  • SPOILERS for seasons 1-8 of Game of Thrones.
    Watch in 1080 HD.
An ultimate tribute to Cersei Lannister, my favorite character from Game of Thrones. Lena Headey has done an excellent job portraying Cersei's pain and ambition from her most sorrowful moments to her most ruthless ones. She will be missed.

⚜️I see Sansa as her heir, afterall she was a surrogate mother to her. She raised her to be a realistic woman, she did take her time to correct her fantasies and not leaved her to be a sentimental foolish girl when she very well could have but didn't - she did have a heart and not only for her children contrary to the common take on her. And I believe there to be a soft spot in there for little and unprotected girls(from her experiences as one. Her feeling the need to give life lessons to Sansa, the look on her eyes when she is looking at Sansa and the look she has when she looks at and talks about Mrycella, her actions when Mrycella was beeing shipped off to Dorne for political gain and her reaction at Tywin every time he brings up the issue of him marrying herself off again; it all adds up ) just like Tyrion had for criples, bastards and broken things-. Because she knew everywhere in the world they hurt little girls from her own experience in that world she tried to shape the little bird who believed in songs, love and, power and justice of the Gods into a strong women with her advises on life , educating her of realities of beeing a woman in that world. 👑🦁 👑🐺

only with the help of your video I realized how many unhealthy relationships Cersei had in her life. I mean how much hatred, annoyance and disappointment in one woman. It looks like Qyburn and Myrcella were the only people in her life who never made her angry or made her disappointed or hurt her. It's so sad

partially true, she became what she became mainly because of her domineering father and her abusive husband. I would also add the intrigues by those around her, Littlefinger etc
If she was a Targaryen and could have married her brother, she would have been a happy woman. Jaime was the only person who truly loved her despite all her faults. Not even her children loved her as he did. Tommen was ready to sell her to the High Sparrow, Joffrey didn't care about anyone. Only Jaime was ready to do anything for her, even die with her, yeah they had a disagreement. Mostly her fault, because of her stupid decision not to fight the dead. If she did join the fight, she would have put Daenerys into bad light if she re-started hostilities.
Anyhow, Jaime came back for her despite it meant certain death, and when she sees him, she has an emotional break down, he came for her, not the queen, but for Cersei the woman, his sister and lover. Her sincere concern for his wounds reveal that her feelings for him a profound too.

Women are lusted after for all the wrong reasons. Stripping Cersei naked to shame her for her "sins" leaves you wondering just how much low men are willing to stoop to feast their eyes on a naked woman all under the pretext of "punishment".

Cersei wasn't cruel or heading towards madness like mamy claim or already MAD. And certainly was not a tyrant like Daenerys loved to claim her to be to Jon and Sansa repeatedly. It was Daenerys' propaganda, a manipulative move on her part in the game. Against Cersei collecting the support of the realm saying they were foreign savage invaders - which was veey true indeed- Actually she was acting more logcal since she lost her children despite the pain and the way it wounded her. "The more people you love the weaker you are. You would do thngs for them you know you shouldn't do. You'll act the fool. To make them happy, to keep tham safe. Love no one but your children,on that account a mother has no choice " (here think a little about Joeffrey as a whole and his decision about Ned Stark, Robert's bastards, assasination attempt of Tyrion etc, you'll see the real Cersei ) And remember the fact that she never resorted to violence when it was not necessary, when there was an other way. She killed only for revenge (and not nonsensical ones on that, only against the real unfair treatments he and her children got, the deadly ones) and for survival. Just think, about the blowing of the Cept of Baelor, Septa Unella, Elaria Sand, Ned Stark... Even about Ned she wanted to send him to the wall even though he knew a fatal secret of hers because she didn't want to start chaos or war and trusted him to keep the secret. She was not hot tempeed especially after the death of her children... She was cool and collected. Followed the logical path. She didn't claim to love the people she ruled over but never tried to bring them any harm and acted upon the best interest of the realm because it meant to be her best interest as well. That might not be compassionate but logic is more important in ruling than sentiments anyway. Nothing we knew about her indicated her becoming a bad ruler when she got the chance to rule on her own right,it was quite the opposite tbh. And nothing she did indcated her descending into madness, she may be selfish but she wasn't self-righteous, entitled, hot-tempered or cruel . She was cool and collected, just like Sansa.

I agree, Cersei was a better ruler than Daenerys could ever be. The later was mad from the start, when she wanted to learn how to please sexually her rapist husband was enough to realize that she was crazy. Cersei had an abusive husband like her, but she never even considered to give him the satisfaction of becoming his sex slave to please him.
I can't even understand why people call Cersei a villain, all she does is take revenge against those who hurted her. Many other characters did much worse than she did. Ned Stark executed people who deserted without even checking why or what happened and he's considered a good guy.
Neither I can understand why people claim she was the reason her children died, Joffrey was killed by Olenna to get rid of him, Myrcella by the Evil Ellaria who wanted to avenge Oberyn, who in turned wanted to avenge his sister killed on Tywin's orders not Cersei. Tommen wanted to give his own mother into sacrifice to the High Sparrow, so he could continue to have sex with Margaery.
Cersei major mistake was with Tyrion, if she could put aside her unjustified hatred, he could have been an asset to the Lannister cause, he was also condescending towards her relationship with Jaime.
Another major mistake she did, was not to listen to Jaime in regards the war with the dead. If she joined the fight against the dead, Daenerys would have had a hard time to restart hostilities against her.
Despite her tragic life, her death was poetic, she died in the arms of the only person who truly loved her and whom she truly loved.
