is enraged and his frenzy mode, when he does so, he releases so much of his virus (which is pollen like if I remember well) that it stop the sun light of passing through • In fact the Gore Magala is a junevile Elder Dragon (which are living catastrophe), when he grow up in his adult form, his scale turn white/golden, his horns are always up, and he gains entire control over his virus, it is believed that the Shagaru Magala is the "foul wind that withered a mountain", and he is to a certain extent considered as a God I would love to see your reaction to the MH4U story cinematics, they are gorgeous for a 3DS and the story is amazing, the best character is the caravaneer, he is charismatic af
God Valstrax is so cool. I hope the dude who designed it got a raise. Also helps that it's gear and armor are super cool. You guys should check out a spin off called Monster Hunter Stories 2. It's basically Pokemon but with Monster Hunter, anyway there's a mechanic called Kinship attacks that are basically big cinematic special moves.
Here are the names for the sunbreak monster. They also had the poems taken out of their intro as well. 8:17 Daimyo Hermitaur 9:17 Garangolem 10:17 Blood Orange Bishaten 11:15 Shogun Ceantaur 12:12 Aurora Somnacanth 13:12 Lunagaron 14:10 Astalos 14:57 Seregios 15:46 Magma Almudron 16:48 Espinas 17:35 Gore Magala 18:28 Pyre Rakna-kadaki 19:15 Malzeno 20:11 Shagaru Magala 20:56 Gaismagorm (Final Boss) 21:41 Furious Rajang 22:35 Scorned Magnamalo.
That shagaru is actually the gore magala, shagaru is the golden one thats bigger and isnt blind. Gore is the adolescent and shagaru is the elder its my fav monster because its so damn adorable.
Yeah regarding the the base Sunbreak compilation, this seems to be something released during pre-launch which has the audio off while also being mostly out of order, Sunbreak’s still give dialogue for the monsters just with a different style for the majority given the context of being on a different part of the world, so probably a re-reaction to a compilation with dialogue on is in order while also reacting to the 4 intros for monsters that came in the recent title update.
The one that infects with the black smoke is my all time favorite monster, it first showed up in MHU4 and its called the Gore Magala. It infects with a thing called the frenzy virus that causes monsters to rage out on each other till they exhaust themselves and die. I love the design and abilities of the Gore Magala, its so adorable. It can evolve into the shigeru magala too.
Sunbreak, I figured this was going the be the Monster Hunter topic this Thursday. It’s so good to see so many new hunters coming in with this new expansion, I just beat the main campaign last week and am moving into the endgame farm. Now - for some lore in the monsters. Once again - I’ll avoid redundancy with Iceborne, so sorry Kushala and Teostra fans - no info on them. 2:45 Chameleons, he’s a toxic chameleon and one do the first elder dragons within the franchise. Chameleons is famous for stealing your items mid-hunt: healing items, food, and all kinds of utilities. He uses his long chameleon tongue to do so, and on top of that he can go invisible and spray a thick mist that covers your vision. You can stop his invisibility by breaking his horn! 6:52 Valstrax, he’s a rocket powered dragon. This special variant of the basic monster is known for sky diving his opponents from low orbit, causing a massive explosion upon landing. He’s terrifyingly fast, and on top of that can shoot lasers and rockets out of his wings made of pure energy. Valstrax was the flagship monster of MHXX or Generations Ultimate in the US. 8:20 Daimiyo Hermituar - the big ole crab from the original series. He’s using the skull of another monster called a Monoblos as a shell, and. An spit high pressure water blasts as his opponents. 9:53 Garangolm, his one of the three lords: monsters known within this expansion as lords of a given environment. The three lords are all designed after western cryptids and monsters: Garangolm is themed after Frankenstein’s Monster. 11:56 Shogun Cenataur, another giant grab. Unlike Daimyo, he uses his claws as two massive blades as opposed to a giant shield like his brother. He can also spit giant blasts of water, and is just as efficient at doing it. 13:35 Lunagaron, another one of the three lords. It’s an icey pupper as opposed to a lighting one. He can create an icey armor to cover himself in combat, and blast ice from his mouth and tail. Lunagaron is themed after the western concept of werewolves. When he enters his rage state, he stands up on his hind legs like a true werewolf and fights using his frozen claws and fangs. 14:35 Astalos, the lighting berserker, one of the flagships of MHX/generations he’s one of the fated four. He’s akin to a flying version of Zinogre, charging his body in combat in order to do stones he attacks. 15:25 Seregios, affectionately known within the community as “Steve”. He’s what we call a pinecone dragon, blasting razor shape at his opponents and causing a special status effect known as bleed. Bleed will worsen as you attack, slowly draining your health as you fight. He’s the flagship of MH4U. 16:55 Espinas, one do the first monsters appearing from a third party MH game: MH Frontier! This was an online MMO MH game, and Espinas was the flagship. Espinas translates to “thorn” in Spanish, and that’s an apt description. He has poisonous barbs and can shoot fire than can burn you, poison you, and paralyze you on the spot. He’s a slow to start kind of fighter, preferring to nap first and fight later. However, his fight ramps up as you continue. Kill it quick before he gets the chance to one shot you! 17:40 Gore Magala, one of my personal favorite monsters ever. Gore is themed after an insect as much as a dragon, and is capable of controlling what is called the Frenzy Virus. This virus will infect a host, kill it, and then revive it as a battle crazed monster. The monster will rampage for a few days before dying of exhaustion, starvation, or dehydration - where Gore will follow the special trail the virus leaves behind using his feelers. Free meal for Gore! The frenzy virus is highly infectious, and in humans it stops our natural ability to heal and duplicated cells. Imagine getting a cut that never closes, *ever.* That’s what the frenzy virus does to us. A fun fact, aside from sending frenzies infected, he’s totally blind. When Gore Magala enrages, be pumps so many frenzy virus particles in the sky that it looks like it’s nighttime. He’s the flagship of MH4. 19:15 Malzeno, the flagship of this expansion. He’s themed after the ever so famous Vlad Dracula Tepes himself: A.K.A vampires. Those little flying leeches are known as Quirio, they leech the life from other animals and return the blood and life force to Malzeno in trade for protection. A true vampire dragon.l. He moves so fast in game it appears as if he’s teleporting, leaving behind the Qurio’s like a vampire turning into a swarm of bats. 20:25 Shagaru Magala, the adult form of the younger Gore Magala. That black shell you see Gore have is actually a shell. It sheds this once it reaches maturity, trading in its black for shining gold. With its new eyes and full control over the frenzy virus, it can black out the skies with the particles the Frenzy leaves behind. 21:05 Gaismagorm, the true master of the Qurio. Those little leech buggers actually belong to him, they just left him behind in trade for Malzeno because it did a better job at letting the leeches eat. Gaismagorm only leeches off their energy, it doesn’t let them eat in their own. Malzeno will, hence why they left for a better host. He’s the final boss do Sunbreak, and is themed after the devil himself: satan.
