A big part of this series that I think tends to go unnoticed as of late is how the monsters aren’t simply monsters. They’re big animals that work and live in a functional ecosystem and we’re slapped in the middle and need to uphold our side of keeping order as a part of the cycle of life and not as an external outside force. These monsters aren’t like magical deities or a random demonic creature roaming a field, these are animals. And for the most part they act and behave like animals with fun personalities and crazy biological adaptations that are not only explained but fun to look at, learn about, and then exploit in combat. Oh this thing has a throat sac full of igniting powder, if it hit it in the face while it’s heating up I can make it explode. Actually figuring out how your opponent works on a biological level gives you a better chance at fighting them which is why this series is so good. They somehow perfectly balance the monsters to be both natural creatures and likeable characters and it’s just lovely.
One great one is Gypceros (spelling these monsters is hard) who is a rubbery duck with a flash grenade on its head. That rubbery skin thing effects in play as well, it's super resistant to electric damage and its immune to shock traps. This comes up some more, because there's a sweet spider monster that is super weak to electric so it hunt guppies down and skins them to wear as armor. The spider starts out as resistant as gyppy in till you start breaking the skin and it's just great. The monster ecology is just great to read.
When he described that part where as a hunter we overcame the impossible to defeat that impossible creature...and then we still don't get the item we needed...I felt that.

They were talking about Super Best Friends they're the Let's Play group that got me into Devil May Cry. They never actually played the game until before they disbanded but they would always talk about the game which made me check it out. Although I'm surprised I never got into MonHun considering they talked about that some to. I think they made it seem like an MMO which is why I never had an interest. Either way there's a strong connection between DMC and MonHun. The guy's who made them worked on some rpg beat em up a long time ago and said they'd like to do a DnD inspired RPG similar to what they made before but had you climb monsters with your party. From that MonHun was born but the DMC guy made DMC games. However after DMC 4 Itsuno the director of DMC said to the MonHun guy that they should get started on that idea of theirs and combined their efforts to make Dragon's Dogma. Dragon's Dogma acting as a halfway point between MonHun and DMC. It unfortunately like DMC got screwed so it's hard to recommend to people but you still can see a lot of cool stuff it just has no story and not enough content that capitalizes on it's strengths. Still a good game as well to I just wish they could have gotten more time to make cooler monster fights since there's a lot of great ideas. Anyways I've said it in other comments but Dragon's Dogma is getting a sequel and considering how well Capcom has been treating it's people it could be a really big deal.
Monster Hunter is straight up just whack monster with stick. Be it big bonk stick or ranged gun stick, just hit monster with stick. The best experience you can get in Monster Hunter is fighting new monsters and learning their move set.

This is NOT a fun fight, this descripe Alatreons fight really good. I have less problems with Fatalis than i have with Alatreon because he have a really unique challenge in his fight and sure now i can kill him but at the begining he was a pain in the ass enemy. In Monster Hunter you really spend most of the time hunting the same monster over and over again only to get the one part so you get the Missing Weapon or Amorepiece only to realize that the next Monster on your way up have better stuff but even so i really love the game and with over 2k houres it is one of most played games ever.

Greatsword: your slow but you hit like a semi truck
Dual Blades: the complete opposite of the Greatsword
Lance: your main method of attack consist of poking and blocking
Gunlance: the lance but better, now with explosives
Bowgun: it’s a gun
Heavy Bowgun: a slower bowgun but now with a fucking Gatling gun or penetrating sniper
Insect Glaive: you can vault into the air and send your little bug pet to give you a random buff from the monsters fluids
Hammer: you can’t cut off appendages but your chances of stun are guaranteed
Hunting Horn: the Hammer but he plays Bard in DnD
Charge Blade: go look at the 15 page manual for it cause I’m not typing it onto here
Switch Axe: you can climb onto the monster and administer an explosive at point blank, you can also switch between axe mode and sword mode, although axe mode has a bar that needs to be filled
Bow: it’s a bow, has some pretty cool moves though
Long Sword: it’s essentially counter attack: the weapon

Anyone else wanna see them watch combat gods? 2nd part came out after 3 years, really good👍🏼
Monster Hunter is straight up just whack monster with stick. Be it big bonk stick or ranged gun stick, just hit monster with stick. The best experience you can get in Monster Hunter is fighting new monsters and learning their move set.
There’s a lot of new league of legends trailer and overwatch trailers that came out
You two should watch his other mh video "how to monster hunter rise"
For another Monster Hunter “retrospective” I would recommend SugarPunch’s video.
A Japanese inspired game requires math.. shocked! It also doesn't hold your hand... shocked! Hard... shocked!
This game is literally one of the greatest co-op games next to resident evil 5 and Revelations 2.
Tho if you want a more fitting video on monster hunter to react to, i think the girlfriend reviews vids on monster hunter would be perfect
Dude real talk I ran through ebony odogaron fifty times before I got my first win.

Always down to check out more Max0r 😀
I know it's the same game, but you should watch Max0r's video on Monster Hunter. Wild, crazy, fast-talking, and extremely funny. Or just watch a Max0r video of one of his other game "reviews".
That endgame monster is the absolute worst and huge pain in the ass, even for me who's been playing these games ever since Tri. But there's also this one game that I think you'll like and when I heard music that's from this game in this video I just had to reccommend, No More Heroes is the name and this video shows all the cutscenes. ^^

So monster hunter is like dark souls but slower, got you.
Charge blade isn’t that hard then what he’s trying to make it out to be
Can you guys react to the new D2 reveal trailer 2?!🤩 it’s epic!! 🤯😱 please
You guys should do crap guide to monster hunter and crap guide to dnd there hilarious
Play it please!
Well ain’t that abit interesting… I am a big fan of world and due to the fact that I live under a rock I don’t really know the community too well but I didn’t know people were abit, aggressive where minor stuff like that I thought considering there is like no PvP that people would be a lot more chill 😅
Will you be watching Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate monster cutscenes?
Hi can you react to the persona games.
The Lady of Heaven movie will be released on Movie streaming platforms, including Apple TV, Google Play, Amazon Prime and Microsoft on December 23 this year, and will also be streaming on iNDEMAND and DIRECT TV on January 13 2023 next year, it would be interesting if you could show us your review about the movie if you’re going to watch it.
You should react again to Monster Hunter Sunbreak, or the Ultimate Recap for Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak by Tea Common Shark, very funny
There is a scammer in the chat. They replied to my previis comment for this vidio
Thanks for letting us know. We do our best to weed them out but they keep coming back with different profiles 😡
If you wanna learn about individual monsters, I highly recommend ragegamingvideos, he has an entire series explaining different monsters from across the series
I'd rather recommend Oceaniz's ecology videos.
@@handtomouth4690 oh no denying that his are good, it's just rage is more beginner friendly with how he formats things
I have over 1200 hours across 3 Monster Hunter games (basically rookie hours) since I started playing MHWorld in 2018, and over half of that time was spent in World itself. I still haven't beaten monkey in that game.
Hey guys, I saw you've been liking some of Smites videos, if you get a chance there's an awesome channel putting videos of smite pro leagues best moments called Betty eSports, I think you'd really enjoy it