I love that Bazelgeuse's cutscene involves it showing up in the middle of someone else's fight just to ruin their day, exactly like it does to you in-game
Technically "Dracula Dragon" is a slight redundancy. The original title of "Dracul" already means 'Dragon'. And "Dracula" means 'Son of the Dragon'. Essentially it'd read as "Dragon Dragon" or "Dragon, son of the Dragon".
Not sure if anyone has mentioned this yet, but if you two are interested in reacting to more monster hunter content, then I’d suggest checking out the content from Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin. It’s a spin-off game that allows the player to raise their own monster companions to fight alongside them as friends. Not only is there familiar faces for you two in terms of monsters, but monsters that weren’t present in World, Iceborne, Rise, nor Sunbreak (or at least as of writing this) (ex. A spider that wears the skin of its prey for protection, a gliding primate that has a trunk to spit balls of watery mucus and giant ears that it can use to cover its face like a mask, a shark-frog hybrid with an icy breath that can blow up like a balloon, an absolutely huge armoured mammoth who’s stomps alone can cause avalanches, etc), subspecies of monsters you’ve already seen such as Kirin (lightning unicorn-dragon) and Royal Ludroth (green water lizard with the puffy yellow mane), and two entirely new creations for this game alone. There’s the Razewing Rathalos, a one-of-a-kind Rathalos subspecies with dark powers it struggles to control and a mysterious Elder Dragon that’s worshipped by an enigmatic cult and who’s name and existence has been forgotten by history and serves as the lurking threat throughout the whole story. As for actual content to react to, there’s not only the enemy monster intros, but also Kinship Attacks (which are basically big attacks unique to each tamed monster, or “monstie” as the game calls them, with unique animations) as well as many cutscenes that go through the story, as one of the big selling points of Stories 2 is, well, that the story takes a much bigger role in those games than the main series, thus also leading to multiple interesting characters in those games as well. Fortunately, you don’t need to know anything about the first MH Stories game to enjoy the second game’s story either. Considering what happened with this video and accidentally choosing a version of the intros with no narration, titles, or monster names, though, imma just suggest (if you two are interested, that is) the cutscene compilation (or monster intros if you’re only interested in those) by goodgamez, and for kinship attacks, the kinship compilation by SuperRAD, the Ground Flare kinship attack Showcase by Lazy Hippo, and duo kinship attack showcase by RageGamingVideos (unfortunately, I don’t think there’s a video with all of those in it at once, but I guess that just goes to show just how much fresh content there is to enjoy here) Sorry if this was a long, ramble-y comment; I’m just always excited to see people experiencing one of my favourite franchises! Though, on a side note, this video has some pretty unfortunate timing, as new monsters to fight in Sunbreak have just dropped not too long ago, which means new intros as well, plus more to come in the near future. Though you could probably do the same thing as you did here by having your reactions to those be at the start of whatever possible monster hunter related reaction video you release next (if there is more to come in the future, that is), but I figured it was worth mentioning!
The video you used for the sunbreak ones had the lyrics and names edited out so i'll write the names in order for ya (some of which with titles, dont know all of em): [Daimyo Hermitaur], [Garangolm], [Blood Orange Bishaten], [Shogun Ceanataur], [Aurora Somnacanth], [Lunagaron], Thunderous Rage [Astalos], [Seregios] (Steve), [Magma Almudron], [Espinas], [Gore Magala], [Pyre Rakna Kadaki], [Malzeno] (Dracula Dragon), [Shagaru Magala], Archdemon of the Abyss [Gaismagorm], Super Simian [Furious Rajang], [Scorned Magnamalo] Also they added some more like 1-2 days ago but i aint spoiling those (even if its only like 4 monsters so far)
Yeah, the big three monsters of the story are called "The Kingdom Monsters" or 'The Three Lords" and you have Garangolm, who is based on a Golem and Frankenstein's Monster. Lunagaron, a werewolf, and then the "Flagship Monster" (the one that appears on most of the promo stuff) Malzeno, a vampire. There's even a quest later in the game called "Monster Mash" where you have to hunt all three of them at the same time.
First i like you very much, you are so interesting and your reactions are funny to watch. It's always a great pleasure to see you. If i can give you some recommedations maybe all Rider-Moves from Monster Hunter Stories 2 or something totally different, like all Awakenings and all Showtime Attacks from Persona 5 Royal. I think all unique Demon Attacks from Shin Megami Tensei V are also very interesting to watch.
You got to react to to the monster intros from monster hunter 4 ultimate. they are the best in the series. they are also called ecologys. Also hope you react to the proper version of the the intros for Sunbreak inculding the update that dropped yesterday.
So you finally got to see Valstrax which I gave you guys a heads up for from a previous video and it essentially has biological jet engines for wings. And you got to see one of the most unique and coolest monsters in monster hunter imo which is Gore Magala and it's adult form which is the golden Shagaru Magala.
You guys really should see the Sunbreak intros with the English verses and names. They make so much more of an impact with the verses and the names "Writhing in pain as if corrupted by something"... You're not wrong. The Frenzy Virus kills its victims, then brings them back as raging zombies that only 'live' a few hours but in that time they destroy everything and everyone in their path before they die their final death. That mechanic wasn't explored in Rise, really, but it was a major theme in the game from which Gore Magala and its adult form Shagaru Magala originally came What Teostra actually does is release clouds of scale dust from its body. The scale dust is extremely combustible. Then it grinds its fangs to produce a spark and ignite the scale dust, causing powerful explosions. He can also breathe straight fire. Teo earned his title Emperor of Flame
Chameleos' gear is low key top tier, when paired with pieces of two other dragon's pieces as armor, you are literally unable to be killed. The "Magma hands" Monster is Garangolm. He is the "Frankenstein" of the Legendary Horror Monsters, which form the Apex monsters of Sunbreak. Bishaten is the pine cone monkey parrot. The crabs are Hermitaur and Ceanataur and the spider is Rakna-Kadaki. The frosty dragon is Somnacanth, who usually does sleep gas. The Werewolf is Lunagaron, a literal cross of Odagaron and Thunder Puppy and one of the Horror monsters. The lightning dragon is Astalos, a fan favorite. The shuriken dragon is Seregios, one of the flagships from a previous game and one of the most requested to return. The "cobra monster" is Almudron, and this version punches way above his weight. The Spikey Boi is Espinas, and he has by far been the most requested to return aside from one other monster, whom is basically Fatalis crossed with an Alien and hes the next guy in the video. Gore Magala is essentially the Nergigante of Sunbreak. He doesn't care what kind of dragon or wyvern or whatever you are, you're going down. He carries a plague which no known Wyvern or Elder is immune to, and it spreads like wildfire. The final member of our Horror Apex is Malzeno, and she is every bit a boss monster as she seems to be. The monster after Malzeno is the adult form of Magala called Shagaru... and it's not even his final form. The "Demon Dragon" is the secret boss of Subreak, Gasmagorm; he's a chonky boi and has an event battle like Zorah Magdaros was in World. Super Saiyan Monke of course needs no introduction. Pink Cat of infinite cheese is Magnamalo, and instead of being the Nergigante of Sunbreak, he's kind of considered a meme, probably because his fight is extremely unfun unless you have pretty cheesy gear, and he's the literally the monster that goes "NUH UH I HAVE KEVLAR VEST" during cops and robbers. Also also... you guys should have a Dragon Draft Off.
The order this was put in was Daimyo haurmataur Garongolm Blood orange bishaten (variant) Shogun ceanature Aurora Somnicanth (variant) Lunagaron Astalos Seregios Magma Almudron (variant) Espinas Gore magala Pyre Rakna-kadaki (variant) Malzeno (flagship) Shagaru magala (variant) Spoiler Spoiler Spoiler Gaismagorm (final boss) Furious rajang (variant Scorned magnamalo (variant) (not a puppy or a thunder puppy) So if you see this you can know what it’s called If you were wondering
I like how they just said "hmm k." For Rajang....when the MH crowd knows he's one of the most bastardly things in the game lol. They said "K"....I saw "damn.....I f-ing hate this guy" 😆
Shame about the lack of voice over for the sunbreak set but I think it's cool you got to experience the Japanese voice over for the last set of pre-sunbreak monsters the Shigin/Kabuki poetry reading is very fitting for the games overall style.
So not sure why the sunbreak monsters had no voiceovers I wasn't even aware you can do that. I'd recommend watching these again this time with voiceovers as it helps give an idea of the monster. Now fun fact the main monsters introduced in this are based on horror mythologies. I'll explain them all. 9:19 The first one being Garangolm, this is a fanged beast based on Frankenstein Monster or Golems. It has the ability to stick it's hands into the ground and one hand will be covered in explosive lava and the other water. As you seen it's a monkey type Fanged Beast and while it's not among the most powerful of the Three Lords as he and the next two monsters are dubbed he's dangerous in his own unique way. 13:06 This is Lungaron and as you correctly guessed he is based on Werewolves. He's an ice Fanged Wyvern, and he even has a Turf War with Zinogre which is ironic because they are both weak to each other. Zinogre is weak to ice and Lunagron is weak fire and thunder. He's unique in that he has different phases of transformation and when he achieves it he will stand on his hind legs and slash with his front legs. 19:17 Malzeno is based on Vampires and Dracula as you correctly surmised he commands a parasitic creature called Quiro which suck the life force from all life and it uses this to become stronger. Malzeno can teleport a very rare feat for a monster, and he also has the ability to feast on a hunter's life force and become very powerful and devastating. He is the last and greatest of the three lords. With that done I can explain certain monsters that appear. 21:27 this is Gaismagorm the last main monster, and the final boss. This monster is based on the Devil and even has a relationship with Malzeno much like how Dracula had a relationship with Satan. Gaismagorm is the true master of the Quiro and has a giant body, it is malevolent and powerful and can fire giant beams and create explosions and light itself on fire. 15:12 this is Seregios, he is called the Bladescale Wyvern this is because it can fire it's golden scales from it's body and these scales are as sharp as swords if not sharper. Seregios is a fast moving and dangerous wyvern as being hit by it's scales gives the Bleeding status effect, if you move or attack while afflicted by this you will take damage for doing this. You might think this monster is similar to Bazelguese but the only similarity they have is that their scales are weapons and not much else. Seregios is fast, and precise, while Bazelgeuse is big and area of effecting. 16:47 this is Espinas, Espinas is unique in that it's a monster from a spinoff of Monster Hunter called Monster Hunter online it is a MMO version of Monster Hunter that as never released for the US. Espinas is curious in that it is very lethargic it likes to sleep alot and it can be difficult to wake it up. But if you do wake it up this monster is ready to give you hell with fireballs that will paralyze, poison AND burn you all at the same time. Espinas is also one of the few monsters willing to tangle with an elder dragon as it will often fight Kushala Daora's. This monster is a poisonous wreckingball of mayhem. 17:55 This is Gore Magala believe it or not this monster is actually the Juvenile form for an Elder Dragon that appears later on. However this is currently the only monsters with the ??? classification as it is unclear as to what it is. It's not an elder dragon but it's appearance and body is too unique to be conisdered just a normal monster. It has 3 main features, number 1 this monster is blind as it has no eyes. Number 2 as you saw it has claws on it's wings this allows it to grab or move across the ground faster and are incredible strong. Finally number 3, the black and purple mist it emits is actually a virus called the Frenzy Virus. This monster was the flagship monster of MH4 and it's virus was the main mechanic as it could infect other monsters, driving them crazy and making them stronger as well. This virus also allows Gore Magala to see as it can sense the virus and if anything touches the virus it's instantly on Gore Magala's radar. 20:22 this is Shagaru Magala the full grown form of Shagara Magala. This monster is an Elder Dragon and by lore one of the most powerful Elder Dragons. It's blackened form is now golden with hard scales, blood red eyes, and even greater control of it's frenzy power. This monster is a walking plague as it can emit the Frenzy Virus in such great density it changes the color of the surrounding. 21:47 this is Furious Rajang, the normal Rajang turns golden when it's angered. Furious Rajang is always angry 24/7 this anger not only makes it stronger but it can get even angrier an become even more powerful. This anger let's it go toe to toe with elder dragons with ease and it never backs down from a fight. It is called the Super Simian. Sorry I was a bit all over the place but since you didn't get their names I thought I'd fill in a few of them. If you do the intros of DLC monsters I'd recommend not using Team Darksides I don't know why they did the video that way but it really lowers the quality of videos for newer players who have no idea what the monsters are.
What zinogre (thunder wolf/pup) was fighting is a scorned magnamalo (the samurai tiger). Both are the same monster class but are not related at all. after all one is a wolf and the other is a tiger
Fun fact: The monster at 17:22 is called Espinas. This thing's scales are so heavily armored and sharp that it doesn't actively hunt for its food. Instead, it just plops down, curls up and goes to sleep. Why? Because it's covered in super-ultra-mega-giga-poisonous spikes. Yeah, this thing is so tough that it lets its prey think "Ooo, a sleeping monster! Easy food for me!", only for it to kill itself on the Espinas's spikes, leaving a bunch of fresh meat for it to eat when it wakes up. Can you imagine being so tough and so passively lethal that you can get in a fight with someone and win by just standing there doing NOTHING?! The damn thing even starts out its fight in-game SLEEPING! The monster actively kicks your ass by tossing and turning in it's sleep!! One of the best monsters in existence for sure.
I'd like to tell you that the last monster you reacted to was called a Scorned Magnamalo, it is essentially an enraged Magnamalo that is unable to find a mate. This is because regular Magnamalos determine a mate from their horns, and when one of them gets a broken horn, they're essentially ostracized and become extremely aggressive.
They’d have to be given a specific video though, many of them are outdated or have no narrator. The video by channel name “Magma Almudron” seems to have all proper intros though
@@personguy2262 Yeah, I found one that goes back a month and it goes all the way up to Primordial Malzeno. Doing a double to check to make sure it does have all the monsters though. Yup, legit.
You guys should react to another version of the video that features the dialogue. Whereas the base Rise game had a Japanese aesthetic/theme, the Sunbreak expansion is base more around medieval Europe, and the presentation of the intro scenes mirrors that. Funny that you called Malzeno a "Dracula dragon," because that's _exactly_ what he is. Magnamalo, the base game's flagship monster, was modeled a Japanese Oni demon to be in-line with the game's aesthetic theme. Malzeno is the flagship monster of the Sunbreak expansion, and following suit, he's based on the Western/European character Dracula to be in-line with the expansion's western theme. There are two other monsters who, along with Malzeno, are referred to as "The Three Lords" and they are all based on Western horror monsters. The first of the three is the "gorilla golem" called Garangolm, and it's based on Frankenstein's Monster. The second is the ice wolf, called Lunagaron, who is based on a werewolf (it even stands up on its hind legs, during certain phases of the hunt), and the third and most powerful is, obviously, Malzeno. Those pinkish flying leeches around Malzeno are called Qurio, with whom it shares a symbiotic relationship, and they're (as far as we know right now) sourced from that giant monster with the gaping mouth covered in red crystal called Gaismagorm, who is essentially the game's interpretation of The Devil, from whom Malzeno "acquired" the Qurio akin to how Dracula's power was sourced from The Devil.
For the Gold and Black monster that have six limbs, those are Gore Magala (black) and Shagaru Magala (gold), they control a virus known as the frenzy virus, which is essentially a zombie virus that kills its host and comes back stronger, they are unique as they aren’t even Elder Dragons which are meant to be the most powerful class of monster. Gore and Shagaru both go into the ??? Category and Gore is just a juvenile of Shagaru
The one that left it's prey is Gore Magala. It has rabies living symbiotically inside it, unharmed. It attacks things, gives them rabies, then comes back later to eat them after they died. And if the rabid animal spread the rabies to more things in it's rage, then they will also eventually die, so it can come back for those as well. It was the big bad of an entire previous game, as you can imagine how that would destroy an ecosystem.
I think whoever uploaded the video that you guys have watch, didn’t put the dialogue and the name in it. The sunbreak is similar to base rise. So I recommend watching different video of the dialogue since the video that you guys watch didn’t have the name and the dialogue.
I put this on a different video too, but this link has the names and titles if you want to see that to~ ruclips.net/video/wXX-PBbAeOg/видео.html&ab_channel=BossFightDatabase This channel also has a couple of others that aren't in the compilation~
Honestly I'd highly recommend watching some of RageGaming's ecology videos for monsters. They're a bit outdated, having been made when World was coming out, but they're still loads of fun to watch.
That last one was Scorned Magnemalo vs Zinoga that wasn't a dick move Magnemalo did that was a classic Samurai move. Charge towards your opponent and Striking with a single sword swing and then shows who the victor is as the loser falls behind them. Considering Magnamalo's design is based on samurai armor and he's got blades on his fore limbs that act like Katana swords
oh man, I hope you guys get to rewatch the sunbreak intros with Dialogue and Texts this time to get their names and descriptions on how they live. Dammit TDS, why did u do this? Such a bad way to introduce monsters to non-players.
TDS was such a solid recommendation for channel and came highly regarded we didn’t even think to double check if the poems were taken out on their end or in game 😢
@@DefinitelyNotDefinitiveGames I know TDS is highly recommended but most of their work is mostly for actual players (casuals and veterans) and speedrunners.
If you guys would like some more Monster Hunter stuff to watch, I’d recommend Monster Hunter Stories 2: All Kinship Attacks. The Tl;Dr for Monster Hunter Stories is that it’s essentially what you get if you threw Monster Hunter and How to train your Dragon into a blender, complete with a much more cartoony/anime art style than what Monster Hunter normally uses. The Kinship Attacks are basically the super moves that the monsters and other characters can perform in the game; some of them are funny, others are absolutely badass. I would recommend this video as it contains every single kinship in the game since it’s last update ruclips.net/video/Nl7E2ajzDOw/видео.html (only downside is that the monsters’ names aren’t highlighted but you can probably recognize most of them since they were in Rise, World and Iceborne)
For some reason the people who made the video you watched turned the dialogue and monster names off. We just got four more monsters added to the game and there will be more in the future.
the japanese voice is so much less imposing and intimidating than the english....dude sounds like he's singing a song rather than introducing a scary monster
Wait did Kushala not get an intro in the base game? I guess I either forgot or he just has his intro in this video for some reason. I mean they did the same thing to Bagelgoose in World so I could be wrong. Wait did this hapen to all the Elder Dragons? What happened? Edit: NVM I read the description. I do be skipping the intros though sometimes. Hey if you guys read this do you think you'd ever react to the full Pentakill Lost Chapter video from LoL? It was a full concert they did with the band hooked up to a mocap suit. The graphics arent amazing but that;s because it was all done in real time. It's super cool.
Check out the updated reaction video with all DLC intros for Sunbreak including dialogue. ruclips.net/video/RxuXVZX9EZU/видео.html

Thanks for the fun facts on Gore Magala 🙂
Wait it isn’t born into an elder ?
@@SilentShadow423 gore is classified as ??? For some reason
@@SilentShadow423nope, gore magala(the juvenile form) is classified as an unknown class monster but once it matures into shagaru magala its an elder dragon. I absolutely love that monster. Its design and lore are amazing and its weapons and armor looks fantastic
@@vincentpey3929its because its the icon monster for MH4U and its a lore based reason why its unknown.
Kind of sucks that they turned off the diologue and text for these--they give you alot more information about the monsters that you just miss out on. In order the sunbreak monsters were:
Daimyo Hermitaur, a giant crap that wears the skull of a Monoblos as a shell.
-
Garangolm, a giant gorilla with stone plates growing from its body that is usually passive unless disturbed, in which case it covers the stone plates on its body in magma and moss giving it controle over water and fire. Its inspired by Frankenstein, and is pat of the Three Lords who are all inspired by classic horror movie monsters.
-
Blood-Orange Bishatan. A subspecies of regular Bishaten (the blue ones) the evolved to use explosive pinecones instead of poison fruit.
-
Shogun Ceanataur, a much deadlier cousin of Daimyo Hermitaur. It swaps its sells midcombat and frequently smahses its shell because it uses it in combat. A smooth shell is used like a club, a pointed shell like a drill, and if it gets ahold of a monster skull (In this game it belongs to Gravios) it can fire a stream of boiling water.
-
Aurora Somnatcanth. A subspecies of Somnacanth that evolves to used gas that freezes the air in an instant, rather than sleeping gas like regular Somnacanth. When enranged the gas gets cold enough to produces spears of ice.
-
Lunagaron is a wolf that when enraged, covers its body in ice and stands on its hind legs.
-
Seregios uses its razor sharp scales like bullets, and can frill them out like a pinecone to make it even more dangerous to fight.
-
Magma Almudron is a subspecies of Almudron that uses lava instead of mud, and is a *really* annoying fight.
-
Gore Magala is a fan favorite in the series.
-
Pyre Rakna-Kadaki is a subspecies of Rakna-Kadaki that is more intune with the fire element, and rather than using its young for mobility, uses them as weapons--launch them and creating silk wires that it then combusts to trap the battlefield.
-
Malzeno is the final, and most powerful, of the three lords.
-
Shagaru Magala is the adult form of Gore Magala, in complete control of the frenzy virus. This technically makes it easier to study since its not constantly emitting the virus, but this in turn has made it a far deadlier opponenent.
-
Gaismagorm is the true final monster behind all the destruction in Sunbreak (throughout the story you're lead to believe its Malzeno).
-
Furious Rajang is a Rajang that has endured so much battle that its lost its tail. Rajang use their tail to regulate the electric power the get after consuming the horns of Kirin (Lighting Unicorn)--without its tail, its locked in a permanently enraged, painful state where its powers are out of control.
-
Finally Scorned Magnamalo is just an old, super pissed off Magnamalo thats gotten so strong over years of battle that its control over hellfire has reached that point that its rumored to overrun the spirits of the damned and use them in combat.
There’s actually 3 monsters from frontier including espinas, one is lavasioth and the other is hypnocatrice.
Daimyo being a giant crap 😭😭😭
Espinas is actually the third monster to come from frontier. Hypnocatrice and Lavasioth came before it.
You guys should react to the turf wars. Basically 2 monsters fighting during the actual missions. I would recommend watching the Iceborne turf wars first.
That would be great
We do want to check those out for some fight night Fridays 😁
Wtf in a fun way is right up our alley 😂
You guys definitely need to see openings for the older games some time in the future!
Love the interest for these monsters and the series so far. Looking forward for more!
We plan to check out older games MH4 comes up a lot 🤗
Awesome reaction vid, guys! Since the TDS vid you reacted to didn't have any voiceover or subtitles at all, I'm just going to give you a quick rundown of what exactly you were seeing there.
(Maybe you could do a reaction to all the Sunbreak intros but with voiceover in the future?)
8:16 Big red crab with shield-claws: Daimyo Hermitaur.
And thanks for helping us out with understanding these monsters some more 🙂
So Hyped To See You Finally Reacting To Sunbreak Intros :)
Unfortunately video we watched didn’t have the words 😢
@@DefinitelyNotDefinitiveGames That Im Guessing Is A Way To Avoid The Spoilers For People Who Havent Played It Yet.
Thanks for letting us know about the new monsters that got released. Do they have plans to release another patch in future 🤔
@@DefinitelyNotDefinitiveGames very likely they will.....mhw iceborne got multiple patches after initial release.
They are still releasing monsters for sunbreak, be sure to check those out when they are done releasing new content
Yess I've been waiting
Awe man, you guys missed out on the dialect on the Sunbreak monsters
Big time
So glad yall get the names right so often
it speaks to how well the monsters are designed that Malzeno was immediately recognizable as a vampire, and to a lesser extent, Lunagaron as a werewolf. that one it pretty obvious though 😂❤
The monster at 17:32 is the Gore Magala, one of my favorite being the flagship of my first and favorite MH game, MH4U
Lore fact :
• The Guild don't know in which category to put him because he defies so many rules.
• He use what's called the Frenzy Virus, which turn other monsters REALLY aggressive, more powerful, and enable our in game character to regen HP naturally
• Artisans are scared to use his scales and all because it is told to drive people crazy
• The Gore Magala indeed have eyes, they are hidden by his horns which goes up when he is enraged and his frenzy mode, when he does so, he releases so much of his virus (which is pollen like if I remember well) that it stop the sun light of passing through
• In fact the Gore Magala is a junevile Elder Dragon (which are living catastrophe), when he grow up in his adult form, his scale turn white/golden, his horns are always up, and he gains entire control over his virus, it is believed that the Shagaru Magala is the "foul wind that withered a mountain", and he is to a certain extent considered as a God
I would love to see your reaction to the MH4U story cinematics, they are gorgeous for a 3DS and the story is amazing, the best character is the caravaneer, he is charismatic af
You guys are awesome!! I love your reaction videos. Keep up the awesome work 😁
Thanks, Nate! 🥰🤗
Gore Magala is my absolute favorite monster from the complete monster hunter franchise. i am so happy he´s back
Loved watching this reaction.
Glad you enjoyed it! We wish we would’ve known the words got taken out just for this video. We thought the game decided to go in another direction 🤗
I saw monster hunter and got so hyped for this!!!
😎🤟🥳
This is good. I love the gameplay.
18:32 - 18:37
Little spider: Thanks mom.
Here are the names for the sunbreak monster. They also had the poems taken out of their intro as well.
8:17 Daimyo Hermitaur
9:17 Garangolem
10:17 Blood Orange Bishaten
11:15 Shogun Ceantaur
12:12 Aurora Somnacanth
13:12 Lunagaron
14:10 Astalos
14:57 Seregios
15:46 Magma Almudron
16:48 Espinas
17:35 Gore Magala
18:28 Pyre Rakna-kadaki
19:15 Malzeno
20:11 Shagaru Magala
20:56 Gaismagorm (Final Boss)
21:41 Furious Rajang
22:35 Scorned Magnamalo.
That shagaru is actually the gore magala, shagaru is the golden one thats bigger and isnt blind. Gore is the adolescent and shagaru is the elder its my fav monster because its so damn adorable.
Los amoooo, estaba esperando esta react
Gore Magala (purple one that kicked Goss Harags ass) is my personal fav especially since he use's a virus called the frenzy.
Sunbreak réaction ?! Okay she so beautiful and very cute ❤
Chameleons is famous for stealing your items
mid-hunt: healing items, food, and all kinds of utilities.
I recommend the black desert character trailers, great video :D guys
Nothing better than Monster hunter on a good ol Thursday
I love that Bazelgeuse's cutscene involves it showing up in the middle of someone else's fight just to ruin their day, exactly like it does to you in-game
Him “come at me Dracula dragon”
Me “you just summed up sunbreak in five words good job”
Technically "Dracula Dragon" is a slight redundancy. The original title of "Dracul" already means 'Dragon'. And "Dracula" means 'Son of the Dragon'.
Essentially it'd read as "Dragon Dragon" or "Dragon, son of the Dragon".
well!!! son of a dragon is a dragon after all XD
Considering what happened with this video and accidentally choosing a version of the intros with no narration, titles, or monster names, though, imma just suggest (if you two are interested, that is) the cutscene compilation (or monster intros if you’re only interested in those) by goodgamez, and for kinship attacks, the kinship compilation by SuperRAD, the Ground Flare kinship attack Showcase by Lazy Hippo, and duo kinship attack showcase by RageGamingVideos (unfortunately, I don’t think there’s a video with all of those in it at once, but I guess that just goes to show just how much fresh content there is to enjoy here)
Sorry if this was a long, ramble-y comment; I’m just always excited to see people experiencing one of my favourite franchises!
Thanks for giving us the specific videos to check out. Always helpful 🙂😀
The video you used for the sunbreak ones had the lyrics and names edited out so i'll write the names in order for ya (some of which with titles, dont know all of em):
[Daimyo Hermitaur], [Garangolm], [Blood Orange Bishaten], [Shogun Ceanataur], [Aurora Somnacanth], [Lunagaron], Thunderous Rage [Astalos], [Seregios] (Steve), [Magma Almudron], [Espinas], [Gore Magala], [Pyre Rakna Kadaki], [Malzeno] (Dracula Dragon), [Shagaru Magala], Archdemon of the Abyss [Gaismagorm], Super Simian [Furious Rajang], [Scorned Magnamalo]
Also they added some more like 1-2 days ago but i aint spoiling those (even if its only like 4 monsters so far)
Y'all should re-react to these intros but with the haiku and names of the monsters!! I feel like y'all would love the intros more
Yeah we didn’t realize these cut those out somehow 🤗 but we heard there are more to check out so we will circle back to it with the new ones 🙂
Starting from the Sunbreak intros.
Daimyo Hermitaur
Garangolm
Blood Orange Bishaten
Shogun Ceanataur
Aurora Somnacanth
Lunagaron
Astalos
Seregios
Magma Almudron
Espinas
Gore Magala
Pyre Rakna-Kadaki
Malzeno
Shageru Magala
Gaismagorm
Furious Rajang
Scorned Magnamalo
;-)
You got to react to to the monster intros from monster hunter 4 ultimate. they are the best in the series. they are also called ecologys.
Also hope you react to the proper version of the the intros for Sunbreak inculding the update that dropped yesterday.
When we check out the update that dropped we will watch the proper intros for all 🙂
So you finally got to see Valstrax which I gave you guys a heads up for from a previous video and it essentially has biological jet engines for wings. And you got to see one of the most unique and coolest monsters in monster hunter imo which is Gore Magala and it's adult form which is the golden Shagaru Magala.
Biological jet engines is such a perfect way to describe it 🤩
If you want to react to more monster hunter content I highly recommend the ecology cutscenes from generations ultimate.
Nah, use the ones from 4u, GU barely has any.
3u
Ecology cutscenes are on our list to check out 🙂
Please go thru the Sunbreak video with audio and captions you'll like it. Dracula (son of dragon).
You guys really should see the Sunbreak intros with the English verses and names. They make so much more of an impact with the verses and the names
"Writhing in pain as if corrupted by something"... You're not wrong. The Frenzy Virus kills its victims, then brings them back as raging zombies that only 'live' a few hours but in that time they destroy everything and everyone in their path before they die their final death. That mechanic wasn't explored in Rise, really, but it was a major theme in the game from which Gore Magala and its adult form Shagaru Magala originally came
What Teostra actually does is release clouds of scale dust from its body.
The order this was put in was
Daimyo haurmataur
Garongolm
Blood orange bishaten (variant)
Shogun ceanature
Aurora Somnicanth (variant)
Lunagaron
Astalos
Seregios
Magma Almudron (variant)
Espinas
Gore magala
Pyre Rakna-kadaki (variant)
Malzeno (flagship)
Shagaru magala (variant)
Spoiler
Spoiler
Spoiler
Gaismagorm (final boss)
Furious rajang (variant
Scorned magnamalo (variant) (not a puppy or a thunder puppy)
So if you see this you can know what it’s called
If you were wondering
I like how they just said "hmm k." For Rajang....when the MH crowd knows he's one of the most bastardly things in the game lol. They said "K"....I saw "damn.....I f-ing hate this guy" 😆
Haha, we actually didn’t like him when we saw him rip the horn of the unicorn in another video 😂🤗
Shame about the lack of voice over for the sunbreak set but I think it's cool you got to experience the Japanese voice over for the last set of pre-sunbreak monsters the Shigin/Kabuki poetry reading is very fitting for the games overall style.
It's not Japanese. It's Wyverian.
oh its new and i just came home wow xD perfect timing
I might also suggest to watch all the Sunbreak intros now that all the updates are concluded, preferably with dialogue.
6:54 BEHOLD!!!!! THE LEGENDARY
R O C K E T!!!
P O W E R E D!!!
E L D E R D R A G O N!!!!
Bethany is a Gunlancer. Everyone knows you can't have a party without Bazel.
I think something to react to, would be Turf wars, Monster hunter 4 cutscenes, or Generations ultimate cutscenes.
Smite AND Monster Hunter in 1 day? Nice.
I know this video is pretty old now, but why not rewatch the intros with dialogue? They just released the final update a few days ago.
Yup, legit.
4 new monsters in Sunbreak came out yesterday.
Also maybe you should look at the turf wars!
dang, that rajang went super saiyan 3 lol
LOVE mh one of my favourite games♥️♥️
The nature of monster hunter coming up next
Magnamalo is modeled more after Samurai than Oni. Goss Harag is based on Oni.
I think you got a different version from the one I saw for the Sunbreak intros. There is also one with poems and the names.
Shagaru is an Elder
17:31
Fight it yourself, and you’ll see why it’s terrifying
Haha, nope 😨😳
Hey! Got a riddle for ya!
Who rocks!?
YOU GUYS FUGGIN ROCK!! ❤️❤️❤️
(I admit i could have tried harder but hey the message is what matters 😂)
The one that left it's prey is Gore Magala. It has rabies living symbiotically inside it, unharmed. It attacks things, gives them rabies, then comes back later to eat them after they died. And if the rabid animal spread the rabies to more things in it's rage, then they will also eventually die, so it can come back for those as well.
It was the big bad of an entire previous game, as you can imagine how that would destroy an ecosystem.
19:00 Spider mama with C4 spider babies lol
I think whoever uploaded the video that you guys have watch, didn’t put the dialogue and the name in it. The sunbreak is similar to base rise. So I recommend watching different video of the dialogue since the video that you guys watch didn’t have the name and the dialogue.
I put this on a different video too, but this link has the names and titles if you want to see that to~
ruclips.net/video/wXX-PBbAeOg/видео.html&ab_channel=BossFightDatabase
This channel also has a couple of others that aren't in the compilation~
i played this game and i feel like the "git gud" kind of gemer lol
Thanks, Mh have the best reactions.
Did you guys played Mh before?
Just for info, the reason why the Japanese Haiku intro stopped was because Sunbreak happens on more of a western region and the intro normalised
Honestly I'd highly recommend watching some of RageGaming's ecology videos for monsters. They're a bit outdated, having been made when World was coming out, but they're still loads of fun to watch.
17:29 Oh you absolute FOOL!
😎👍🙂
oh man, I hope you guys get to rewatch the sunbreak intros with Dialogue and Texts this time to get their names and descriptions on how they live.
In game they actually have the names, and the poems that are spoken during the intro, just for whatever reason, this specific uploader edited them out
If you guys would like some more Monster Hunter stuff to watch, I’d recommend Monster Hunter Stories 2: All Kinship Attacks.
I would recommend this video as it contains every single kinship in the game since it’s last update
ruclips.net/video/Nl7E2ajzDOw/видео.html
(only downside is that the monsters’ names aren’t highlighted but you can probably recognize most of them since they were in Rise, World and Iceborne)
Its unlucky that you guys picked the teamdarkside one for sunbreak. The dialoge is always so good, still enjoyed it
Bazelguese is based on a B52 bomber so all the war comparisons are apt
hello! Very Nice tô see your reaction ! Greetings Brazil 😀
Are you going to make a reaction to the trailers and gameplay of Uncharted The Lost legacy or The last of us part 2 ?
For some reason the people who made the video you watched turned the dialogue and monster names off. We just got four more monsters added to the game and there will be more in the future.
There are simmilar Games like God Eater with cool Monster designs not like Monster hunter but still Good ones can recommend it to you
Hm, have you watched Arcane: Bridging the Rift yet?
the japanese voice is so much less imposing and intimidating than the english....dude sounds like he's singing a song rather than introducing a scary monster
Yay to bad the sunbreak video you picked didn't have the words or monster names
Could you pls react to monster hunter stories kinship attacks i think u would enjoy it😁
Wait did Kushala not get an intro in the base game? I guess I either forgot or he just has his intro in this video for some reason. I mean they did the same thing to Bagelgoose in World so I could be wrong.
Wait did this hapen to all the Elder Dragons? What happened?
Edit: NVM I read the description. I do be skipping the intros though sometimes.
Hey if you guys read this do you think you'd ever react to the full Pentakill Lost Chapter video from LoL?
It was a full concert they did with the band hooked up to a mocap suit. The graphics arent amazing but that;s because it was all done in real time. It's super cool.
It’s because they were added with free dlc for rise.
You should react to old older monster hunter games like freedom unite
fun fact if you reshuffle the letters in Teostra's name it spells toaster
wit hthe first titale update, there's 4 more monster intros
